Urban Martial Saint

Upon learning that the South Ridge Sect had ties with the Japanese, Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu’s intentions became very clear. They needed to first go to Bei Wu City and completely eliminate the South Ridge Sect.

Their thoughts were the same. For Huaxia people, personal grievances could be fought over any way they liked. But when it involved outsiders, it was entirely different. Colluding with the enemy and betraying the country was a crime worthy of death!

The two of them didn’t search the mountain any further and instead went straight down the mountain. As soon as they reached the foot of the mountain, Ye Qing saw Old Wang and a group of people rushing hurriedly towards a truck from a distance.

Ye Qing’s face immediately went dark with lines of frustration. Earlier, while climbing to the cliff top, he was so busy searching for Huangfu Ziyu he had forgotten about Handsome Fatty Wang and the others. Unexpectedly, Handsome Fatty Wang and his group had already climbed up and were quietly running down the mountain. From the looks of it, they clearly intended to take advantage of the chaos to drive away with these famed instruments and escape first.

”Fat Wang, you son of a bitch!” Ye Qing shouted loudly, speeding up as he ran downhill.

”Holy crap!” Fat Wang was so frightened when he saw Ye Qing that he almost lost his soul, scrambling up into the truck and repeatedly attempting to start it, but the vehicle wouldn’t start.

Of course not. To prevent any accidents, Ye Qing had purposely tampered with it. After a few unsuccessful attempts to start, Fat Wang realized he couldn’t escape as he saw Ye Qing catching up, so he laughed awkwardly and climbed down from the truck.

”Young Ye, why did you come down so late? We’ve been waiting for you for ages!” Fat Wang wore a guileless expression, saying, ”Come on, let’s leave Bei Wu City first, shall we? After all the help you’ve given us, I absolutely must treat you to a meal.”

”Shut up!” Of course, Ye Qing wouldn’t be fooled by Fat Wang’s act. He yanked Fat Wang off the truck, pointing to the sedan car beside them, saying, ”You guys, take this car and follow me.”

Fat Wang grudgingly said, ”There’s more of us, isn’t sitting in that car going to be a bit cramped?”

”I don’t care how cramped you get, even if you end up hugging the car’s wheels, it’s none of my business!” Ye Qing replied irritably.

Fat Wang said, ”Young Ye, that’s not fair. After all, we’re brothers. It’s fine that you took my stuff, but bullying people like this isn’t nice!”

”And you have the nerve to say that?” Ye Qing flared up too, ”I sent you to the Shen Family Manor to have them protect you. And what do you do? You ran off and emptied their Treasure Pavilion. Uncle Shen called me up, and I didn’t even know how to explain it to him. Bully you? If I really intended to bully you, I’d have kicked you off that cliff long ago!”

”Damn it, you make it sound like it’s my fault. If it weren’t for you screwing me over with that Dragon Blood Wood last time, having me chased by so many people every day, would I be in this situation now?” Fat Wang got worked up too, ”You’re cunning, you know that? Not only did you make replicas of the Dragon Blood Wood, but you also pinned it on me. Damn it, if it weren’t for me being smart, I’d have been killed several times over by that old bastard Prince Wan Yan. You say I screwed you over, haven’t you ever screwed me?”

”You deceived me first with the Dragon Blood Wood, I was just paying you back in kind!”

”Damn, then why don’t you mention how you snatched the Dragon Blood Wood in Tianzhao City and got us caught by Prince Wan Yan?”

”If you want to count that, then what about when you led Prince Wan Yan to deal with me?”

”Oh, and how about the time you beat me up in Liaoshen City?”

”That’s because you tried to steal my Seven-Star Ancient Sword first, of course, I was going to beat you up!”

”You beat me up because I stole your stuff? What kind of bullshit logic is that?”

”Your logic is the bullshit here; you steal my stuff, and I can’t beat you up?”

Ye Qing and Fat Wang started arguing back and forth, leaving the people around them utterly dumbfounded and speechless.

”What’s going on?” Huangfu Ziyu had also arrived and asked in surprise.

Fat Wang was still angry and quickly said, ”What’s it to you, we’re talking…”

Before he could finish, Huangfu Ziyu wordlessly bent a bow and aimed it at Fat Wang. Fat Wang paused, glanced at Ye Qing, and whispered, ”Young Ye, who is she to you? What’s she doing, using an empty bow to scare people? Is there something wrong here?”

Fat Wang gestured to his head, implying he thought Huangfu Ziyu was not right in the head.

Huangfu Ziyu’s face turned cold, and she suddenly adjusted her Sun Shooting Bow slightly before releasing the bowstring. The air arrow instantaneously shot out, smashing a small stone more than ten meters behind Fat Wang into pieces.

Hearing the noise and seeing the stone explode into fragments, Fat Wang plopped down onto the ground. He looked at the shattered stone, then at Huangfu Ziyu, and finally at Ye Qing, his voice trembling, ”What...what is that thing?”

”Shut up, or next time I’ll blow your head off!” Huangfu Ziyu shouted coldly.

Handsome Fatty Wang looked at Ye Qing and asked in a low voice, ”Young Ye, where did you find such a shrew...”

”You still dare to talk!” Huangfu Ziyu immediately drew her bow and aimed at Handsome Fatty Wang. Wang immediately shut up, covering his mouth with his hand, not daring to utter another word.

”My wife’s temper isn’t as good as mine, fatty, you’d better behave. Otherwise, even though she won’t kill you, if she decides to break an arm or leg, I won’t be able to stop her.” Seeing Handsome Fatty Wang like this, Ye Qing couldn’t help but laugh, and said slowly, ”Even if she doesn’t do that, if by chance she changes your gender or something, that wouldn’t be good, right?”

Hearing this, Handsome Fatty Wang subconsciously glanced at his crotch, his face turning a deep purple.

”Now, do you have any objections to sitting in that car?” Ye Qing asked.

No one answered because those people had already rushed to the car, scrambling to get in. Handsome Fatty Wang was the last one, squeezing into the car with great effort.

Seeing how obedient they were, Ye Qing couldn’t help but chuckle. He gave Huangfu Ziyu a wink, and Huangfu Ziyu finally put away the Sun Shooting Bow.

The two got into the car, Ye Qing started the vehicle, and as he drove toward the city, he laughed, ”I must say, it’s my first time seeing that fat guy so afraid of someone!”

”These kinds of people respond to force, not kindness!” Huangfu Ziyu laughed and said, ”You’re too straightforward with your friends. If it were me, I’d have beaten him into submission long ago!”

In the back car, Handsome Fatty Wang lay awkwardly across several people’s legs, as the car was too crowded. Next to him lay another person, both of them sprawled on the legs of four people. The front passenger seat had two people, and there was one driver—nine people packed into the small car.

”Oh my, for crying out loud, I’m being crushed here!” Handsome Fatty Wang complained while grumbling, ”Old Wang, pull your knee back a bit. It’s been poking me, it’s unbearable.”

”You have the nerve to complain, you’re over 200 pounds, lying on our legs, each of us bearing at least fifty pounds. You think it’s uncomfortable being poked? I find it uncomfortable being squashed!” Old Wang retorted unhappily.

”How’s that my fault? The car’s only so big, someone has to lie on top and someone has to sit below!”

”Are you blaming my knee then?”

”That’s not what I meant, oh my, it’s really hard to communicate with you.” Handsome Fatty Wang looked helplessly at the driver ahead and said, ”Hey, why are you following him? Find a chance to slip away and grab another car, so we don’t have to suffer being so cramped!”

”That won’t work, they told us to follow them!” the driver replied.

”Nonsense, why follow them? They’ve taken everything from us, can you actually take it back? We should slip away while they haven’t noticed!”

”I don’t think that’s a good idea!” someone in the back said, ”The South Ridge Sect people have scattered, who knows which path they’re taking now. If we wander off and encounter them, we’re dead for sure. I think it’s safer to follow them, even if we run into South Ridge Sect people, they can fight them off. If we go alone, it’s a dead end for us!”

These words gained the support of the others in the car. Although Handsome Fatty Wang didn’t want to follow Ye Qing, he had no choice and could only lay helplessly on the four people’s legs.

After more than half an hour, they finally arrived at Bei Wu City. As soon as they entered the city, Ye Qing noticed in surprise that the city was much livelier than the last time he was here. It was the middle of the night, yet there were still many people on the streets, most of them discussing something, as if it were quite lively.

”What’s going on?” Huangfu Ziyu was also very surprised.

Ye Qing parked the car and had Handsome Fatty Wang send two people to inquire around. Not long after, two people returned, one of whom rushed up to Ye Qing and exclaimed eagerly, ”The South Ridge Sect’s several properties caught fire; they’re burning right now, and people are discussing this matter!”

”All their properties caught fire?” Ye Qing asked in astonishment, ”What happened? How could South Ridge Sect, with so many guards, suddenly catch fire?”

”It seems to be arson; the scene reeks of gasoline.”

”Arson?” Ye Qing furrowed his brows and asked, ”How long has it been burning?”

”Not long, about half an hour.”

”Half an hour?” Ye Qing’s expression changed slightly. Half an hour ago, they were on their way from Great Xiao Mountain to the city. How coincidental that at precisely this time, all of South Ridge Sect’s properties caught fire?

Moreover, the South Ridge Sect’s influence in Bei Wu City was great, with many subordinates. Logically speaking, if a fire occurred, it should have been quickly extinguished. But why has the fire continued to spread, and why did all of South Ridge Sect’s properties catch fire? This makes one wonder if there’s more to this than meets the eye.

”Could it be the South Ridge Sect themselves who set the fires?” Huangfu Ziyu asked from the side.
