Urban Martial Saint

Prince Wan Yan had been fleeing through this forest for nearly twenty minutes, yet he still couldn’t shake off Huangfu Ziyu. Instead, Huangfu Ziyu’s attacking range was getting closer and closer to him. Finally, Huangfu Ziyu released an arrow that sliced through the air, directly cutting down the large tree blocking Prince Wan Yan’s overhead cover, fully exposing his figure.

Feeling the open sky above, Prince Wan Yan immediately wanted to dive into the nearby shrubs. However, just as he turned his body, an arrow struck the spot in the shrubs. Clearly, Huangfu Ziyu had already taken aim at him, and now, no matter where he ran, he couldn’t escape Huangfu Ziyu’s air arrows!

Facing this situation, Prince Wan Yan was utterly disheartened. He simply stopped running and turned to look at Huangfu Ziyu floating in the air. The panic that was on his face was now replaced with resentment and spite.

”Huangfu Ziyu, today I admit my defeat!” Prince Wan Yan gritted his teeth and said in a deep voice, ”Even if you can kill me, so what? My Wanyan Family is prosperous, you cannot kill all of my family members. One day, my descendants will avenge me.”

”The future can wait for the future!” Huangfu Ziyu said coldly, enunciating each word: ”But today, you must die!”

As Huangfu Ziyu spoke, she had already slowly drawn the Sun Shooting Bow, just right aimed at Prince Wan Yan.

Facing this formidable Sun Shooting Bow, Prince Wan Yan sighed deeply, closed his eyes, and said, ”Huangfu Ziyu, I am defeated by fate, not by you! If fate favored me, today, it would be you who dies!”

”A loss is a loss, no matter to whom, you must die!” Huangfu Ziyu yelled angrily and suddenly released the bowstring, and an air arrow immediately sliced through the air, headed straight for Prince Wan Yan.

Hearing the sound of the air arrow tearing through the air, Prince Wan Yan’s heart chilled to the extreme in that instant, as if this was his death knell. As the sound approached, his life would end!

The arrow pierced the air, newly released by Huangfu Ziyu, and the air arrow reached right in front of Prince Wan Yan. Yet at that very moment, a peculiar narrow knife suddenly attacked, directly blocking the air arrow.

The air arrow released by the Sun Shooting Bow was as powerful as a peak master’s full-force strike, who could block it?

Huangfu Ziyu’s eyebrows immediately furrowed because the air arrow she released was indeed blocked by someone. And most crucially, a black-clothed, masked person appeared at the scene, precisely blocking Prince Wan Yan.

Prince Wan Yan was unexpectedly saved by this suddenly appearing black-clothed, masked person!

”Who are you?” Huangfu Ziyu frowned tightly and said in a deep voice, ”Why meddle in my affairs?”

The black-clothed, masked person did not speak, only gestured to Prince Wan Yan to run first.

”May I know, Senior...” Prince Wan Yan was also full of astonishment, obviously not recognizing this person. He wanted to ask a few questions, but the person once again resolutely gestured to him to leave, clearly not intending to talk to him.

”This...” Prince Wan Yan hesitated for half a second, looked at Huangfu Ziyu floating in the air, then glanced at the black-clothed, masked person, and without a word, turned and ran. He didn’t know what this black-clothed, masked person’s background was, but since they came to save him, it was an opportunity to survive!

”You think you can run away!” Huangfu Ziyu shouted angrily, once more shooting an arrow at Prince Wan Yan.

Upon hearing the sound, Prince Wan Yan instinctively turned to look. However, the black-clothed, masked person suddenly flicked a sleeve, a powerful force directly pushed Prince Wan Yan forward six or seven meters, dodging Huangfu Ziyu’s air arrow.

Having narrowly escaped death once more, Prince Wan Yan understood that this black-clothed, masked person intended to save his life. At this point, he no longer thought of anything else and ran frantically, not daring to look back at all. He knew that the black-clothed, masked person would take care of the situation behind him!

Seeing Prince Wan Yan flee, Huangfu Ziyu was enraged, immediately drawing her bow, preparing to shoot another arrow. Unexpectedly, the black-clothed, masked person suddenly charged towards her, raising his knife from afar and slashing down.

Huangfu Ziyu slightly frowned, as the black-clothed, masked person was over a dozen meters away from her. Even if he was a peak master, the power of this slash couldn’t possibly reach her. What was this black-clothed, masked person trying to do?

However, half a second later, Huangfu Ziyu realized something was wrong. When the black-clothed, masked person raised his knife, he was still over a dozen meters in front of Huangfu Ziyu. Yet somehow, by the time the knife was halfway down, the person suddenly vanished, as if disappearing into thin air.

Huangfu Ziyu had never seen such a scene before, and in her surprise, the Sun Shooting Bow in her hand suddenly vibrated. With a thought, Huangfu Ziyu immediately stepped back a few meters. Just as she retreated, the black-clothed, masked person appeared in the spot where she had just stood, slashing down. Had Huangfu Ziyu not retreated in time, this slash would have definitely cut her in two!

”What kind of martial arts is this?” Huangfu Ziyu asked sternly. She had never seen such an eerie movement technique. Although those peak masters earlier were very strong, there were still traces to follow when they performed Qinggong. Even Helian Tiehua’s ”A Stone’s Throw Away,” which claimed to be an earth-shrinking skill, revealed a faint trail if observed closely. However, the movement of this black-clad masked man left no trace at all, as if he had suddenly turned invisible, leaving no clue for anyone to catch.

Luckily, the Sun Shooting Bow had some defensive capabilities. Upon sensing fluctuations in the surrounding forces, it immediately resisted, allowing Huangfu Ziyu to avoid the strike just now. Otherwise, she feared it would have been her end!

The black-clad masked man remained silent, once again raising his knife in mid-air and then disappearing again. With the lesson from the last time, Huangfu Ziyu dared not be careless. She retreated while carefully sensing the fluctuations of the Sun Shooting Bow.

Sure enough, after half a second, the Sun Shooting Bow in her hand transmitted another fluctuation. This time, Huangfu Ziyu felt even more clearly the specific direction of the fluctuation.

Huangfu Ziyu immediately retreated in the opposite direction of the fluctuation. Indeed, as soon as she retreated a few meters, the black-clad masked man reappeared at the position she was standing just moments ago. His actions were bizarre, truly like a ghost, vanishing suddenly and appearing suddenly, as if he could turn invisible, making defense impossible!

”You are using Southeast Asian Invisibility Sorcery!” Huangfu Ziyu said sternly. ”Are you a Southeast Asian Sorcerer!?”

The black-clad masked man still did not answer and attacked again, one knife after another, each strike deadly, intent on killing Huangfu Ziyu. After several rounds like this, Huangfu Ziyu finally figured out the opponent’s pattern, or rather, she better understood the Sun Shooting Bow in her hand. Once she understood the Sun Shooting Bow, she could grasp the opponent’s movements more clearly!

Finally, after dodging a dozen times, Huangfu Ziyu suddenly let out a loud shout, bent her bow, and shot an air arrow straight into the void on the left.

”Ding,” a loud noise echoed, and the black-clad masked man seemed to be struck out of the void, retreating over three meters before he could stabilize himself. He glared coldly at Huangfu Ziyu, the narrow knife in his hand still humming. It showed that Huangfu Ziyu’s arrow just now was blocked by his narrow knife!

Huangfu Ziyu looked at the narrow knife, her brows furrowing again. She was well aware of the Sun Shooting Bow’s power. Although it fired air arrows, they were as potent as a strike from a famed instrument. Inside the Inner Tomb, she had used the Sun Shooting Bow’s air arrows to pierce through the Cave’s rock to escape. In other words, if an ordinary famed instrument took this Sun Shooting Bow’s air arrow head-on, it would likely suffer damage.

However, the narrow knife in the black-clad masked man’s hand, which seemed unremarkable, had consecutively blocked her two air arrows. Most crucially, this narrow knife didn’t sustain any damage at all. This indicated that the narrow knife was no ordinary object!

”You are not using Southeast Asian sorcery!” Huangfu Ziyu said sternly. ”Your martial arts are from Huaxia, but somewhat different from Huaxia martial arts. Who on earth are you!”

The black-clad masked man remained silent, only slowly tightening his grip on the narrow knife, leaving his thoughts a mystery.

”I’ve seen through your little tricks, if we keep fighting, you’re the one who’s going to die!” Huangfu Ziyu said sternly. ”Since you’re here to save Wan Yan Zong, you must be in cahoots with him. So killing you is no injustice!”

The black-clad masked man still did not speak, but suddenly leaped out again, disappearing in mid-air.

Huangfu Ziyu sneered coldly. As the black-clad masked man vanished, she sensed the faint fluctuations of the Sun Shooting Bow, pinpointing the opponent’s location. Thus, even if this person disappeared, Huangfu Ziyu could still clearly capture his trail.

”Seems you truly have a death wish!” Huangfu Ziyu bent her bow and shot, an air arrow piercing the air.

The black-clad masked man was once again struck out by the air arrow, but the narrow knife in his hand still showed no damage. However, Huangfu Ziyu did not speak further this time, shooting another arrow.

The black-clad masked man hurriedly raised his narrow knife to block the air arrow. But Huangfu Ziyu stood floating in the air, shooting arrow after arrow with ease. Down below, the black-clad masked man found it increasingly difficult to ward off the air arrows. After several minutes of confrontation, the black-clad masked man finally made a mistake, and his arm was grazed by an air arrow, leaving a bloody mark!

Huangfu Ziyu nocked her bow again and said sternly, ”If you don’t speak, don’t expect to leave alive!”

The black-clad masked man remained silent, gripping the narrow knife tightly before leaping again.

Huangfu Ziyu slightly frowned. This black-clad masked man knew he was no match, yet still persisted in fighting to the death. What did this mean? What was his relationship with Prince Wan Yan that he would risk his life for him?

However, this time when the black-clad masked man leapt, Huangfu Ziyu did not sense the Sun Shooting Bow’s fluctuation, leaving her slightly puzzled. Could it be that the black-clad masked man could actually escape the Sun Shooting Bow’s detection?
