Urban Martial Saint

On the other side, Huangfu Ziyu relied on the mystical abilities of the Sun Shooting Bow to speedily pursue Prince Wan Yan and his followers, chasing them all the way into a pile of giant rocks.

Within this pile of giant rocks were various mounds and large stones, resembling a stone forest, greatly obstructing the view. Huangfu Ziyu gave chase and saw from afar that Prince Wan Yan had already led his three subordinates over a hundred meters away. Although Huangfu Ziyu had the Sun Shooting Bow, the numerous mounds and large stones in this stone forest blocked her line of sight, preventing her from aiming at her target. She could only continue the pursuit along the path.

Fortunately, Huangfu Ziyu was floating in the air and could clearly see the positions of Prince Wan Yan and his men. Following them this way, there was no risk of losing them at all. Moreover, once they left this stone forest, and Prince Wan Yan and his men were exposed, it would be a piece of cake for Huangfu Ziyu to shoot them!

The stone forest spanned a wide area, approximately six or seven miles in width. Prince Wan Yan also saw from afar that Huangfu Ziyu was pursuing from the sky, which frightened him to no end. At this moment, he had no time to contemplate how Huangfu Ziyu could fly; he could only desperately flee with the three Supreme Elders. At this moment, his only thought was to shake off Huangfu Ziyu, escape the Meng District, and immediately take the Wanyan Family into hiding.

The defeat at Humeng City not only resulted in forming several great enemies, but the family’s foundation was also nearly depleted. The eight Supreme Elders were the core strength of the family and were usually untouched. It was only when the Sun Shooting Bow was about to appear that he brought them out, ready to go all out. Yet five of the Eight Great Supreme Elders died here, and among the remaining three, it was uncertain how many could leave the Meng District alive. His current mood was utterly dejected; his former ambitions were completely crushed in this battle, and his sole thought now was to survive, without even daring to think of anything else.

Moreover, in this expedition in the Meng District, he made significant enemies. He offended both Helian Tiehua and the Bloody Monk, two peak masters; if either came seeking revenge, the Wanyan Family would be hard-pressed to resist. Therefore, he dared not ponder too much. If he could safeguard the Wanyan Family, even at the cost of abandoning the family’s legacy, it would be worth it!

With this thought in mind, Prince Wan Yan bolted desperately, and in less than ten minutes, he led the three Supreme Elders out of the stone forest. However, he had not yet lost his mind; upon rushing out of the forest, he immediately darted into a small wooded area. This wooded area provided even better cover than the stone forest earlier; even if Huangfu Ziyu was floating in the air, it was not easy to spot them now.

Moreover, this wooded area was vast, and considering the current situation, they might indeed have a chance to escape from Huangfu Ziyu’s grasp.

Huangfu Ziyu noticed Prince Wan Yan’s intentions, her delicate brows furrowing as she stared at the completely obscured woodland. Suddenly, she bent the bow and shot, and an air arrow immediately surged into the woodland. The air arrow was incredibly powerful, causing branches to break and leaves to fall as it passed. The mighty Qi force sliced through all trees within a zhang (approximately 3.3 meters) radius, leaving the area exposed.

This was a technique Huangfu Ziyu used by dispersing the Qi force to sever branches, and unexpectedly, it worked wonders. She immediately regained her spirits and fired several successive arrows, instantly piercing through several areas, revealing what lay inside the wooded area.

The group of Prince Wan Yan had been using the cover of the forest to flee; now Huangfu Ziyu severed these branches, gradually revealing their figures.

”Not good!” exclaimed one of the Supreme Elders in alarm, ”At our pace, we can’t outstrip her speed in breaking these branches. If we continue like this, we’ll be killed sooner or later!”

”But we can’t just stop running!” another Supreme Elder said helplessly.

”Split up!” Prince Wan Yan ordered in a low voice, ”Whoever can get out, immediately go into hiding with the family. This time, the Wanyan Family has no chance; we must endure for a generation, rebuild our strength, and wait for the next opportunity!”

Upon receiving Prince Wan Yan’s command, the three Supreme Elders immediately scattered and fled in different directions. By spreading out, they could divert Huangfu Ziyu’s attention, possibly allowing one of them to escape alive.

Huangfu Ziyu hovered in the air, tightening her Long Bow, intently watching the small wooded area below. Suddenly the three Supreme Elders dashed out from different locations, causing her to pause momentarily, but she quickly understood their intentions. She promptly adjusted her Long Bow, aiming at one of the Supreme Elders and releasing an arrow.

This Supreme Elder had run less than twenty meters when an air arrow tore through the air toward him with a piercing sound, shattering his mind’s focus. He hastily dodged, but ultimately could not match the Sun Shooting Bow’s power; the air arrow penetrated his body directly, and he slowly fell to the ground.

Having slain this Supreme Elder with a single arrow, Huangfu Ziyu did not hesitate, quickly adjusting the Long Bow to target the other two Supreme Elders. However, these two managed to flee back into the wooded area, their bodies shielded by the trees, making it impossible for Huangfu Ziyu to continue aiming.

Huangfu Ziyu’s delicate brows furrowed, unable to aim at that Supreme Elder. She then once again used her old trick, leveraging the power of the Sun Shooting Bow to snap those branches, causing these people to lose their cover. After a few more arrows, she finally tracked down one of the Supreme Elders.

”Where do you think you’re going!” Huangfu Ziyu shouted coldly, drawing a full bow, releasing an air arrow that surged forward, piercing through the air, heading straight for that Supreme Elder.

That Supreme Elder was indeed clever; when the branches above his head snapped, he immediately leapt aside. This move actually bought him a chance, as the air arrow shot by Huangfu Ziyu missed him, instead slicing through several nearby large trees.

Missing her target, Huangfu Ziyu didn’t pause and immediately drew her bow and shot again, sending another air arrow. That Supreme Elder was incredibly agile, instantly turning and rolling on the ground upon landing, dodging with no pause, making it impossible for Huangfu Ziyu to aim at him.

After three consecutive misses, Huangfu Ziyu’s expression gradually turned cold. She refrained from striking again, instead watching that Supreme Elder for a moment before suddenly drawing her bow again. However, this time she did not aim at the Supreme Elder, but at a large tree not far from him.

An air arrow shot down, and the large tree was directly felled, almost crashing onto the Supreme Elder. He hurriedly dashed in another direction, but after just a few steps, another tree fell in his path. If not for his quick reflexes, he would have been crushed for sure.

The Supreme Elder was shocked; with several large trees falling, their thick branches blocked the path, hindering his escape considerably. He was anxious beyond measure, knowing that if this continued, with nowhere to hide, he would inevitably face death!

”Huangfu Ziyu, one day, my Wanyan Family will completely annihilate your Huangfu Household, destroy your ancestral tombs, and obliterate your roots!” the Supreme Elder shouted wildly, having completely given up, venting his anger through words.

”We’ll see who gets annihilated first!” Huangfu Ziyu retorted coldly, shooting an arrow that pierced right through the Supreme Elder, from the top of his head downward, his entire body almost exploded by the powerful Qi Force, scattering blood and flesh everywhere.

After killing this Supreme Elder, Huangfu Ziyu didn’t spare him a glance and immediately turned to pursue in another direction. The last Supreme Elder had escaped in that direction, and Huangfu Ziyu intended to kill them all.

Meanwhile, Prince Wan Yan took advantage of the situation to flee desperately in the same direction as before. The three Supreme Elders had rushed out to draw Huangfu Ziyu’s attention, giving him precious time to escape the farthest. After running for a while, he heard a Supreme Elder’s cursing voice in the distance behind him and knew that that Supreme Elder was as good as dead, making him even more frightened and unwilling to pause even for a moment.

Soon after, a third Supreme Elder’s scream echoed from behind, causing Prince Wan Yan’s heart to skip a beat. He realized that the entire foundation of the Wanyan Family, the eight Supreme Elders he brought along, had all perished here without exception. The strength of the Wanyan Family had suffered tremendously, with no qualifications to compete for the Three Gates of Heaven, Earth, and Man now.

Prince Wan Yan was filled with regret, thinking that had he known it would turn out like this, he would not have brought those eight Supreme Elders. Greed had driven him to seize the Sun Shooting Bow, leading to this downfall. The family’s hard-earned strength over the years was completely lost at his hands, reflecting his agonizing mood.

”Wan Yan Zong, your eight Supreme Elders are all dead now. Where do you think you can run?” Huangfu Ziyu’s cold voice suddenly came from behind, like a soul-searching sound, scaring Prince Wan Yan into breaking out in a cold sweat.

”With all eight Supreme Elders dead, the Wanyan Family’s power ends here. Wan Yan Zong, even if you manage to escape, the Wanyan Family won’t rise again!” Huangfu Ziyu spoke coldly once more, ”Are you planning to just eke out a living now, or will you come out to face me in battle?”

Prince Wan Yan gritted his teeth, infuriated by Huangfu Ziyu’s provocation. However, he knew well that he wasn’t qualified to duel with Huangfu Ziyu. If he stepped out, she could shoot him dead with a single arrow, without any suspense!

Holding his breath and calming his mind, he carefully sneaked through the forest to evade Huangfu Ziyu’s pursuit. Behind him, large tree branches continuously snapped, exposing vast areas, causing his heart to race frantically. He truly didn’t know how far he could run; maybe, with the next arrow, Huangfu Ziyu would shoot him in the head or pierce him through!
