Urban Martial Saint

The old man took his place here, and the people who had been driven back immediately turned their heads to look, their eyes filled with confusion.

These people were not aware of the old man’s strength, but they all knew about Jin Zairi’s situation. Jin Zairi had been so thoroughly defeated by this young man; was the old man going up to meet his death?

Shen Qianyue slightly furrowed his brows. Although those people didn’t take the old man seriously, he dared not underestimate him at all. After all, he had already demonstrated his own strength, and now, this old man was still challenging him, which meant his strength must not be weak. Moreover, in Huaxia martial arts, the more one practices, the deeper one delves, and the older one gets, the stronger one becomes. Just like Tie Yongwen, who despite his age, possessed unparalleled strength. Therefore, no one dared to underestimate an elderly man!

”Senior, with all due respect, how could a junior like myself dare to raise a hand against an elder!” Shen Qianyue bowed to the old man and said, ”I apologize, but we have other matters to attend to, so please let us pass!”

”Young man, you’ve struck down so many of our men, and now you think you can just leave?” the old man spoke and immediately reached out to grab Shen Qianyue’s shoulder.

Despite his age, the old man moved with extreme swiftness. Shen Qianyue, with his capabilities, couldn’t dodge in time and was pushed several steps back by the grab.

Shen Qianyue was startled. From just this contact, he knew the old man’s strength was formidable. However, Shen Qianyue wasn’t someone who could be easily defeated. He took a few steps back to dissipate the force of the old man’s grip, then counterattacked by breaking free from the old man’s grasp.

”You’re quite skilled!” chuckled the old man, clenching his fists and moving to engage Shen Qianyue in close combat.

As Shen Qianyue had expected, the old man’s strength was indeed strong, and he was even able to press him. It was well known that Shen Qianyue was the foremost among the younger generation of the Xihang Shen Family, highly skilled even compared to some of the elders. For the old man to best him was no small feat.

The bystanders who had doubted the old man’s capabilities were now dumbstruck. Especially Jin Zairi, whose eyes were wide open. Having once clashed with Shen Qianyue, he was well aware of his formidable strength, far beyond his own. And now, to see the old man put Shen Qianyue on the defensive was unbelievable.

But that was indeed the case. After a while, Shen Qianyue was punched in the shoulder by the old man. He staggered back two steps and held his shoulder, his face turning somewhat pale from the immense power of the old man’s punch.

”Young man, not bad at all!” said the old man with a faint smile, stepping forward towards Shen Qianyue and announcing, ”Unfortunately, you’re far too presumptuous. Today, I’ll teach you a lesson on behalf of your elders!”

As he spoke, the old man threw another punch. Shen Qianyue tried to dodge, but it was already too late. Just as he was about to be struck by the punch, a hand suddenly reached out from the side, grabbed the old man’s wrist, and flung him away.

The old man, however strong, found himself unable to resist at all and was involuntarily thrown aside.

The old man’s expression changed. Upon taking a closer look, the woman who had just stepped down from the vehicle was now standing in front of Shen Qianyue. The person who had thrown the old man out was undoubtedly this woman.

”Auntie...” Shen Qianyue, holding his shoulder, said, ”This man is strong, and his boxing technique is somewhat strange...”

”I know!” the woman said coldly, giving the old man a chilly stare, ”There’s nothing strange about his boxing technique; it’s also Xingyi Quan!”

”What?” Shen Qianyue was taken aback and said, ”This is Xingyi Quan too? How can that be? His punches are so fierce, and he hardly cares for any technique. How could it be Xingyi Quan?”

”This is the Northern Xingyi School’s Xingyi Quan, which differs greatly from the Southern Xingyi School. However, no matter what, it’s all Xingyi Quan!” the woman explained.

Hearing this, the old man’s expression changed again. He sized up the woman and said coldly, ”Madam, you have a keen eye to discern my boxing style. May I ask who you are?”

”You wish to consult me?” the woman looked at the old man sternly, her face full of challenge.

The old man frowned slightly. He knew the woman’s capabilities were not weak, and he really didn’t want to confront her. But her words were very provocative, effectively challenging him. To deny this would mean losing the respect he had just managed to regain.

”Madam has remarkable skills. If you could provide me with some guidance, I would be truly grateful,” said the old man earnestly.

”Hmph, overestimating yourself!” the woman coldly shouted, her eyes full of disdain.

The old man’s expression turned icy. The woman’s words were a clear disregard for his dignity. He gritted his teeth, took a few slow steps forward, and said in a deep voice, ”I am several years older than you. Talking to me like this is highly impolite. Didn’t your elders teach you any manners?”

The woman coldly said, ”Manners exist, but do you deserve us showing you any?”

The old man became furious and said in a deep voice, ”What a sharp-tongued woman you are. Soon, I will knock all the teeth out of your mouth, let’s see if you can still talk like this!”

”Let’s try it then!” the woman coldly shouted, suddenly rushed forward a few steps, and charged right up to the old man.

The woman was much faster than Shen Qianyue; the old man only saw a blur before she had already charged at him. Knowing the situation was bad, he quickly withdrew his arms, swung powerfully, and barely managed to block the woman’s incoming punch. Without any hesitation, he clenched his fists and struck back toward her.

The woman’s boxing technique was not much different from Shen Qianyue’s, but her speed was extremely fast, and the power was also very strong. Her punches did not seem like they could be thrown by a woman. The old man’s punches, however, were very powerful, swinging wide and large. For a moment, he was evenly matched with the woman.

The bystanders were all flabbergasted, especially the people from the Taekwondo Gym. They had always thought Jin Zairi’s technique of kicking wooden boards was impressive, and they had never considered the power of Huaxia martial arts. Now, watching two masters fight, everyone could imagine how they felt. Everyone’s look at the old man changed; initially, they had disregarded him, but now they couldn’t help but admire him!

Although the old man fought vigorously, he knew very well that his situation was not optimistic. In fact, although his attacks seemed powerful, he barely had any chance to counterattack. As soon as he threw a punch, it was immediately pressed back by the woman. Meanwhile, the woman kept attacking continuously, forcing him to exhaust himself in dodging and blocking, gradually, he became only able to defend passively, with no energy to counterattack.

The old man finally understood why the woman was so arrogant—she had the capital to be so. And now, he truly regretted why he had challenged the woman. However, at this point, he found it impossible to retreat. The woman’s Wing Chun boxing had entangled him, leaving him no chance to even back away.

After fighting with the old man for a while, the woman gradually figured out the old man’s strength. A cold smile flickered across her lips, and she suddenly grabbed the old man’s right wrist. The old man quickly reached out with his left hand trying to pull her hand away, but she took the opportunity to press his right wrist down, directly forcing his left hand onto his chest. The old man struggled with all his might but couldn’t free himself from the woman’s grasp!

Without any delay, the woman clenched her left fist and delivered a Wing Chun inch punch right into the old man’s chest. The old man involuntarily tried to step back. However, the woman, holding his arm, forcefully pulled him back, and then another punch landed on his chest. Three consecutive punches, which made the old man vomit blood continuously, after which the woman finally let go of his hand.

Staggering back a few steps, the old man nearly fell to the ground, but was fortunately supported by several of his disciples. Nevertheless, his blood surged violently, and he kept vomiting fresh blood, his complexion extremely pale.

The woman’s three consecutive punches had caused him serious internal injuries, much worse than Jin Zairi had been.

”With just this level of ability, you dare to come to the Southern Six Provinces?” The woman looked coldly at the old man and spat out, ”Go back to the North!”

The old man clenched his teeth, struggling to hold back the surging blood in his chest, and shouted, ”You...who exactly are you?”

”What? You want to know my name to seek revenge later?” The woman said with a cold smile, ”I’m not afraid to tell you, my name is Shen Anyun, from the Xihang Shen Family. If you want revenge, feel free to come and find me at the Xihang Shen Family anytime, I’ll be waiting!”

Hearing this, the old man’s originally angry expression froze. The Xihang Shen Family, being a martial arts holy land of the Southern Six Provinces, was known to everyone. Even as a practitioner of the Northern Xingyi Fist, he was very aware of the strength of the Xihang Shen Family. He never expected to encounter someone from the Xihang Shen Family in Shenchuan City and even fight with them!

After a long silence, the old man slowly sighed and said, ”So, it’s someone from the Xihang Shen Family, no wonder I was defeated. May I ask which of the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members are you?”

Shen Anyun coldly said, ”My skills are not worthy of being among the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members.”

”You...you are not one of the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members?” The old man’s eyes widened, staring at Shen Anyun in amazement, his face filled with disbelief.

”Everyone says the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members have unimaginably deep skills. I never thought you weren’t one of them!” The old man sighed heavily and said, ”Back in the North, I always thought my skills were very strong and came to the Shen Family with confidence to witness the strength of the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members. It turns out, my skills are not even worthy of being a doormat to the Shen Family’s Ten Outstanding Members. I lost, thoroughly convinced in my defeat!”

The old man shook his head, slowly stepped aside, and let the Shen Family pass. Seeing him step back, those with him also hurriedly moved aside, allowing the Shen Family members to go through.
