Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing had gone downstairs, intending to climb up from the other side, when Black Bear and his men also happened to arrive.

”Captain, what’s happening?” Black Bear immediately asked as he ran up to Ye Qing. Ye Qing hadn’t specified the nature of the emergency when he called him, so he had picked a dozen or so handy and capable men to come along, presenting a rather imposing force.

Ye Qing was about to answer when Zhao Chengshuang also happened to call, inquiring about the situation on Ye Qing’s end.

Ye Qing didn’t dare delay, promptly sharing their location with him and asking him to come over with reinforcement immediately. In fact, Zhao Chengshuang’s team had been tracking that car and was not far from this location. Hearing the specifics from Ye Qing, Zhao Chengshuang immediately drove over.

After finishing the call with Zhao Chengshuang, Ye Qing quickly briefed Black Bear about the specific situation.

”Captain, what are you planning to do?” asked Black Bear.

Ye Qing answered gravely, ”I’ll climb up from the back first, you head to the front door and rush in on my signal!”

”Alright!” Black Bear replied succinctly, their coordination flawless and straightforward.

With everything arranged, Ye Qing immediately headed to the back of the building. The security guard followed Ye Qing for a few steps, urgently asking, ”Ye, is there anything I can help you with?”

The guard, seeing so many people arrive in such a tense atmosphere, became excited himself, eager to be involved.

It obviously wasn’t appropriate to let the security guard interfere in this matter, but seeing his excited expression, Ye Qing didn’t want to be blunt and said, ”Please wait at the entrance. There will be some police arriving soon; guide them here!”

”Sure thing!” The security guard, thrilled, immediately turned and ran towards the main entrance.

Ye Qing reached the back of this building, which was styled in an older fashion, with protective window bars and air conditioning units—facilitating climbing. For someone of Ye Qing’s ability, climbing these was exceedingly easy. However, to avoid alarming anyone, he had to slow down, taking nearly half a minute to reach the second floor.

The apartment on the second floor was previously where Ye Qing and others had stayed, with protective window bars installed, making entry from the outside difficult. However, Ye Qing had observed during his previous stay that the window bars in Mu Qingrong’s room had been pried open, and a few steel bars were almost broken.

Ye Qing climbed to the window of Mu Qingrong’s room and peered inside through the curtains, barely making out a girl sitting with her back to him. His heart skipped—without a doubt, this had to be Lin Huayu. He had not expected she would be in Mu Qingrong’s room, which made his rescue operation much more convenient.

Leaning against the window, Ye Qing looked carefully; the broken steel bars were still there, which made things easier. Slowly extending his hand, Ye Qing grabbed the base of those steel bars and gently exerted force, tearing the bars apart without making noise, as not to startle anyone.

As Ye Qing was pulling at these steel bars, in the next room, Netherworld Scholar was busy smooching and kissing Zhao Qingyue on the bed. Ye Qing’s noises were clearly audible to him, but initially, he didn’t pay much attention. That’s how men are—when desire strikes, they often ignore many other things around them.

However, when the sound of steel bars breaking resounded a third time, Netherworld Scholar slightly lifted his head. Zhao Qingyue lay on the bed with a resigned expression, simply closing her eyes, indifferent to what Netherworld Scholar might be doing.

But Netherworld Scholar didn’t continue any further; instead, he listened intently to the noises from the next room. Suddenly, a faint sound echoed within the room, as if someone was walking inside.

Hearing this, the color drained from Netherworld Scholar’s face, realizing something was amiss. Without any hesitation, he got up and walked to the adjoining room, just in time to see Ye Qing helping Lin Huayu untie her bonds.

Netherworld Scholar’s face turned livid as he exclaimed angrily, ”You little thief, seeking death!”

With a loud shout, Netherworld Scholar charged over, kicking straight at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing had jumped into the room, intending to rescue Lin Huayu first before dealing with the kidnappers. He hadn’t expected that the kidnapper would be so alert; he hadn’t even made much noise, yet the kidnapper had already confronted him.

Ye Qing did not dare to hesitate and immediately rose to take on the Netherworld Scholar’s kick with his shoulder, hoping to use the ”Stick to the Mountain” technique from Bajiquan to knock down the Netherworld Scholar. Unexpectedly, the power of the kick was terrifyingly fierce. When Ye Qing collided with him, not only did he fail to repel the Netherworld Scholar, but he was also forced to retreat several steps himself, his shoulder painfully stinging, almost causing him to faint!

Ye Qing’s expression changed. He knew this man was strong, but he had not expected him to be terrifyingly so. Fortunately, Ye Qing had used his right shoulder, whose meridians and acupoints had been opened by that scruffy monk and the old man, allowing him to release internal energy and circulate his True Qi very swiftly. As the True Qi circulated, the pain diminished slightly, making it a bit more bearable.

The Netherworld Scholar frowned and coldly watched Ye Qing, said, ”So, you are a practitioner after all. No wonder you’re so bold, daring to dig on the dragon’s head. I think you’re really tired of living!”

Ye Qing coldly stared back at the Netherworld Scholar, knowing he was not someone he could handle. However, he still protected Lin Huayu behind him and retorted, ”As someone skilled in Martial Arts, to stoop so low. Humph, if word of this gets out, I think it’s you who will truly be tired of living!”

”Hahaha...” The Netherworld Scholar laughed uproariously and said, ”Kid, listen carefully. All those so-called constraints in the martial arts community, that those skilled in Martial Arts should not bully the weak or prey on the unskilled, it’s all nonsense. If we can’t bully the unskilled, then what’s the point of learning Martial Arts, huh? What constraints? It’s all crap. If you’re stronger, no one dares to question what you do. If you’re weaker, whatever you do is always wrong. I’ve roamed Jianghu for many years and no one has dared to do anything to me. You think you can do anything to me?”

Ye Qing frowned deeply. He did not know the Netherworld Scholar but this man’s arrogance truly matched his strength. Ye Qing knew the current situation well. With his abilities, if he were to directly confront the Netherworld Scholar, he probably couldn’t last a minute. Moreover, asking Black Bear and the others for help might lead to even more casualties since their strength was even weaker. However, if he didn’t get Black Bear and the others to help, he definitely could not last much longer.

Several thoughts passed through his mind in an instant. Meanwhile, the Netherworld Scholar’s expression had already turned frosty as he coldly said, ”Enough talk, dare to ruin my plan, I’ll cripple you first!”

Saying this, the Netherworld Scholar charged towards Ye Qing and reached for his neck with a rising hand. His move was swift and strong, far stronger than Ye Qing’s. Most crucially, even before his hand touched Ye Qing, Ye Qing already felt a fierce force surging forward, the power of Internal Energy Release.

”Ha!” Ye Qing roared, grabbing Lin Huayu beside him and tried to duck and rush past the Netherworld Scholar. However, the Netherworld Scholar was so quick, he grabbed Ye Qing by the neck before Ye could get away.

However, Ye Qing used this opportunity to throw Lin Huayu out of the room. He himself did not delay, and with a reverse grip, grabbed the Netherworld Scholar’s wrist, trying to forcefully twist it free.

”Hehehe...” The Netherworld Scholar sneered repeatedly, ”You’re too weak, you can’t even manage Internal Energy Release, what makes you think you can fight me!”

While Ye Qing’s grip was strong, capturing the Netherworld Scholar’s wrist, he couldn’t budge him at all. He hit the Netherworld Scholar with two punches, but it seemed the Netherworld Scholar felt nothing and instead, lifted Ye by the neck.

Just then, there were several light knocks at the door followed by it opening. The Netherworld Scholar’s expression changed as he turned his head, and several men had already charged in.

”Captain!” Black Bear entered shouting, seeing the situation Ye Qing was in, wished to rush to help.

The Netherworld Scholar furrowed his brow, not expecting more people to be here. Hesitating briefly, Ye Qing’s right arm suddenly punched him in the chest. Previously, Ye Qing had punched normally, but this time, he gathered his internal strength before striking. Ye Qing’s right arm could now release internal energy, and having accumulated strength for a while, the force was immense, making even the Netherworld Scholar grunt in pain, involuntarily releasing his grip.

Ye Qing finally broke free from the Netherworld Scholar and shouted hoarsely, ”Take Huayu and go first!”

Black Bear was almost about to run in but immediately turned and ran out, picking up Lin Huayu and fleeing. He never doubted Ye Qing’s commands, whatever Ye Qing asked him to do, he did, a soldier’s instinct!

”Where are you running!” The Netherworld Scholar turned his head to chase, but Ye Qing abruptly flipped over a nearby bed and threw it directly at the Netherworld Scholar.

Unable to dodge, the Netherworld Scholar could only turn and punch the bed back. However, by this time, Black Bear had already run out with Lin Huayu while several men blocked the door, not letting the Netherworld Scholar chase after them.

”Seeking death!” The Netherworld Scholar roared furiously and rushed to the door, withdrawing a Folding Fan from his waist and slamming it down hard, striking two of the men on their heads.

The Folding Fan, made of fine steel, was devastating. Unaware of what was happening, the two men collapsed bleeding profusely from their smashed heads.

The three behind were shocked. Seeing this, Ye Qing knew things were dire and urged, ”Get out of the way quickly!”

The three men tried to dodge, but it was too late. The Netherworld Scholar raised his hand and smashed their heads too.
