Urban Martial Saint

Not only was Ghost King Li Ruoyuan’s hand dripping with blood, but He Qinghua, who had just held the blade handle, was in the same situation, also continually dripping blood, which was very strange.

”How could this happen, how could this happen?” He Qinghua exclaimed in astonishment as she looked at the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade in Cui Yulong’s hand. The moment she touched the handle, she had felt a piercing chill penetrate her skin. She dared not grip it tighter because the chill was so sharp, as if it could sever her hand, so she screamed and threw down the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade.

Seeing the condition of Li Ruoyuan’s hand, she knew that Li Ruoyuan had definitely encountered the same situation. But what exactly was going on? Could there be some mechanism on the blade handle?

Seeing Cui Yulong take back the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade, Cui Yu finally felt somewhat relieved. However, he too was equally astonished.

”Yu Long, what is going on here?” Cui Yu asked in surprise. He had seen everything clearly from the side—Cui Yulong hadn’t tampered with anything, so how could such a situation arise?

Cui Yulong put the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade back into the wooden box, but he didn’t close the box, just carried it in his hand. The chilling aura still pervaded the room, compelling everyone to stay vigilant.

”Did you think the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade is something anyone could just pick up?” Cui Yulong coldly swept a glance over He Qinghua and Li Ruoyuan and said, ”Have you forgotten the legends about the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade?”

He Qinghua and Li Ruoyuan exchanged glances. He Qinghua spoke in a deep voice, ”Even if there are legends about the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade, it shouldn’t be this sinister. What exactly have you done to this blade?”

”Laughable to think you want to take my blade without even understanding the true nature of the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade!” Cui Yulong sneered, ”The Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade was originally a blade for killing. Although it is one of the top ten famed blades, it’s also known as the Evil Blade. Due to excessive killing and being steeped in the blood of countless, its murderous aura is overwhelming, thus it’s famed. Later, a legendary artisan made a scabbard that could contain the blade’s murderous aura, allowing it to rest. However, ten years ago, the scabbard was lost. Without the scabbard, the murderous aura of the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade couldn’t be contained. Whoever touches it will be harmed by the blade’s inherent murderous aura, which is why I made this wooden box to store the blade. Once the blade leaves this box, the pent-up murderous aura will burst out and harm people; every part of the blade is lethally sharp. Even touching the handle can cause injury!”

Everyone in the room exchanged looks upon hearing this, and even though high masters like He Qinghua, Li Ruoyuan, and Cui Yu could grasp Cui Yulong’s words, Ye Qing was completely bewildered. Murderous aura, an abstract concept typically used to describe someone’s air, had become something that could physically harm people in Cui Yulong’s description, and this was just a blade, sharp due to its material and make. The idea of it being soaked in the blood of countless individuals seemed far-fetched.

However, upon further reflection, considering that even Inner Strength from the legends existed in this world, indeed there were many things that were beyond human understanding.

”I don’t believe it!” Li Ruoyuan suddenly exclaimed, ”You say that once the blade leaves this wooden box, it is lethally sharp all over, then why weren’t you injured when you picked it up?”

Cui Yu and He Qinghua simultaneously looked towards Cui Yulong, both were puzzled by this as well.

”How do you know I wasn’t injured?” Cui Yulong gently stroked the handle of the blade, his eyes flickering with a reminiscent light, ”Ten years ago, when I first got this blade, both my hands nearly broke. At that time, more than thirty people were hunting me. Unable to put down the blade, I could only endure the pain and fight them with the blade in hand. After fighting day and night, all those thirty people were killed by me, and the blade had its fill of blood, becoming subdued by me. From that day on, no one else in this world could pick up the blade but me!”

He Qinghua and Li Ruoyuan were momentarily stunned, while Cui Yu’s eyes reddened, his voice trembling, ”Yu Long, the pain you endured ten years ago—we will definitely avenge it!”

Cui Yulong didn’t respond to his words; he just coldly looked at Li Ruoyuan and said, ”Now, can you come with me?”

Li Ruoyuan opened his mouth, but ultimately dared not argue any further. If it hadn’t been for Cui Yu speaking out just now, he likely would have been chopped in half by Cui Yulong’s sword. This incident had shown him both Cui Yulong’s strength and the horror of the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade; neither was something he could challenge, so he had no choice but to obey!

Cui Yulong and Li Ruoyuan accompanied Ye Qing out to the courtyard and got in a car, driving straight out of the teahouse. Just as they exited the front alley, two cars quietly followed them. Ye Qing was about to speed up to shake off those two cars when Cui Yulong suddenly said, ”Turn left.”

”Hmm?” Ye Qing looked at Cui Yulong in surprise and said, ”Big Brother Cui, it would be best to head directly to the highway now. Once we get on the highway, they won’t be able to easily catch up, and that would be convenient. Moreover, there should be people waiting on that side. If we go there, won’t we be attracting more people to chase us?”

Cui Yulong shook his head, with indisputable certainty, ”Turn left.”

Not knowing what Cui Yulong was planning, but seeing his confident demeanor, Ye Qing knew he wouldn’t harm him. He turned the steering wheel to the left, following the direction Cui Yulong had indicated.

Just as Ye Qing anticipated, there were several alleys on the left side where many people hid, surveilling the teahouse. As soon as they saw a car coming out of the teahouse, those watching immediately followed. Ye Qing took a detour, and soon seven or eight cars were following him. If it weren’t in the city area, it seemed highly likely they would have all rushed up to surround him.

”Cui Yulong, what are you trying to do, bringing so many people here?” the Ghost King Li Ruoyuan also looked at Cui Yulong in surprise, saying, ”We’d better hurry up and get the people out of here. Otherwise, if we draw a large crowd, it might get difficult to leave!”

Upon seeing the seven or eight cars following him, Cui Yulong nodded in satisfaction and directed Ye Qing to drive toward the outskirts.

This made Ye Qing even more curious; at this moment, instead of getting on the highway, they were heading to the outskirts. Could it be that Cui Yulong intended to fight? With seven or eight cars, adding up to more than thirty people, even if Cui Yulong and the Ghost King had astonishing strength, was there really a need to go through such trouble to fight?

Ye Qing said in a low voice, ”Brother Cui, I think we’d better just hit the highway. There’s no need to waste time with these people!”

”No!” Cui Yulong shook his head, his hand gently touching the handle of the blade peering out of a wooden box in his arms, he said gravely, ”The Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade has been unsheathed. It must draw blood before it can be sheathed again!”

”What?” Ye Qing and Li Ruoyuan both exclaimed in shock. From what Cui Yulong was suggesting, had he lured these people here to feed the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade?

”Does it really need so many people just to draw blood?” Li Ruoyuan said, feeling somewhat guilty since he had unleashed the Evil Blade. When Cui Yulong had wanted to kill him, it was most likely to let the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade draw blood, but he had been stopped by Cui Yu. Now, Cui Yulong intended to kill these people to also re-sheathe the blade!

Cui Yulong said, ”If we don’t scare them off, they will still follow us onto the highway, and even to Dongzhou, which would be bad for Ye Qing!”

Hearing this, Ye Qing finally understood what Cui Yulong truly intended. He not only wanted the Ink Pattern Black Gold Blade to draw blood but more importantly, he wanted to scare all these people at once, ensuring they wouldn’t dare to chase him again and thereby eliminate future threats. It seemed Cui Yulong really thought far ahead for his safety!

However, by drawing so many people here at once, just how many did he actually intend to kill? Cui Yulong was perhaps too crazed.

Following Cui Yulong’s instructed route, Ye Qing led the seven or eight cars to an unpopulated factory area in the suburbs. The cars following were pleased to see such a situation. As Ye Qing’s car entered the factory area, they immediately pursued and stopped his car.

Ye Qing parked and was about to grab a wrench from the car to get out when Cui Yulong held him back by the shoulder.

”You stay in the car, don’t get out!” Cui Yulong turned his head to glance at Li Ruoyuan and said, ”You, come with me!”

”Why isn’t it me staying in the car and him going down with you?” Li Ruoyuan complained unsatisfactorily, but could only grumble and had no choice but to follow Cui Yulong out of the car.

Though Ye Qing’s wounds had somewhat healed, given his current condition, it really wasn’t suitable for him to be fighting. He stayed in the car watching how Cui Yulong and Li Ruoyuan dealt with these people.

Several cars charged forward surrounding Ye Qing’s vehicle, trapping it in the middle. More than thirty people alighted from the vehicles, each carrying a weapon. Among them, Ye Qing had seen most before; there were people from Tianqing Gang, the Fu Bang, Fierce Tiger Gang, and a few other smaller gangs. It looked like nearly everyone in Shenchuan City knew about Ye Qing being suppressed by the Ding Family, like a tiger fallen flat being tormented by a dog; these smaller gangs all wanted to kick Ye Qing while he was down.

Among these people, the one who captured Ye Qing’s attention the most was Li Chengxing, Li Wenyuan’s nephew from the Fu Bang. He led a group of Fu Bang members strutting over. Seeing the somewhat odd-looking Li Ruoyuan, he stared and said, ”What the hell is this thing?”

Li Ruoyuan had already been somewhat discontent with Cui Yulong for bringing him down. Hearing this remark, his expression suddenly changed. He coldly glared at Li Chengxing, his eyes narrowing slightly as he continued to emit a chilling ”jee jee jee” laugh that sent shivers down one’s spine.

”What the hell is this thing, looking almost like a ghost? Is it even human?” Li Chengxing also felt goosebumps and angrily cursed, ”Bastard, stop laughing already. Do you think your laugh sounds good? Shut the hell up, and while you’re at it, explain what’s your relationship with Ye. If you don’t clarify it right now, I’m going to make you suffer today!”
