Urban Martial Saint

After slapping him more than ten times, Elder Master Ding clearly lost some strength and, gasping for air, sat back down in his chair, glaring furiously at Ding Changsheng.

Ding Changsheng, with his head bowed kneeling, had blood in the corners of his mouth, his eyes filled with panic as he carefully said, ”Father, what exactly did I do wrong?”

”What did you do wrong?” Elder Master Ding gritted his teeth and angrily said, ”You tell me what you did wrong?”

Ding Changsheng was completely baffled and said, ”Father, I... I really don’t know what I did wrong. Why are you so angry?”

”You still dare to play dumb with me!” Elder Master Ding grabbed a teacup from beside him and smashed it on Ding Changsheng’s face, angrily shouted, ”You don’t know what you did? What did you say at home this afternoon? How did you address Yongwen? You actually dared to call him a household slave!”

Ding Changsheng’s expression changed, and at that moment, he finally understood why his father was furious; it seemed it was because of his previous derogatory remarks about Tie Yongwen. Ding Changsheng stealthily glanced at Du Tianyi standing beside him, his eyes filled with resentment and anger.

”Don’t look at Tianyi; he didn’t tell me this.” Elder Master Ding shouted angrily, ”Tianyi, oh Tianyi, if it weren’t for someone in the family telling me, I would never have known this brute had done such a thing. You saved him, yet he shot at you, and even dared to call Yongwen a household slave!”

Elder Master Ding became increasingly angry and, grabbing his walking stick, hit Ding Changsheng twice more on the head and angrily said, ”That year, our Ding Family encountered its fiercest enemy seeking revenge. You were captured by that gang, and it was Uncle Tie who risked his life, alone with a knife, to rescue you. Your life was retrieved by Uncle Tie. Everyone thought Uncle Tie was unhurt. Did you forget that Uncle Tie got shot twice in the back while saving you, and still has two indelible scars on his body? What are you, if not for Uncle Tie, where would you be? You dared to call him a household slave, you dared to be such an ingrate, I should beat you to death, you brute!”

Elder Master Ding, furious to the extreme, hit Ding Changsheng several more times, and nobody dared to intervene at the scene. Ding Changsheng didn’t dare to dodge and felt utterly downhearted from the beating.

After hitting him several times, Elder Master Ding swayed, and his walking stick fell to the ground. Seeing something was amiss, Tie Yongwen quickly got up to support him, anxiously saying, ”Elder Master, how are you?”

”Father!”

”Grandfather!”

The other members of the Ding Family also quickly gathered around, each looking very anxious. Elder Master Ding was the most critical figure in the Ding Family, and the Ding Family’s current status was all because of him!

Elder Master Ding’s eyes were already closing, his body stiff, nearing shock.

Tie Yongwen quickly pinched his philtrum, his right hand supporting his back, and slowly transferred True Qi into him to keep him alive. After a while, Elder Master Ding slowly came to and cursed, ”Brute! Such a brute!”

Ding Changsheng kneeled on the ground, not daring to utter a single word in response, but his eyes were filled with deep resentment. Being violently beaten by his father, he placed all the blame on Tie Yongwen and Du Tianyi, never considering what he had done wrong. Yet, in front of his father, he dared not show any sign of this, though in his heart, he already regarded these two as his greatest enemies.

At this moment, Wei Hua also walked in with a driver.

”Father, this is my driver, he can prove this matter.” Wei Hua said to Tie Yongwen, while looking surprised at Ding Changsheng, unable to understand how such a scene had developed just while he was briefly away.

Elder Master Ding slowly regained normalcy, and Tie Yongwen also felt somewhat relieved. Turning his head to the driver, he said in a grave voice, ”Tell me honestly, did Shao Yan have time to make a phone call?”

”No!” The driver answered confidently, seeing the doubtful look on Tie Yongwen’s face, he said, ”A few days ago, I installed a dash cam in my car. The position of this recorder is quite to the back. Young Master Ding was sitting in the front, and the dash cam still captured him, this is the best evidence!”

”Oh, there’s such a thing?” Wei Hua had not heard about this and, hearing this, was immediately overjoyed and said, ”Where is the dash cam, bring the thing over quickly, let everyone see it!”

As Wei Hua spoke, he could not help but laugh out loud and said, ”Father, now we have evidence, this will definitely prove that Shao Yan is innocent. I knew that Ye was simply framing Shao Yan, it couldn’t have possibly been Shao Yan who did this! He clearly intended to frame Shao Yan, committing such an act is utterly unforgivable!”

Tie Yongwen frowned slightly, filled with doubts. He knew Ye Qing’s character; if he wasn’t absolutely sure, he wouldn’t assert that it was Ding Shaoyan who did it. But if it wasn’t Ding Shaoyan who did it, what on earth happened? Could it be that Ye Qing was lying?

It wasn’t long before the dashcam footage was brought over, and everyone gathered to watch it for a while. Indeed, Ding Shaoyan was captured in it, sitting in the car the entire time without even touching his phone. This meant he could not have made that call.

But if the call wasn’t made by him, then who made it? And why did Ye Qing hear his voice?

Tie Yongwen, Gao Shusen, and Du Tianyi were all filled with puzzlement, while the Ding family members and Tie Weihua were ecstatic. Tie Weihua repeatedly said, ”There’s no need to discuss it further; it must be Ye Qing framing Shao Yan. Not only did he frame Shao Yan, but he also caused trouble at Xingyi Martial Arts School, injuring so many of us. He even ran to the Ding family, drove into and damaged the Ding family’s gate, and injured members of the Ding family. Father, you cannot favor him anymore!”

Ding Changyuan stood up and said, ”Uncle Tie, now that it has been proven that Shao Yan is innocent, I think Ye Qing truly owes us an explanation!”

Tie Yongwen furrowed his brow tightly. The development of this matter was completely beyond his expectation, leaving him unsure of what to do for the time being.

”Yongwen, Ye Qing is a good kid; I think there must be some misunderstanding here!” Elder Master Ding stood up and said, ”You should talk to him. It’s best to clear up any misunderstandings. Since the explosion has occurred, there must be someone tampering with evidence here. Ye Qing wouldn’t accuse our Ding family members without reason; it’s best to thoroughly investigate this. If indeed someone from our Ding family is involved, given that the explosion endangered so many children’s lives, whoever is involved must pay with their life. Yongwen, I leave this matter in your hands, and you have my permission to kill anyone involved without further consultation from me.”

Having said this, Elder Master Ding turned and walked slowly toward the back yard, his silhouette indescribably somber. By saying these words, he was supporting both Tie Yongwen and Ye Qing, as he simply did not believe his own children.

The Ding Family members exchanged glances, clearly upset by Elder Master Ding’s words, but they could not protest as these were his commands.

Tie Yongwen remained silent for a while then suddenly stood up and said, ”Tian Yi, call Ye Qing and ask him to meet me at Xingyi Martial Arts School!”

”Yes!” Du Tianyi nodded, turned, and walked out to handle this matter.

Tie Yongwen glanced at the Ding family members and said solemnly, ”Rest assured, I will definitely get to the bottom of this matter. If Ye Qing really intended to frame someone from the Ding family, I will not let him get away with it!”

The Ding family members coldly watched Tie Yongwen, not believing his words and even resenting the great authority Elder Master Ding had given him. Consequently, they did not respond to Tie Yongwen’s words and instead dispersed.

Ding Changsheng stood up, gritted his teeth, glared at Tie Yongwen, and walked out of the courtyard without looking back.

Seeing the Ding family members act this way, Tie Yongwen merely sighed in resignation. Although Elder Master Ding had supported him, it was still hard on him. Having devoted his life loyally to the Ding family, to end up being treated like a household slave was something hard to accept for anyone. Yet, he ultimately said nothing. He stayed with the Ding family to repay Elder Master Ding’s lifesaving grace; everything else was unimportant to him.

”Let’s go to Xingyi Martial Arts School!” Tie Yongwen said, glancing at Tie Weihua, ”Wei Hua, you shouldn’t go.”

”Why?” Tie Weihua was surprised and said, ”Father...”

”No more talking!” Tie Yongwen waved his hand, ”Stay at home, Shusen, you guys come with me.”

After saying this, Tie Yongwen didn’t wait for Tie Weihua to respond and immediately left the room. Tie Weihua looked upset, naturally uncomfortable with his father excluding him. However, he dared not disobey Tie Yongwen’s order and could only bite his lip in frustration, blaming Ye Qing for everything.

”Wei Hua, don’t worry, we will definitely get to the bottom of this,” Gao Shusen, following behind, saw Tie Yongwen walking away, and patted Tie Weihua’s shoulder, ”You’re not lightly injured; take some rest. Master is only looking out for your best interests!”

”What best interests!” Tie Weihua angrily said, ”He’s just showing favoritism towards Ye Qing, deliberately keeping me away, not wanting me there to deal with that Ye. I just don’t understand, am I his son, or is that Ye his son? How can he show such bias towards that Ye and not even trust his own son?”

Gao Shusen said, ”Wei Hua, don’t talk like that. You are Master’s only son, and no matter what, you are always the one he loves the most. There’s just too much mystery within this incident involving Ye Qing, and you tend to be impulsive. Master is just trying to investigate this matter clearly, keeping you from going there to prevent your impulsiveness from escalating the situation. Master has no other intentions!”

Tie Weihua clenched his teeth and said, ”Hmph, the situation is already so clear, what’s there to talk about? You saw the dashcam footage; Shao Yan didn’t step away at all, he had no time to make a call. When entering Xingyi Martial Arts School, it was you who came out to greet us, and throughout that whole process, he was with you and didn’t make a call. That Ye claims he did make a call, what do you think, where would Shao Yan have time to make that call?”
