Urban Martial Saint

The man had thought that Ye Qing had come to make trouble for Ding Shaoyan, unaware that it was now a matter of life and death. He prattled on, persuading Ye Qing to let go of his vendetta and essentially speaking on behalf of Ding Shaoyan.

Ye Qing could not be bothered with him and knocked him out with a palm strike, hiding him in a concealed location. Afterward, Ye Qing silently made his way to the vicinity of the main hall, where laughter could still be heard from a distance, including Ding Shaoyan’s voice among others.

Without a doubt, Ding Shaoyan was here.

Ye Qing crept to the window, peeked through quietly, and saw Ding Shaoyan in the living room, sitting with Gao Shusen, Tie Weihua, and Du Tianyi. They were all chatting and laughing happily, seemingly oblivious to Ding Shaoyan’s misdeeds.

Seeing Ding Shaoyan like that filled Ye Qing with silent fury. Having let him go last time, he hadn’t expected Ding Shaoyan to become even more audacious. This time, the commotion he caused by daring to place a bomb in the orphanage was unthinkable. With hundreds of children at the orphanage, the potential consequences of an explosion were unimaginable!

Ye Qing quietly approached the window corresponding to Ding Shaoyan’s position, crouched down by the wall and took a deep breath, suddenly picked up a brick, and forcefully smashed it against the window.

The glass shattered instantly with a loud snap, startling everyone inside the main hall as they turned their heads to look. Taking advantage of the commotion, Ye Qing leapt into the main hall and before anyone could react, he grabbed Ding Shaoyan, pressing a sharp piece of glass against Ding Shaoyan’s neck, and intoned, ”Make one move, and I’ll slit your throat!”

The entire episode happened in the blink of an eye. By the time Ye Qing finished speaking, everyone finally got a clear look at the newcomer.

”The Ye brothers?” Gao Shusen was taken aback and asked in surprise, ”What’s going on? Mr. Ye, what happened? Let’s talk this through!”

”Right, Ye, what’s the matter?” Du Tianyi also asked with astonishment.

Tie Weihua, being more aggressive, furrowed his brows and intoned gravely, ”Ye Qing, what are you trying to do?”

”My apologies to everyone,” Ye Qing pressed Ding Shaoyan to the ground and said solemnly, ”This is a matter of great importance, I’m afraid I cannot explain it to you all for the time being.”

As he spoke, Ye Qing looked at Ding Shaoyan and said in a deep voice, ”Do you like playing games, Ding Shaoyan? Are you still in the mood to play?”

Ding Shaoyan, completely bewildered, asked in surprise, ”Mr. Ye, what are you talking about? What do you want to do? Grandpa Tie already crippled my martial arts after the last incident; what more do you want?”

”Quit playing dumb, Ding Shaoyan,” Ye Qing said sternly, ”Tell me, where is the bomb?”

”A bomb?” Tie Weihua and the others were taken aback, with Gao Shusen asking in wonder, ”Mr. Ye, what happened? What bomb?”

Ye Qing said gravely, ”Ding Shaoyan has placed a time bomb in my orphanage to play a little game with me!”

”What?” The crowd was shocked and turned their eyes to Ding Shaoyan, with Gao Shusen urgently saying, ”Shao Yan, what exactly did you do?”

”I didn’t do anything!” Ding Shaoyan claimed innocence, saying, ”What bomb? I have no idea what you’re talking about. Ye Qing, what the hell do you want? If you want revenge, just say it; don’t slander me!”

”Stop acting!” Ye Qing exclaimed angrily, ”You just called me, and now you’re telling me you know nothing? What, have you forgotten the game you wanted to play?”

”I... I really don’t know anything!” Ding Shaoyan widened his eyes and replied innocently, ”When did I call you? Ye Qing, dare you show me the phone, show me the evidence?”

”You still want to argue!” Ye Qing took out his phone and casually tossed it to Gao Shusen, saying, ”Senior Brother Gao, take a look at the call logs; he just called me recently!”

”Bullshit, when the hell did I call you!” Ding Shaoyan retorted indignantly, ”I bet my number isn’t on that phone!”

”You obviously wouldn’t use your own number to call me,” Ye Qing retorted gravely, ”But do you think I can’t recognize your voice?”

Ding Shaoyan fumed, ”You’re just talking nonsense, don’t try to frame me!”

Gao Shusen took a look at the phone and said, ”There was indeed a call received; I’ve never seen this number before. However, the timing seems a bit off.”

With that, Gao Shusen handed the phone to Tie Weihua, saying, ”Junior Brother Tie, take a look at the time.”

Tie Weihua reviewed the phone for a moment, his expression changing as he said, ”Mr. Ye, when did he call you?”

”About an hour ago,” Ye Qing replied.

Tie Weihua exploded with anger, ”Nonsense! Shao Yan has been with me for over two hours, without leaving my side for even a moment and without making any calls. Are you still trying to throw false accusations?”

”What?” Ye Qing was also stunned; something about this seemed odd.

If, as Tie Weihua claimed, Ding Shaoyan was with him for two hours and hadn’t left or made any calls, then where did the call come from? Ye Qing remembered clearly, it had been Ding Shaoyan’s voice on the line, he couldn’t have been mistaken. Was Tie Weihua lying?

”Ye brothers, Wei Hua has indeed been with Shao Yan all this time; he shouldn’t have done such a thing,” Gao Shusen said, ”Ye brothers, what exactly happened? Don’t get agitated, let go of Shao Yan first, let’s talk things over clearly. If there’s an issue, we can help you too. Maybe, you really misunderstood Shao Yan!”

”Yeah, Big Brother Ye, let go of Shao Yan first!” Du Tianyi said.

Ye Qing hesitated for a moment but then released his grip; there were indeed many peculiar aspects to this affair. Ye Qing knew he hadn’t misheard; that was definitely Ding Shaoyan’s voice. However, Tie Weihua claimed Ding Shaoyan had been with him the whole time. What exactly was going on?

”Cough cough cough...” Ding Shaoyan, holding his neck and standing to the side, glared at Ye Qing with gritted teeth, and said, ”Ye, are you fucking sick? If you want to frame me, at least come up with a better method. What is this shitty strategy? Now, there are so many people here who can vouch for me. How are you going to handle this? Talking about playing games, about laying bombs, you’re just a fucking rogue, a rogue who slanders people!”

Ye Qing knitted his brows tightly and ignored Ding Shaoyan’s words. Gao Shusen walked up to Ye Qing and patted him on the shoulder, whispering, ”Ye brother, what exactly happened?”

After a moment of silence, Ye Qing sighed, about to speak about the incident just now, when suddenly Tie Weihua’s cellphone began to ring.

Looking at the screen, Tie Weihua handed the phone to Ye Qing and said, ”It’s your call.”

Ye Qing took the phone; it was Da Fei’s number. Seeing this number, Ye Qing’s heart suddenly lurched. He hurriedly answered the call, and immediately Da Fei’s voice came through, tinged with sobs, ”Big Brother, something bad happened, the building at the orphanage... it exploded...”

”What!” Ye Qing’s eyes widened, and his complexion instantly turned icy cold as he gritted his teeth and said, ”Say that again!”

”Big Brother, the building at the orphanage, I don’t know how, but it exploded. Half of it collapsed, and so many people are buried inside...” Da Fei’s voice began to choke with sobs. After all, he had looked after those children there for a time. With such a thing happening now, anyone’s heart wouldn’t be at ease.

Hearing this, Ye Qing abruptly froze, not even realizing that the cellphone had slipped from his fingers.

”Ye brother, what happened?” asked Gao Shusen in a low voice by his side.

Ye Qing didn’t speak but suddenly turned to look at Ding Shaoyan. Ding Shaoyan was standing nearby, and when Ye Qing looked at him, there was a hint of a cold sneer in his eyes, but it quickly faded away, and only Ye Qing saw it.

Catching the trace of a cold sneer in Ding Shaoyan’s eyes, Ye Qing had already concluded that this incident was definitely Ding Shaoyan’s doing.

”Ding Shaoyan, I want you dead!” Ye Qing let out a long cry, his eyes filled with rage as he charged straight at Ding Shaoyan.

”What...what do you want to do?” Ding Shaoyan staggered back in panic, hurriedly saying, ”Ye Qing, don’t fucking go too far. Grandpa Tie already punished me for the last incident, what more do you want?”

”Ye Qing!” Tie Weihua scolded sharply, ”Speak clearly. This is Xingyi Martial Arts School, not a place where you can act recklessly!”

”Ye brother, what happened?” Gao Shusen asked Ye Qing incredulously.

Ye Qing ignored them all, his gaze fixed solely on Ding Shaoyan, and he strode towards him.

Seeing Ye Qing approaching, Ding Shaoyan’s legs turned to jelly. As Ye Qing was about to reach him, Tie Weihua rushed over and stood directly in Ye Qing’s path.

Tie Weihua looked coldly at Ye Qing and said sternly, ”Ye Qing, you...”

He had only spoken three words when Ye Qing raised his foot and kicked straight at him.

Tie Weihua’s expression turned frosty, and he dodged Ye Qing’s kick, counterattacking with a punch in return.

Ye Qing had only Ding Shaoyan in his sights and couldn’t care less about anything else. If Tie Weihua dared to block him, he wouldn’t be polite with Tie Weihua. As he lifted his hand, the Li Style Bajiquan was already unleashed, and they became locked in combat.

”Take Shao Yan away!” Tie Weihua shouted, and declared with a loud voice, ”Ye Qing, you dare to create a scene in my Xingyi Martial Arts School, today I will let you experience the power of my Xingyi Quan!”

With that, Tie Weihua let out a roar, both fists flew out, and he engaged in close combat with Ye Qing.

Tie Weihua, the son of Tie Yongwen and a true inheritor of his father’s skills, was formidable. As he fought with Ye Qing, the struggle became deadlocked, and for a moment, Ye Qing simply couldn’t push him aside.

Meanwhile, several of Tie Weihua’s confidants hurriedly helped Ding Shaoyan, rushing to take him outside, fearing he’d be killed by Ye Qing if they lingered.

Seeing Ding Shaoyan being led away, Ye Qing grew even more frantic. Ignoring Tie Weihua behind him, he turned and chased after them.

”Trying to escape!” Tie Weihua let out a cold shout, lifting his hand to punch at Ye Qing’s back. If Ye Qing didn’t turn back, he would surely be at a disadvantage!
