Urban Martial Saint

After hanging up the phone, Ye Qing still felt a sense of unease. He had initially thought capturing Old Bai would be an easy task, but now it seemed that things were far more complicated than he had imagined. Had Old Bai already gained the Beggar King’s favor?

Under normal circumstances, Ye Qing would definitely have told Black Bear to refrain from acting rashly and to just wait and see for a while. However, since Old Bai’s involvement now pertained to the life or death of his brother, Ye Jun, Ye Qing really couldn’t wait!

Carrying a trace of unease, Ye Qing was somewhat absent-minded at the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena that morning. His mind was restless all morning, feeling as if something was about to happen.

This situation lasted until noon. Unable to set his mind at rest, Ye Qing spoke to Li Lianshan and decided to go to Tianhui City himself.

However, just as Ye Qing left the Southern Suburbs Dogfight Arena and was back in Tian Sheng preparing to get ready, he received a phone call.

”Mr. Ye, do you remember who I am?” a sinister voice came from the other end of the phone, and Ye Qing recognized it immediately—it was Ding Shaoyan’s voice.

”Ding Shaoyan!” Ye Qing furrowed his brows and said in a stern voice, ”What do you want?”

Ding Shaoyan had harbored a deep grudge against Ye Qing in the past, but later, he had been crippled by Tie Yongwen in martial arts, and Elder Master Ding had personally reprimanded him, putting an end to the matter. During this period, Ye Qing hadn’t seen Ding Shaoyan, and with Tie Yongwen around, Ding Shaoyan certainly wouldn’t dare seek revenge. Thus, Ye Qing had almost forgotten about him, but now he was calling again, giving Ye Qing an ominous feeling.

Ding Shaoyan chuckled and said, ”Mr. Ye, it’s been a long time since we last met. Thanks to you, I almost lost my life. However, now that I’m alive, we have plenty of time to ’play’.”

”I don’t have time to play with you!” Ye Qing said sternly, ”If you have something to say, say it quickly. If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up!”

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, and then Ding Shaoyan said, ”Ye Qing, I want to play a game with you.”

”Didn’t you hear me? I said I don’t have time to play with you!” Ye Qing replied sternly.

On the other end, Ding Shaoyan seemed to ignore Ye Qing’s words and continued on his own, ”This game is very fun and I’m sure you will love it. The name of the game is ’Heart-Stopping Two Hours.’ Why is it called that? Because there is a bomb in this game that could explode at any moment.”

Ye Qing frowned. Ding Shaoyan was too insane, now resorting to using bombs. What exactly was he planning? Just as Ye Qing was about to refuse, Ding Shaoyan spoke again with another sentence that Ye Qing could not refuse.

”This bomb is placed inside your orphanage, hehehe…”

After saying this, Ding Shaoyan burst into a creepy, sinister laugh.

Ye Qing’s expression changed drastically as he angrily said, ”Ding, what do you want to do? There are only children in the orphanage. If you dare hurt a single hair on their heads, I swear I will kill you myself!”

”Hehehe…” Ding Shaoyan continued to laugh hysterically over the phone. After a while, he finally stopped and said, ”Ye Qing, you have two hours to locate and dismantle the bomb. But let me warn you, if you dare let anyone escape from the orphanage, or if you call Tie Yongwen for help or come after me yourself, then I will immediately detonate the bomb. Since I’m already a broken man, if I can take down a bunch with me, I’ll die satisfied, hehehe…”

Ye Qing’s expression turned icy as he gritted his teeth, ”Ding Shaoyan, don’t push it too far. I’m warning you to dismantle that bomb right now, and I can pretend this never happened. Otherwise, I will never let you go!”

Ding Shaoyan completely ignored Ye Qing’s words and said, ”Remember, don’t call the police, and don’t let anyone else know about this. This is a game just between us two. You better hurry to the orphanage. I’m giving you two hours. If you can’t find the bomb within that time, then I’m sorry, the bomb will level your orphanage. So you need to pick up the pace. Otherwise, I’m afraid you won’t be in time to watch that beautiful explosion, hehehe…”

Having said that, Ding Shaoyan hung up amid his chilling laughter, giving Ye Qing no chance to respond.

Sitting in the car, Ye Qing was practically frantic. He hadn’t expected Ding Shaoyan to resort to such drastic measures against him. It was one thing to target him, but why involve so many innocent children’s lives? Ding Shaoyan was far too cruel!

Though furious, Ye Qing found himself without options. He sat silently in the room for a while, then suddenly clenched his teeth and called Da Fei in.

”Da Fei, put on my clothes and impersonate me. Head to the orphanage immediately. Pretend to look for something inside, and don’t worry about anything else. Also, don’t let the people there know about this!” Ye Qing said in a stern voice.

”Huh?” Da Fei was stunned, then asked, ”Big brother, what are you doing?”

”Don’t worry about it; just do as I say,” Ye Qing paused, his voice grave. ”Bring one of those big trash bins inside.”

”Oh.” Da Fei ran out and soon pushed a large trash bin inside, saying, ”Big brother, where’s the trash? I’ll clean it up!”

Ye Qing directly threw some clothes to Da Fei and found a waiter’s uniform to change into. He walked to the trash bin, opened the lid, and jumped right in.

”Damn, big brother, what are you doing?” Da Fei was stunned, urgently saying, ”It’s all trash in here, big brother!”

”Stop talking and push me out. Don’t tell anyone about this and act like you know nothing, got it?” Ye Qing commanded in a stern voice.

Seeing Ye Qing’s serious expression, Da Fei knew the matter was grave. Without wasting words, he hurriedly pushed the trash bin to the back alley.

”Put on my clothes and quickly head to the orphanage. Cover your face with your hand when you leave so no one recognizes you aren’t me!” Ye Qing instructed before he immediately jumped out of the bin, scaled a few walls in the back alley, and walked away after navigating several streets.

Dressed in a waiter’s uniform, Ye Qing had also grabbed a cap to wear, pulling it down low over his face. Even if someone saw him head-on, they would hardly recognize him.

Ye Qing walked through several streets and entered a deserted alley to call Zhao Chengshuang and asked him to check where Ding Shaoyan was currently.

After the call, Ye Qing scaled a wall into a small yard where several clothes were drying. He changed into a simpler outfit, left several hundred yuan, and climbed out of the yard.

Ye Qing was well aware that if Ding Shaoyan had planted a bomb at the orphanage, he might not be able to find it within two hours. Moreover, even if Ye Qing could find the bomb within that time frame, there was no guarantee that Ding Shaoyan would keep his promise. If Ding Shaoyan detonated the bomb the moment Ye Qing found it, all would be in vain. Not only would he risk his own life, but the lives of many children would also be doomed, which was the last thing Ye Qing wanted.

Thus, the simplest and most practical approach for Ye Qing now was to locate Ding Shaoyan first. By having Ding Shaoyan’s life in his own hands, he would definitely not dare to detonate the bomb. Therefore, Ye Qing had Da Fei impersonate him and go to the orphanage to attract Ding Shaoyan’s attention, while he himself escaped in a trash bin to evade Ding Shaoyan’s notice and find him first.

Ye Qing had called Zhao Chengshuang to locate Ding Shaoyan without explaining the details. Nevertheless, Zhao Chengshuang did not ask questions. After about half an hour, Zhao Chengshuang reported that Ding Shaoyan was currently inside the Xingyi Martial Arts School. Their officers had spotted Ding Shaoyan’s car there; they pretended to have business inside and saw Ding Shaoyan there.

This news surprised Ye Qing; he had thought that Ding Shaoyan would have gone into hiding by now, secretly watching over the orphanage. Unexpectedly, Ding Shaoyan was still minded to visit the Xingyi Martial Arts School. What exactly was he up to?

Although filled with surprise, Ye Qing immediately headed to the Xingyi Martial Arts School. That voice on the phone earlier had sounded like Ding Shaoyan; Ye Qing needed to apprehend him quickly, or the orphanage would be in danger.

Exiting the alley, Ye Qing hailed a cab and rushed to the Xingyi Martial Arts School; about an hour had passed. He did not enter through the main entrance but climbed over the wall from the neighboring yard into a small garden, which led to the training ground.

It was lunchtime and there weren’t many people at the training ground. Ye Qing walked past the small garden, across the training ground, and spotted a man walking out of the hall from afar.

Ye Qing immediately hid behind a door. As the man approached the entrance of the training ground, Ye Qing suddenly reached out, covered the man’s mouth, and dragged him over to the training ground.

The man was startled, struggling clumsily, but he was no match for Ye Qing and was forcibly pulled into the vicinity of the small garden.

”Don’t talk, it’s me!” Ye Qing whispered urgently.

The man was stunned for a moment, recognizing the familiar voice. He turned his head and his eyes widened in shock. People at the Xingyi Martial Arts School all knew Ye Qing.

Seeing his recognition, Ye Qing slowly released his hand, and the man gasped, saying, ”Damn, it’s you. What are you up to?”

The man was still unaware of what had happened. Ye Qing, seeing he hadn’t shouted, felt slightly relieved and asked in a low voice, ”Is Ding Shaoyan here?”

”Eh, how did you know?” the man looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Young Master Ding did come here, he’s over in the hall, came with Uncle Tie. There are several other masters and uncles there, but the grandmaster isn’t here. Ye Qing, what are you doing sneaking around? Surely you’re not looking for trouble with Young Master Ding again?”

As the man thought about it, his expression changed, saying, ”Ye Qing, I’m not lecturing you, but they’ve already crippled Young Master Ding’s martial arts as a concession to you; what more do you want?”
