Urban Martial Saint

Chen Laojiu turned his head fiercely, glaring at the man, and bellowed, ”If you fucking dare to touch my family, I swear I won’t rest even as a ghost!”

”What a fucking joke. Well, go ahead and become a ghost for me to see!” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate said curtly, ”Stop the fucking nonsense, Mr. Ye, this is your territory. Do you want to do it yourself, or should we take matters into our own hands?”

Ye Qing ignored him and turned to Pi Junchao with a faint smile, ”Big Brother Pi, are you certain an eye for an eye?”

”It’s not up to him to decide!” A man shouted as he stood up, bellowing, ”Pi Junchao is not the Gang Leader of the Fierce Tiger Gang. It’s not his turn to control our life and death.”

”That’s right, it’s not his turn to make the decision!” A few more people joined in the uproar. These were the ones who had good relations with Chen Laojiu and whose territories had been mostly taken by the Fu Bang. Now, they were ready to go all in.

”Yo, I thought Little Pi had taken over the Fierce Tiger Gang. It turns out he still doesn’t carry any weight within the gang!” Shangguan Qing said sarcastically, ”Mr. Ye, I don’t think there’s any point in discussing tonight’s matter. The Fierce Tiger Gang doesn’t even have someone decisive to talk to, so what’s the use? If I may suggest, let them choose someone who can actually make a decision before considering whether to continue the discussion or not!”

Shangguan Qing’s words were a direct provocation to Pi Junchao. Pi, trembling with anger and looking around at the people by his side, shouted furiously, ”You... Are you trying to rebel? Get out, all of you!”

”Pi Junchao, stop fucking pointing fingers at me, I’m not afraid of you!” a man yelled back, ”If you dare, kill us all!”

”What can you do with just a crowd at your back? You can’t even take care of your own brothers, what makes you think you can lead?”

The crowd started shouting again. Pi Junchao’s face was a mix of purple and red with shame. He was quite embarrassed by the situation. But now, he really couldn’t control it anymore. If these people were truly out to fight him, he genuinely didn’t have any solutions left.

”Fine, remember what you’ve all said!” Pi Junchao gritted his teeth and raged, ”From today on, I, Pi Junchao, am no longer dealing with your matters. After you go back, take your men and get the hell out of my places. If you get bullied outside, don’t say you’re from the Fierce Tiger Gang, because the Fierce Tiger Gang doesn’t include the likes of you!”

A man retorted angrily, ”Pi, rest assured, even if we die out there, it’s got nothing to do with you. And whether we say we’re from the Fierce Tiger Gang or not is not for you to dictate, as you’re simply not the Gang Leader!”

Pi Junchao’s expression turned icy. He ignored the man, turning instead to Ye Qing and said solemnly, ”Mr. Ye, you’ve heard them. These people are not my subordinates. How to deal with them has nothing to do with me. You decide!”

Yue Gaoyang had been killed by Chen Laojiu, and if the Fierce Tiger Gang got involved, it would be troublesome for Pi Junchao as well. With such a major incident, the Fu Bang would definitely eradicate them. Pi’s original plan was to kill Chen Laojiu to appease the situation. However, with such opposition from his subordinates, he took the opportunity to drive them out of the Fierce Tiger Gang. If Li Wenyuan really sought revenge later on, he would probably target these people and definitely not reach him. This was Pi Junchao’s way of shifting the blame.

”We were never your subordinates, don’t flatter yourself!” The men who had stepped out all moved beside Chen Laojiu and said to Ye Qing, ”Mr. Ye, we might not be capable of much, but standing here, we should at least have a right to speak, right?”

”What fucking right to speak—killing someone demands retribution, and paying debts is a natural law!” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate glared and said, ”Bastard, are you ready to die with Chen Laojiu?”

A man glared back and said, ”Cut the crap. Mr. Ye hasn’t spoken yet, it’s not your turn to call the shots!”

”You fucking dare to talk to me like that!” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate, now furious, led a few men intent on surrounding and attacking Chen Laojiu and the others.

Chen Laojiu’s group was not about to show weakness. They had lost their turf, and their friends and family had been injured. Their mood was much like Chen Laojiu’s. They had nothing to lose now. Seeing Yue Gaoyang’s men coming over, they grabbed chairs and wine bottles, ready to fight it out with Yue Gaoyang’s men.

Shangguan Qing watched the situation with a cold smile. He didn’t care much for Yue Gaoyang’s death but found the disarray within the Fierce Tiger Gang somewhat interesting.

Pi Junchao frowned deeply. By driving so many people out of the Fierce Tiger Gang, he was distancing himself from the incident. But he had also left his brothers behind, and the loyalty of his remaining men was likely to waver in the future. This time, he was the one who had suffered the most, but he had no other choice. Otherwise, he would have to face the Fu Bang’s relentless vengeance for Yue Gaoyang’s death!

Just as Yue Gaoyang’s men and Chen Laojiu’s group were about to clash, a wine bottle suddenly smashed between the two groups with a loud ’pop’, startling everyone present.

The crowd turned to find the source of the bottle, only to see Ye Qing had stood up and was walking over with deliberate slowness.

Ye Qing approached Yue Gaoyang’s man and looked at him, ”What is this place?”

Yue Gaoyang’s man furrowed his brows and said, ”Mr. Ye, what exactly are you trying to do? The Deputy Chief’s death must be accounted for; we will not let this go!”

”What place is this!” Ye Qing ignored him and asked again.

Yue Gaoyang’s man gave Ye Qing a hard look and replied in a deep voice, ”Ye Qing, what the fuck are you trying to say?”

”What is this place!” Ye Qing asked for the third time.

”Tian Sheng, what’s wrong?” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate glared and retorted.

”You know it’s Tian Sheng!” Ye Qing raised his eyes, slapped him across the face, then kicked him out and said, ”This is my territory, I haven’t even spoken yet, who gave you the right to cause trouble here!”

The others from the Fu Bang looked at each other, then turned to Ye Qing in anger and said, ”Ye, you damn dare to hit our people...”

Before the words were finished, Mad Dog let out a howl and dozens of men rushed up, immediately surrounding the twenty or so people from the Fu Bang in the middle.

The spirits of the Fu Bang members visibly deflated as they looked at the dozens of people around them. The short leader swallowed hard and said, ”Ye Qing, you... you called us here for negotiations, now that our Deputy Chief is dead here, don’t you think you owe us an explanation?”

”When did I say I wouldn’t give you an explanation?” Ye Qing turned to Chen Laojiu and asked, ”Old Jiu, how many people did you bring?”

”Three,” Chen Laojiu honestly replied.

”Where are these people now?”

”Outside, in a private room?”

”Why didn’t you let them in?”

”Ah?” Chen Laojiu was taken aback for a moment, glanced at Pi Junchao, and said, ”Mr. Ye, didn’t you say only ten people could come in? The number of people we’ve brought in was already enough!”

”Very good!” Ye Qing nodded with a faint smile, then turned to address the Fu Bang members, ”How many of you came in?”

The short member from the Fu Bang looked at his companions and said, ”Over twenty.”

”How many did I say you could bring in?” Ye Qing asked.

The short one hesitated, then said, ”Ye Qing, we in the Fu Bang have many more people than the Fierce Tiger Gang, so it makes sense that we should bring more in proportionally. Besides, our Deputy Chief is the one who’s dead now, does it make sense for you to quibble over these details? What you should be thinking about now, Ye Qing, is how to resolve this situation. If you can’t handle it, I’m going to call our Gang Leader right now, and we in the Fu Bang will take care of this ourselves. How does that sound?”

”Go ahead, call Li Wenyuan right now!” Ye Qing sat down at the table and said, ”But don’t blame me for not warning you, if Li Wenyuan’s men dare to set foot into Tian Sheng, I, Ye Qing, will personally march to his doorstep and we’ll see who is tougher!”

The short one immediately lost his bluster. Everyone knew about the last time Ye Qing had stormed into the Lin family’s place, causing a major commotion in Shenchuan City. Moreover, with the backing of the Tie Yongwen Tea House and the Poisonous Mantis Fire Butterfly, if Ye Qing really decided to go all out against the Fu Bang, it would definitely be a headache for Li Wenyuan. The short one absolutely did not dare to escalate the matter, otherwise, it could indeed become impossible to settle!

”What, you don’t dare to call now?” Ye Qing sneered coldly, ”If you’re afraid to call, then let’s continue our discussion!”

Ye Qing turned to Chen Laojiu and asked, ”Let me ask you again, between you two, who hit whom first?”

Chen Laojiu was about to speak when Da Fei immediately said, ”Eldest Brother, I saw it very clearly, it was Yue Gaoyang who came at Brother Jiu first!”

Chen Laojiu was stunned for a moment, turned to look at Da Fei, who quietly gestured to him reassuringly. Chen Laojiu scratched his head but did not speak further. Although it was he who had attacked first, at that time, there were only the three of them in the restroom. Da Fei saying this meant he was deliberately trying to absolve him of blame, and naturally, Chen Laojiu wouldn’t argue against himself.

”Is that so?” Ye Qing looked at Chen Laojiu and said, ”Da Fei, don’t speak, let him say it himself!”

”Indeed, it was Yue Gaoyang who hit me first!” Chen Laojiu nodded and said, ”I was a bit drunk at the time, and Yue Gaoyang saw that I wasn’t resisting much, so he came up and kicked me a few times. I couldn’t take the humiliation and started fighting back.”

”Very well!” Ye Qing nodded slowly, then glanced at the dagger lying next to him and asked, ”And whose dagger is this?”

”It belonged to Yue Gaoyang,” Chen Laojiu said. ”When Da Fei came over to break up the fight, Yue Gaoyang ignored him even though we were both drunk, and he pulled out a dagger wanting to kill me. I managed to grab the dagger from him, and he accidentally ran into the blade!”

”Fuck your mother, Chen Laojiu, can’t you draft your lies before spouting them?” the short member suddenly yelled in anger, ”Why don’t you say my brother tripped over and stabbed himself to death with the dagger? ’Accidentally ran into the blade,’ is that even human speech?”
