Urban Martial Saint

”Second Senior Brother, what do you mean by that?” Tie Weihua frowned deeply and spoke with a heavy tone, ”Are you saying that I’ve wronged this man surnamed Ye?”

”That’s not what I mean. I just feel that, with such a serious matter, we should thoroughly investigate before making a decision!” Xiang Yunpeng paused before continuing, ”Tian Yi has always been our Junior Brother; with our Master and eldest Senior Brother gone, we cannot afford to turn on each other now. Old Jiu, you take Tian Yi to the hospital first; he’s badly injured!”

The man supporting Du Tianyi immediately hoisted Du Tianyi onto his back and turned to leave. However, Tie Weihua was furious and shouted, ”No one leaves!”

”Wei Hua, let’s focus on resolving the matter at hand. Don’t act rashly!” Xiang Yunpeng gestured with his hand, signaling the man to take Du Tianyi away.

The man, obviously more heedful of Xiang Yunpeng’s words, quickly took Du Tianyi away. Tie Weihua, on the other side, was furiously stomping with rage yet was powerless, as his prestige among these people was not very high.

”Second Senior Brother, I don’t know what you want to solve. But for me, the revenge for my father and for our eldest Senior Brother is a must!” Tie Weihua looked resentfully at Xiang Yunpeng and said solemnly, ”You say we need to investigate thoroughly, fine, let’s investigate first. However, this man surnamed Ye is the prime suspect. We must capture him first. Otherwise, by the time our investigation is clear, Ye might have already gone who knows where, and where would we go to find him for revenge?”

”Wei Hua is right!” the third Senior Brother nodded and said, ”Second Senior Brother, no matter what, we still need to capture Ye Qing first. How to deal with this issue is a matter for later; for now, we need to control Ye Qing and prevent him from escaping!”

Xiang Yunpeng’s brow furrowed and he remained silent for a while before finally nodding his head. Although he had some trust in Ye Qing in his heart, what Tie Weihua said was also true. If Ye Qing was a suspect, he had to be detained to prevent escape!

Seeing Xiang Yunpeng nod, the third Senior Brother immediately gathered a group of people and charged out to pursue Ye Qing.

Not long after these people left, two more groups arrived. One group was the police, and the other belonged to the Ding Family, with the Elder Master personally rushing over.

With the help of the Ding Family members, Elder Master Ding walked into the main hall. Upon seeing Tie Yongwen’s body, Elder Master Ding’s body visibly shook, and he fainted straight away.

The people nearby immediately panicked; they pinched his acupoints and fed him medicine. After some struggle, Elder Master Ding slowly came to. He stared at Tie Yongwen’s body without moving for a long while, only the tears in his eyes continuously streamed out, crying in silence.

Tie Yongwen had been his bodyguard for decades, having faced life and death together for so many years, he was already seen as a member of the Ding Family and was recognized as a brother. Now, this old brother who had saved him countless times, had died right in front of him—a tremendous blow for an old man indeed!

Looking at Tie Yongwen’s body, a hint of malicious pleasure flashed in Ding Changsheng’s eyes. Although the other members of the Ding Family were continuously sighing, their expressions did not show too much sorrow.

Ding Changyuan softly consoled Elder Master Ding, ”Father, the dead cannot be brought back to life, please don’t be too heartbroken!”

Elder Master Ding didn’t speak, remaining standing there in the same pose. After a long while, his body shook again and he fell backward.

Ding Changyuan hastily supported him, anxiously asking, ”Father, father, what’s wrong with you? What’s wrong?”

Elder Master Ding’s eyes were closed. Ding Changyuan supported Elder Master Ding while Ding Xiangyun hurriedly came to pinch the Elder Master’s acupoint, hoping to awaken him. However, no matter how the people called out to him, Elder Master Ding’s eyes remained closed.

”Brother~~~” Ding Xiangyun, who had been pinching Elder Master Ding’s acupoint, suddenly looked up at Ding Changyuan. Her trembling voice contained a sobbing tone, and her eyes filled with tears. She stared blankly at Ding Changyuan as tears surged out, and after a long time she managed to squeeze out a few words as if from her throat, ”Father... father seems to have stopped breathing...”

”What?!” Everyone from the Ding Family shouted in alarm simultaneously, with Ding Changyuan being the first to place a hand under the Elder Master’s nose to check. After a while, his complexion became ashen, his expression not much different from Ding Xiangyun’s.

Seeing Ding Changyuan’s expression, the Ding Family was even more panicked. The Elder Master’s children hurried over to check, but each found the same result—Elder Master Ding had truly stopped breathing!

Everyone was stunned, and it took a long time before Ding Changyuan finally roared, ”Ambulance! Call an ambulance quickly!”

”Yes, an ambulance, hurry up, call an ambulance quickly!”

The Ding Family members immediately sprang into action in a panic. Ding Changsheng was the first to take out his phone and dial a number, shouting, ”Xingyi Martial Arts School, you have five minutes. If the car isn’t here, I’ll fucking demolish your hospital. What did you say? Have the guts to say that again? I’m fucking from the Ding Family, do you even know the Ding Family!”

”Changsheng, stop yelling!” Ding Changyuan got up and snatched the phone from Ding Changsheng’s hand, saying sternly, ”Xingyi Martial Arts School, send a car over quickly, my father is about to die!”

”What kind of attitude is this, how can you just curse at people like that? With your approach, we can’t speed things up!” A woman’s sharp voice responded from the other end of the line, her heart still raging from Ding Changsheng’s previous shouting.

Ding Changyuan clenched his teeth and said sternly, ”Listen carefully, I am Ding Changyuan from the Ding Family. I don’t want to waste words with you. If your ambulance comes late and delays my father’s condition, I, Ding Changyuan, swear by it, I will flatten your entire hospital!”

The woman had never heard of the Ding Family or Ding Changyuan and immediately got angry upon his words. She retorted, ”Hey, you’ve got quite the temper. Flatten the hospital? How impressive. Do you even know what hospital this is? This is the municipal hospital, a public hospital. You want to flatten our hospital? Come on, just try it. I really want to see whether you, this so-called Ding Changyuan, are powerful, or if our hospital is!”

”Big brother, don’t waste your words!” Ding Xiangyun ran over and said, ”I’ve already called the hospital director, and he’s coming over personally with the ambulance.”

Ding Xiangyun took the phone from Ding Changyuan’s hand as she spoke and shouted into the receiver, ”I don’t care who you are, right now, pack your things and get the hell out of the municipal hospital!”

”Hey, you fucking bitch, you’re looking for death…” The voice on the phone began.

Ding Xiangyun hung up the phone directly, not listening to the woman’s angry cursing. Over here, the Ding Family members and those from Xingyi Martial Arts School were in total chaos. The matter of Tie Yongwen’s murder was already big enough, but now Elder Master Ding had also died, and that really set everything into turmoil.

For the Ding Family members, a living Elder Master Ding was their greatest pillar. As long as Elder Master Ding was alive for one more day, his network of connections, his connections, and his seniority could ensure that the Ding Family remained the number one family in Shenchuan City. But once Elder Master Ding was gone, the rest of the Ding Family could no longer guarantee their status in the city today.

Moreover, there was Tie Yongwen before this. When both Elder Master Ding and Tie Yongwen were alive, even within the scope of the Eastern Province, the Ding Family was untouchable and feared by all. Now, with both pillars gone, the Ding Family was finished.

The Ding Family members were accustomed to feeling superior, and now suddenly, having lost their two greatest pillars, was like falling from the sky to the ground. They were all unwilling to accept this outcome, so they would fight with their lives to save Elder Master Ding, everyone’s feelings were equally desperate, even Ding Shaoyan was the same, because he knew exactly how valuable Elder Master Ding was.

However, no matter how frantically they busied themselves, the result remained the same. The ambulance arrived in the shortest time possible, but their examination on the scene revealed that Elder Master Ding had already shown no signs of life. Despite the Ding Family members’ insistent demands, they took him back to the hospital for emergency treatment, but the outcome was likely not to change much. A person who was already dead, could he possibly come back to life?

With Elder Master Ding’s death, the scene immediately became chaotic. Taking advantage of the commotion, Ding Shaoyan quietly left Xingyi Martial Arts School, circled around a few alleys to a deserted place before he took out his phone and dialed a number.

”Hello!” The voice of a woman came through the phone, it was Lin Yaqing.

”Lin Yaqing, what the hell is happening with that Ye Qing now!” Ding Shaoyan asked through gritted teeth.

”Our investigation suggests he might have gone to the teahouse area,” Lin Yaqing replied. ”Don’t worry, the people from Xingyi Martial Arts School should have already gone after him. He won’t be able to run for long. Didn’t I tell you not to make this call? If you were discovered, it’d all be for nothing!”

”I can’t care about that anymore!” Ding Shaoyan said sternly, ”I’m telling you, Ye Qing must die, he absolutely must die!”

”He’s definitely going to die. Haven’t we discussed this in advance?” Lin Yaqing replied, ”Rest assured, even if the people from Xingyi Martial Arts School can’t kill him, I have other plans in place. Hey, you seem very agitated, what happened?”

”I... my grandfather is gone…” Ding Shaoyan’s voice trembled as he spoke. To be honest, he had never imagined things would escalate to this point.

Ding Shaoyan had conspired with these people to kill Tie Yongwen because Tie Yongwen had destroyed his martial arts. Although he hated Tie Yongwen deeply, the person he wanted to kill the most was still Ye Qing. But he had never expected that Ye Qing wouldn’t be killed and instead Elder Master Ding couldn’t bear the shock and passed away. With Elder Master Ding’s death, Ding Shaoyan lost his status in Shenchuan City, which was the very last thing he wanted to see!

”Elder Master Ding is gone?” Lin Yaqing’s voice held surprise, but also a hint of a sneer. If Elder Master Ding was gone, then the Ding Family was finished, which was a sight she was willing to see.

”If it wasn’t for this Ye Qing, how could things have come to this? My grandfather’s death, it’s all because of Ye Qing!” Ding Shaoyan gnashed his teeth and raged, ”No matter what, Ye Qing has to be caught. I want to personally carve him into pieces!”
