Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Ye Qing coming fiercely, Du Tian Yi sidestepped, avoiding a direct confrontation with him. However, he was constantly entangling Ye Qing, preventing Ye Qing from escaping.

On the other side, the tall one didn’t dare to hesitate and hurried over to carry Ding Shaoyan on his back, running out of the main hall. Ye Qing tried several times to get past Du Tianyi to chase him, but given that Du Tianyi was even stronger than Tie Weihua, it was basically impossible for Ye Qing to evade him. Moreover, Du Tianyi also knew the violent power of Ye Qing’s Li Style Bajiquan, and he didn’t engage him head-on, merely entangling him to prevent his escape, which was not difficult.

Thus, Ye Qing was detained by Du Tianyi, allowing the tall one time to take Ding Shaoyan away. As he listened to the sound of vehicles driving away outside, Ye Qing nearly collapsed. He knew that Ding Shaoyan had slipped away right under his nose.

Seeing Ding Shaoyan leave safely, Du Tianyi took a long breath and, while dodging Ye Qing, asked, ”Brother Ye, Ding Shaoyan has already left. Do we still need to fight?”

Ye Qing suddenly froze on the spot. After a while, he looked up to the sky and let out a great roar, his face filled with grief and anger, his eyes bloodshot. He was truly heartbroken. That building with over three hundred children had been bombed. How many people would be hurt? And what about Fang Tingyun, Huo Pingping, Mo Xiang, Wu Yian, and all the others? Weren’t they all working in that building? Hadn’t they all met with tragedy? Ye Qing truly hated himself for not having killed Ding Shaoyan outright, leaving such a scourge that had now caused such a disaster!

Seeing Ye Qing’s reaction, everyone inside the room was extremely surprised. Gao Shusen, covering his chest, stood up and took several deep breaths, trying hard to suppress the surging blood qi, and said, ”Ye brothers, what exactly happened? Tell us, and if there is anything we can help with, we will definitely help you!”

”Help me?” Ye Qing turned and glared at Gao Shusen, saying, ”If you want to help me, hand Ding Shaoyan over to me, so I can personally flay him alive!”

Hearing the icy hatred in Ye Qing’s tone, Gao Shusen was even more surprised and said, ”Ye brothers, what exactly did Shao Yan do? Wei Hua already said that he shouldn’t be aware of the bomb. Besides, he didn’t make any phone calls. Could you be mistaken? Could someone be playing a cruel joke on you?”

”I was absolutely not mistaken. The voice on the phone was definitely his!” Ye Qing said through gritted teeth, ”And it’s definitely no joke, because, the bomb, it has already exploded, right on top of my orphanage’s school building!”

”What?” Everyone present exclaimed in alarm, as they all knew what the explosion of a bomb meant.

”The bomb has exploded?” Gao Shusen’s eyes widened in shock.

Du Tianyi’s face also changed dramatically, and he asked urgently, ”How is the situation over there? How many people are hurt? How are the children?”

”What do you think?” Ye Qing bit his lower lip so hard it bled, struggling to keep from breaking down in tears. He looked helplessly at the ceiling and said, ”Right now, it’s class time, and there were over three hundred students in that building, nearly half of whom are poor orphans. The whole building has collapsed. Many are buried underneath. What do you think the situation looks like? How many people do you think are dead?”

The shock among those present deepened, and Gao Shusen, unable to suppress the surging blood in his chest, vomited blood and said tremulously, ”How could this happen? How could this happen?”

Du Tianyi’s brows furrowed deeply, and he clenched his fists tightly, saying in a heavy tone, ”To target these children, does he have no humanity?”

”Tianyi, what do you mean by that?” Tie Weihua stood up and said sternly, ”Shao Yan has been by my side all along, and I can guarantee he didn’t make that call. Ye Qing, don’t pin everything on Shao Yan; he’s been with me without taking a step away. If you doubt him, you’re doubting me. Are you suggesting I’m colluding with Shao Yan to deceive you?”

”How is that impossible?” Ye Qing retorted fiercely, his voice heavy, ”The voice on the phone was Ding Shaoyan’s; I wasn’t mistaken. Tie Weihua, you can’t protect him. With so many lives lost, he couldn’t atone for it even if he died a thousand, ten thousand times over!”

”How dare you speak to me like that!” Tie Weihua bellowed with fury in his eyes, ”Are you saying that I’m also involved in the orphanage explosion? Mr. Ye, I warn you, stop slandering people without proof!”

”Tie Weihua, I also warn you!” Ye Qing roared angrily, ”If I find out you have anything to do with this, I will make sure to kill you too!”

Ye Qing’s words were extremely domineering, causing everyone in the room to change their expressions. Tie Weihua was the only son of Tie Yongwen, and Ye Qing dared to speak to him like this, which was truly audacious. After all, in the whole of Shenchuan City, there was no one who dared show disrespect to Tie Yongwen.

However, upon reflection, considering the magnitude of the incident at the orphanage, it was understandable that no one could remain calm.

After several coughs, Gao Shusen’s chest was stained red with the blood he coughed up. He tried hard to suppress his churning blood qi and said, ”Ye brothers, without definitive evidence, we cannot arbitrarily convict others. We should take a long-term view on this matter. If it indeed was Shao Yan, rest assured, we will definitely not show favoritism.”

Tie Weihua’s face was filled with extreme coldness as he stared intently at Ye Qing and said, ”You want to kill me? Ye, do you really want to kill me?”

”Why wouldn’t I dare?” Ye Qing retorted in anger.

”Yeah, what kind of courage do you, Ye Qing, lack, what wouldn’t you dare to do!” Tie Weihua sneered sarcastically, ”Ye Qing, have you forgotten how you have survived up to now in Shenchuan City? If it hadn’t been for my father, you would have died a thousand times over by now. Now that you’ve grown some wings, you think you’re capable enough and don’t need my father anymore, and you dare to talk to me like this? Ye Qing, you’re truly an ungrateful, treacherous wolf!”

Ye Qing replied coldly, ”I will never forget Uncle Tie’s kindness to me. However, there is a clear distinction to be made. If there’s anything for which I, Ye Qing, owe an apology to Uncle Tie, I’m willing to lay down my life to repay him. But, as for those children, I must seek retribution and an explanation!”

”If you want to repay, then hand over your life now!” Tie Weihua said sternly, ”Ye Qing, by attacking the Xingyi Martial Arts School and injuring so many of my father’s disciples, you have shown great disrespect to him. If it’s repayment you want, do you have enough lives to pay with?”

”Whether I have shown disrespect or not is not for you to comment on here!” Ye Qing said coldly, ”Once this matter is settled, Mr. Ye will personally come to offer apologies. But for now, no one can stop me from killing Ding Shaoyan!”

After finishing his words, Ye Qing turned and ran outside. The explosion had already taken place; no matter what, he was determined to kill Ding Shaoyan to avenge the fallen.

”Ye brothers! Ye brothers! Don’t be rash! Where are you going?” Gao Shusen shouted anxiously from behind, but it was utterly impossible to stop Ye Qing now. He could understand Ye Qing’s current state of mind; after all, so many lives were lost—who could remain calm? Moreover, most of those children were adopted by Ye Qing; they were his primary concern. With an unknown number of them dead from the explosion, how could Ye Qing not be driven to fury?

Gao Shusen was seriously injured and had no strength to chase after him, so he could only turn to Du Tianyi, ”Junior Brother, follow him and don’t let him make a grave mistake!”

”Stop him!” Tie Weihua commanded in a deep voice, ”If he dares to attack Shao Yan, kill him immediately! Do you understand?”

Without a word, Du Tianyi immediately ran out, following closely behind Ye Qing.

Inside the house, as Gao Shusen watched Du Tianyi chase after Ye Qing, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to look at Tie Weihua and asked, ”Weihua, is what you said earlier true?”

”What did I say?” Tie Weihua asked, puzzled.

Gao Shusen said, ”The matter with Shao Yan—you said Shao Yan has been by your side the whole time and that he hasn’t made any calls, is that true?”

Tie Weihua’s expression changed, and he said in a heavy tone, ”Elder Brother, are you doubting me?”

”No,” Gao Shusen hastily shook his head, saying, ”I’m just wondering if Shao Yan left at any point, even for a moment. That’d be enough time to make a call. Think carefully, was there any such moment?”

”No!” Tie Weihua exclaimed loudly, ”We traveled together from home in the same car, he was by my side the entire time, we didn’t stop or leave the car. After arriving here, we went straight into the main hall, and all of us were together. He had no time to make calls. Elder Brother, if you don’t believe me, you can ask my driver; he knows everything that happened along the way!”

Gao Shusen slowly nodded, frowning as he said, ”In that case, who exactly made that call to Ye Qing? Since he’s certain it was Shao Yan’s voice, what exactly is the problem?”

”It’s definitely Ye Qing framing Shao Yan!” Tie Weihua declared, ”Isn’t it obvious? Since Shao Yan has been with me, I can vouch for him; he most certainly didn’t make that call. Elder Brother, I swear, if this was really done by Shao Yan, then may I, Tie Weihua, die a terrible death, and may the Tie Family never know peace!”

Seeing Tie Weihua’s flushed face and thick neck, Gao Shusen knew he was not lying. However, he was still astonished; what on earth happened in this case?

”Elder Brother, stop thinking about it. I’m telling you, this is all Ye Qing deliberately causing trouble, shifting all the blame onto Shao Yan,” Tie Weihua said angrily, ”You saw how arrogant Ye Qing was, causing a commotion at our Xingyi Martial Arts School, showing no respect for the Xingyi School. He injured so many of us; I think, in his eyes, he probably doesn’t even regard my father anymore. Such a person is like an ungrateful beast who abandons you after crossing the river. There’s no point talking to him; it’s best to catch him, break his arms and legs, and throw him out of Shenchuan City!”

Gao Shusen’s forehead creased slightly, somewhat repulsed by Tie Weihua’s words. Nonetheless, he didn’t say anything, only offering some low-voiced consolation, ”Weihua, don’t be so agitated. Ye Qing’s orphanage really did experience an explosion, and who knows how many people died. It’s understandable that he’s so upset; you should try to see it from his perspective as well.”
