Urban Martial Saint

Amid the utterly chaotic scene, a table flew from nowhere and crashed into the crowd.

As the table came crashing down, everyone hurriedly moved aside to dodge; it landed directly on Ye Qing. All were momentarily stunned, then turned around to see who had thrown it.

Just then, a cold voice rang out, ”I’m coming!”

Following that voice, Du Tianyi rushed in, ran to the table, lifted it with one hand, grabbed Ye Qing by his clothes, and lifted him up.

”Tian Yi, your timing is perfect!” Tie Weihua shouted loudly, ”It was him who killed my father and Senior Tie. Tian Yi, kill him by your own hand to take revenge for my father and Senior Tie!”

Without a word, Du Tianyi pulled Ye Qing to the door and pushed him out.

A cold wind blew past, and Ye Qing instantly sobered up a lot. Turning his head, he saw Du Tianyi turn around, close the door, and lock everyone else inside the main hall.

Ye Qing was startled for a moment, then realized that Du Tianyi was rescuing him!

Inside the house, Tie Weihua, shocked by Du Tianyi’s actions, regained his senses and stood up anxiously, ”Du Tianyi, what are you doing? Why are you letting him go?”

Saying this, Tie Weihua gestured frantically, ”Quick, bring Ye Qing back to me, don’t let him escape!”

The disciples of the Xingyi School immediately rushed forward, but Du Tianyi crossed his arms and blocked the doorway, declaring sternly, ”No one is allowed out!”

”Du Tianyi, what are you doing!” Tie Weihua roared, ”Ye Qing is the murderer who killed my father and Senior Tie, and you just let him go, what exactly do you mean by this?”

”Hmph, maybe he’s collaborating with that Ye Qing too!” Ding Shaoyan said sarcastically from the side.

Tie Weihua’s expression turned cold, and he stared fixedly at Du Tianyi, his voice grave, ”Du Tianyi, are you really in league with Ye Qing?”

”Senior Tie, I’ve only known Ye Qing for a few days, how could I be in league with him?” Du Tianyi said gravely, ”I just believe that Ye Qing absolutely did not commit this act. I trust him!”

”What do you mean by that?” Tie Weihua shouted angrily, ”You trust him, means you doubt my words? You trust Ye Qing, my father trusted Ye Qing, Senior Tie trusted Ye Qing. And what happened? Both my father and Senior Tie are dead, killed by Ye Qing’s gun. And now you still say you trust Ye Qing? Let me tell you, by protecting Ye Qing, you are obstructing our quest for vengeance for my father and Senior Tie, and you are a great enemy of our Xingyi School!”

”So what!” Du Tianyi said somberly, ”If the Master and Senior Tie are watching from above, they would surely want me to find out the truth, not let an innocent man be beaten to death by you. Before the true nature of this affair is clarified, we have no right to kill anyone!”

”I don’t care about any rights or no rights, I know that Ye Qing is the murderer!” Tie Weihua shouted loudly, ”Du Tianyi, step aside now, this matter doesn’t concern you. Otherwise, you too are an enemy of our Xingyi School!”

Everyone involuntarily looked back at Tie Weihua; Du Tianyi had been their senior for a very long time, and they all had good relationships with each other. Tie Weihua saying such words indicated he was extremely angry.

Without hesitation, Du Tianyi shook his head and said, ”Senior Tie, if you do not want to make another grave mistake, letting the real culprit escape unpunished, then stop being impulsive. In this case, there are too many suspicious points that need clarification before we can accuse anyone!”

As Du Tianyi spoke, he glanced at Ding Shaoyan and continued in a severe tone, ”Ye Qing’s orphanage was bombed, the Master and Senior Tie were killed. There must be some connection between these two events. I believe that Ye Qing is also a victim, he is our ally, not our enemy!”

These words made many inside the room somewhat enlightened. However, Tie Weihua’s brow was tightly furrowed as he asked firmly, ”I’m only asking you, will you step aside or not?”

”Impossible!” Du Tianyi shook his head resolutely.

”Good!” Tie Weihua gritted his teeth and shouted furiously, ”Du Tianyi, I now, as the Sect Leader of the Xingyi School, tell you that you are no longer a person of the Xingyi School. From now on, you have no connection whatsoever with our Xingyi School!”

Tie Yongwen was the Sect Leader of the Xingyi School, and all these disciples had been personally trained by him; it can be said that the Southern Xingyi School is the Tie Family’s sect. With Tie Yongwen dead and Tie Weihua assuming the role of Sect Leader without any objections, his statement was essentially a command!

With a furrowed brow, Du Tianyi stared at Tie Weihua for a while, then slowly shook his head and said, ”Senior Tie, if the Master could see this from heaven, he would certainly be ashamed of you!”

Furious beyond measure, Tie Weihua responded, ”Du Tianyi, what did you say? You are no longer a person of the Xingyi School, how dare you dictate to me? I warn you, either leave immediately or we’ll force you out!”

Standing at the doorway, Du Tianyi declared coldly, ”No one is going anywhere in the next five minutes!”

Du Tianyi was clearly trying to buy Ye Qing some time. Tie Weihua was extremely irate and yelled, ”Break out, kill anyone who blocks your way!”

The crowd hesitated once again, looking at Du Tianyi and then at Tie Weihua, feeling somewhat conflicted.

”What are you still thinking about!” Tie Weihua roared furiously, ”Don’t you want to avenge my father? Don’t you want to avenge our senior brother?”

These words immediately provoked the crowd. Several older men approached Du Tianyi and said sternly, ”Junior Brother, you should step aside. Today, no matter what, we can’t let Ye Qing escape. Even if he didn’t do it, he must stay here until we have clarified the truth of the matter!”

Du Tianyi slowly shook his head and said, ”If Ye Qing stays here, he will certainly not survive the day. There’s no need to say more, if you want to pursue him, step over my corpse!”

The crowd frowned, and Tie Weihua slammed the table in fury, ”Du Tianyi, you ungrateful beast. How did my father treat you, and now, while his body is still warm, you actually fight his killer’s battle against our Xingyi School members. Good! Good! Good! I want to see just how ungrateful you can be.”

As he spoke, Tie Weihua rushed forward and stretched out his hand to push the door.

Du Tianyi grabbed Tie Weihua’s hand and pushed him back. Infuriated, Tie Weihua threw a punch at Du Tianyi’s chest.

Du Tianyi didn’t dodge or avoid it; he took a punch from Tie Weihua but still blocked the doorway, not allowing anyone to leave.

”Move aside! Move aside for me!” Tie Weihua yelled at the top of his lungs, appearing almost demented.

Seeing Tie Weihua like this, the Xingyi School members also got heated and glared angrily at Du Tianyi.

”Junior Brother, I’ll say it again, move aside immediately. Otherwise, don’t blame us for being rude!” The leading man said sternly, ”Today, Ye Qing must not escape no matter what!”

Du Tianyi looked at his watch and said, ”There are three minutes left!”

The man was stunned for a moment, then said angrily, ”It seems you really do not intend to move aside. Then don’t blame your senior brother for being ruthless!”

As he spoke, the man raised his hand and struck at Du Tianyi. Du Tianyi sidestepped to avoid the blow but did not strike back, merely blocking the punch.

Seeing this man attack, the rest rushed up and began attacking Du Tianyi altogether.

Du Tianyi stood his ground by the door, not moving even half a step, desperately blocking the crowd’s attacks. However, there were too many people and all of them were strong. After being surrounded and attacked for a while, he was hit several times, and his condition was not much better than Ye Qing’s. After all, Ye Qing had started fighting back later on, while he had only defended, never once retaliating.

After less than two minutes, Du Tianyi began vomiting blood ceaselessly, suffering from severe internal injuries. Meanwhile, the crowd was driven by fury, realizing that by now Ye Qing might have escaped far away, making pursuit difficult.

”Move aside! Move aside for me!” Tie Weihua shouted loudly, continuing to attack desperately with the group, but Du Tianyi stubbornly blocked the doorway, enduring the rain of punches on his body without retreating even half a step.

Finally, Du Tianyi managed to endure the five minutes, but he could no longer stand steady and slowly collapsed to the ground. He coughed up several mouthfuls of blood and slowly struggled to crawl to the side, panting weakly.

Seeing Du Tianyi in this state, most people inside the room felt sympathetic, after all, Du Tianyi was their Junior Brother.

Tie Weihua, however, was extremely infuriated. After opening the room door and failing to find Ye Qing, his rage intensified. He turned to look at Du Tianyi, suddenly grabbed a chair beside him, and violently smashed it on Du Tianyi’s head while bellowing, ”Du Tianyi, you actually let the killer of my father escape, I will kill you!”

The wooden chair leg broke instantly, and Du Tianyi’s head was pierced, blood gushing out continuously. Tie Weihua did not stop at all, grabbing the chair and beating Du Tianyi mercilessly, appearing intent on killing him.

Several men hurriedly gathered around, and a few others quickly pulled Tie Weihua away, finally stopping him.

”Junior Brother, Junior Brother, how are you?” A man supported Du Tianyi, who was covered in blood, looking quite frightening.

Du Tianyi slowly opened his eyes, smiled at him, opened his mouth, but couldn’t speak.

”Why are you still calling him Junior Brother!” Tie Weihua roared, ”He’s in cahoots with Ye Qing, with my father’s killer. He is no longer one of us from the Xingyi School. You all, kill him!”

”Wei Hua, don’t be so agitated!” Xiang Yunpeng, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke up. Looking at Du Tianyi’s condition, he furrowed his brow and said sternly, ”Junior Brother has been with Master for so many years, don’t you know his character? Once he is convinced of something, he absolutely won’t change his mind. Besides, Junior Brother is right, Master’s spirit in heaven wouldn’t want to see us wrong a good person!”
