Yue Gaoyang just had to bring up the worst topic possible. Chen Laojiu, already furious about his son, exploded in anger at the mention.

”Yue Gaoyang, you fucking dare bring this up!” Chen Laojiu, fueled by alcohol and rage, impulsively grabbed Yue Gaoyang by the neck and slammed him to the ground.

Yue Gaoyang struggled briefly, then flipped Chen Laojiu underneath him, mounted him, and started slapping him viciously, cursing out loud, ”Bastard, you even dare to hit me? Are you asking for death?”

Chen Laojiu, drunk and confused, stood no chance against Yue Gaoyang. After being slapped several times, he didn’t even have the strength to fight back. Just then, Da Fei suddenly pounced forward, kicked Yue Gaoyang, flipping him to the ground, and while pinning him down, he yelled furiously, ”You dare to hit my Brother Jiu, I’ll fight you to the death!”

Yue Gaoyang hadn’t expected Ye Qing’s man to come to Chen Laojiu’s aid, and he panicked. He opened his mouth to call for help, but Da Fei quickly covered it.

”Brother Jiu, Brother Jiu, help, help!” Da Fei turned his head to call Chen Laojiu, who staggered to his feet, noticed the situation, and immediately started kicking Yue Gaoyang fiercely.

”That’s for slashing my son, for hitting my brother, for striking me, I’ll fight you to the death!” As Chen Laojiu kicked and cursed, Yue Gaoyang, looking miserable and infuriated, could no longer hold back and drew a dagger from his waist, stabbing it toward Da Fei.

Da Fei hurriedly dodged, but was still a step too slow and was slashed by Yue Gaoyang’s dagger.

Yue Gaoyang got up, clutched the dagger tightly, and lunged at Chen Laojiu, stabbing him deeply in the left arm, eliciting a painful scream from him.

”Brother Jiu!” Da Fei yelled, and rushed to restrain Yue Gaoyang’s arms, urgently saying, ”Brother Jiu, get his knife!”

Chen Laojiu rushed over, pried Yue Gaoyang’s fingers open, and seized the dagger for himself.

Yue Gaoyang roared incessantly, ”Chen Laojiu, you motherfucker, just wait, I’ll definitely kill you. And you, don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re with Ye Qing, I won’t let you off. With so many of us in the Fu Bang, what can you do against me?”

Chen Laojiu, enraged by Yue Gaoyang’s words, kicked at Yue Gaoyang, but Yue Gaoyang’s curses grew even more vehement.

”Chen Laojiu, you remember this. As long as I get out of here alive today, not just you but your wife, your children, everyone in your family, I’ll make them suffer!”

Chen Laojiu grew even angrier, and Da Fei, his eyes fierce, suddenly said, ”Brother Jiu, kill him!”

”Huh?” Chen Laojiu was stunned for a second; he had only wanted to slash Yue Gaoyang a few times to vent his anger. He had never even dared to think about killing him!

”Kill him!” Da Fei urged urgently. ”This guy holds grudges. If we don’t kill him now, he’ll definitely come back to kill us one day. Brother Jiu, think about your son, can he survive another attack?”

Yue Gaoyang sneered, ”Kill me? You dare to kill me? I fucking don’t believe it, touch me and see, I’ll definitely kill your entire family!”

Da Fei and Yue Gaoyang’s words continuously provoked Chen Laojiu, especially the ones regarding his son. Holding the dagger, Chen Laojiu hesitated for a moment, then a chilling glint crossed his eyes, he gritted his teeth, gripped the dagger tightly, and charged in front of Yue Gaoyang, roaring, ”I’m going to kill you, what the fuck can you do about it!”

With those words, Chen Laojiu plunged the dagger straight into Yue Gaoyang’s chest.

Yue Gaoyang’s expression froze in shock as he stared at Chen Laojiu, never having imagined that Chen Laojiu would actually dare to kill him!

Da Fei let go of Yue Gaoyang’s arms, watching him slowly fall to the ground, his expression somewhat panicky. Meanwhile, Chen Laojiu seemed crazed, wielding the knife and repeatedly stabbing and slashing Yue Gaoyang. His son being slashed had left him highly distressed!

It took a full two minutes before someone finally burst in; the first to enter were Yue Gaoyang’s men. The restroom door was soundproof, and they’d heard nothing outside, never expecting to walk into such a scene.

A few men wrestled the dagger from Chen Laojiu’s hands, one of them kicked Chen Laojiu to the ground, grabbed the dagger, and moved to stab him. Da Fei hurriedly pushed him away, shouting angrily, ”What are you doing?”

”What am I doing? Killing him, avenging the Deputy Chief!” The man yelled loudly: ”Move, or I’ll kill you too!”

Da Fei glared, ”This is Tian Sheng, no one is allowed to kill here!”

”Stop fucking around with me!” the man shouted as he kicked Da Fei away and lunged towards Chen Laojiu. However, several people rushed into the restroom, all of whom were Ye Qing’s subordinates. Seeing the scene, they captured everyone present and took them to the conference room.

In the conference room, everyone was still waiting for Yue Gaoyang to return from the restroom. Unexpectedly, within less than ten minutes, Yue Gaoyang’s body was brought back as a corpse.

Seeing Yue Gaoyang’s body being carried in and the blood-covered Chen Laojiu behind it, everyone was shocked. The members of the Fierce Tiger Gang, including Pi Junchao, stared at Chen Laojiu in disbelief, completely unaware of what had occurred.

Amidst the chaos, Ye Qing furrowed his brows and asked, ”What happened?”

”What happened?” one of Yue Gaoyang’s subordinates angrily said, ”Mr. Ye, the Fierce Tiger Gang’s Chen Laojiu collaborated with your men to kill our Deputy Chief. What do you think happened?”

”Hey, don’t falsely accuse me!” Da Fei immediately retorted, ”What do you mean I conspired with Chen Laojiu to kill your Deputy Chief? It was clearly your Deputy Chief who tried to kill Chen Laojiu. I was just trying to break up the fight, and in the process of defending himself, Chen Laojiu accidentally killed Yue Gaoyang. Brother, I was there the whole time, I saw everything clearly. You can’t blame Chen Laojiu; it was merely self-defense!”

”Say that one more fucking time!” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate furiously shouted, rushing forward to attack Da Fei.

”I’ll fucking say it one hundred times the same way, you can’t intimidate me!” Da Fei stood his ground, unfazed by the aggression. Mad Dog and others immediately blocked Yue Gaoyang’s subordinates, preventing them from getting near Da Fei.

”Would our Eldest Brother have died there if you two hadn’t ambushed him?” Yue Gaoyang’s subordinate roared, ”Mr. Ye, you must give me an explanation for this. Otherwise, I will definitely go tell the Gang Leader and have him bring people to flatten all your territories!”

”Of course, we will provide you with an explanation, there’s no need to rush!” Ye Qing turned to Pi Junchao and said, ”Big Brother Pi, no matter how you look at it, Yue Gaoyang was killed by Chen Laojiu. Chen Laojiu belongs to the Fierce Tiger Gang. I want to see how Big Brother Pi plans to handle this matter.”

Pi Junchao’s brow furrowed deeply, the turn of events was completely unexpected. Who would have thought that Yue Gaoyang would die in the restroom, and by the hand of a member of the Fierce Tiger Gang, no less. This situation had put him in a difficult position.

Yue Gaoyang was the Deputy Chief of the Fu Bang, a man of significant influence. His death by Chen Laojiu’s hand wouldn’t be overlooked by the Fu Bang. They would definitely seek revenge, and if he favored Chen Laojiu, the Fu Bang would undoubtedly retaliate against them. Coupled with the alliance between the Tianqing Gang and the Fu Bang, they might end up losing their lives along with Chen Laojiu!

”The state has its laws, the family its rules,” Pi Junchao glanced at Chen Laojiu and said, ”A life for a life, it’s only natural!”

With those words, Pi Junchao indicated to everyone that Chen Laojiu’s life should be taken in compensation for Yue Gaoyang’s. For Pi Junchao, since Chen Laojiu had publicly opposed him on several occasions and had just embarrassed him in front of everyone, discarding such a man required no second thoughts. Moreover, by sacrificing Chen Laojiu, he could also save himself and the other members of the Fierce Tiger Gang – a view of the bigger picture.

However, what he didn’t anticipate was that his statement would immediately cause an uproar among those present.

These men had previously led various smaller factions within the Fierce Tiger Gang; they had come together under Pi Junchao mainly because they were hunted down to near extinction by the Tianqing Gang and Fu Bang. Frankly, they had never really appreciated Pi Junchao’s leadership, and their discontent hadn’t changed, especially after tonight. Now, Pi Junchao’s statement directly led them to total disappointment in him.

”Pi Junchao, Brother Jiu is still one of our own. How can you just hand him over without fully understanding what happened? Is this how you act as a leader?”

”What kind of leader is he? The Fierce Tiger Gang isn’t his to command!”

”Exactly, although we may not be as powerful as him, the Fierce Tiger Gang has never been cowards, nor will we let a coward lead us!”

The members openly expressed their positions, and internal conflicts within the Fierce Tiger Gang had already begun before any negotiations could start.

Pi Junchao’s brow furrowed even more; he hadn’t expected such a strong reaction from everyone. He wanted to explain why he had acted as he had, but with so many people present, he found it difficult to justify himself outrightly, managing only to declare angrily, ”I don’t need you to teach me how to handle my business!”

This statement only fueled the anger of the crowd further, especially since many were actually pleased about the death of Yue Gaoyang. Pi Junchao’s reluctance to support Chen Laojiu only added to their dissatisfaction with him.

Ye Qing remained calm, looking at Chen Laojiu he said, ”Chen Laojiu, your Eldest Brother said ’a life for a life.’ What do you think?”

”Mr. Ye, there’s no need to speak. I will take responsibility for my own actions!” Chen Laojiu gritted his teeth and declared boldly, ”What kind of crap is Pi Junchao? He’s not my Eldest Brother, and it’s not his place to dictate my actions. I will pay with my life for Yue Gaoyang, but I hope they won’t trouble my family anymore after this!”

”Humph, since when do you get to decide?” one of Yue Gaoyang’s men coldly interjected, ”How valuable is the life of our Deputy Chief? Even if your entire family dies, it wouldn’t be enough to compensate!”
