Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 252: Chapter 235: Want to Raise a Dog

”What? Did I hear that right?” He Wenyu came home with his physical examination form from Experimental Middle School, looking quite unhappy.

”I’m nearsighted, how did that happen?” He was very upset, using his eyes the same amount and studying for the same amount of time, so why was Qianqian’s vision fine?

Luo Qianqian, with a deadpan expression, asked, ”Does godmother know yet?” Why did he become nearsighted at this time? Clearly because of her, He Wenyu had already stayed away from video games and computer games.

”Take me to get glasses this weekend, boo hoo, I don’t want to.” He Wenyu stared at his physical examination form.

Luo Qianqian took the physical examination form. Height, oh boy, taller than her, which was good, it wouldn’t be normal if he weren’t. Weight, not bad, still within control; lung capacity... ”Are you a fish? You have alveoli? Why is your lung capacity so big?”

”Xiao Yu and fish, both pronounced ’yu’, maybe that’s the connection,” Luo Shufan said as he took the physical examination form from his sister, looking impressed a moment later. ”Not just lung capacity, this grip strength is also very slick, Xiao Yu, you’re really something.”

”Exactly.” He Wenyu proudly claimed, ”I’ve been practicing Taekwondo since I was little, my physical condition is much better than Qianqian’s.”

”So, is that the mysterious reason for the nearsightedness?” Luo Qianqian looked displeased. ”We should make godmother get you the ugliest pair of glasses.”

”Right, we have our physicals coming up too.” Bai Yizhu looked annoyed. ”Why do they need a physical for the college entrance exam? What if they find something and I have to pretend to be sick to avoid the sports meeting?”

”Enough.” Luo Shufan shook his head. ”Everyone, be careful with your eyes. When I get back from school tomorrow, I’ll buy eye drops, one for each of you. Let’s all protect our eyes.”

”Brother, I have really good vision. I can even see the red underwear you’re wearing today,” Luo Qianqian said, baring her teeth at Luo Shufan.

Luo Shufan was taken aback and looked at his pants. It was obviously home wear; how could she possibly see that?

”I was just bluffing, but now I’m sure...” Luo Qianqian added.

”Get lost. By the way, how have you been doing with your studies lately?” Luo Shufan asked insincerely. As a brother and as a guardian, when had he ever worried about his sisters’ grades? It wasn’t just Luo Qianqian giving him a hard time, even his foster sister He Wenyu rolled her eyes at him.

”Should we have chicken today?” He Wenyu looked towards Luo Qianqian, ignoring Luo Shufan.

Luo Qianqian nodded. ”Hopefully it’ll help me build some muscle. Compared to your medical form, mine looks like a case of malnutrition.”

”Indeed, height’s not great, weight’s not heavy, grip strength that can’t crush a chicken. What has your exercise fed, dogs?” Luo Shufan thought for a moment and sighed. ”From now on, we’ll wake up early for morning exercise together.”

”Brother, do you know there’s something called a physical education test? Do you know your sister nearly throws up from running every day?” Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes. ”Not only are you not rewarding me with good food, but you’re also increasing my amount of exercise.”

He Wenyu suddenly looked up upon hearing this. ”Speaking of which, did you guys know about special sports admissions? The entry requirement is much lower than our middle school exams.”

”You wouldn’t make it either; you’d need exceptional physical ability,” Luo Qianqian shook her head wistfully. ”If the college entrance exam involved physical education, I’d really encourage my brother to train.”

”Then your college entrance exam would be even more painful,” Luo Shufan mercilessly struck back.

”Have you guys not noticed something?” Bai Yizhu looked at the physical examination form. ”Xiao Yu, don’t you feel something’s off?”

”What? What’s wrong?” Luo Qianqian’s face was tense with worry, could there be a problem? She snatched the physical exam report and looked it over from left to right.

”Cough cough...” Bai Yizhu coughed lightly, ”Take a look at the vision and height from last year’s physical and compare it to this year’s. The vision could be fatigue, but an increase of twelve centimeters in height???”

”Is one centimeter a month a lot?” He Wenyu looked puzzled.

Luo Shufan, however, was looking at He Wenyu with a stern face, ”We all eat the same food, so how come Qianqian grew seven centimeters in a year? From now on, Xiao Yu eats as much as Qianqian does, lest you really become a shorty.” Looking at Luo Qianqian, he was the picture of frustration, ”You’re not even enthusiastic about eating, what else can you do?”

”I could be a happy freeloader,” Luo Qianqian mumbled quietly. Seeing that her brother was still looking at her, she quickly said loudly, ”I could study hard and improve every day.”

”But we already made plans to go out this weekend, Xiao Yu... Are you trying to save me money? You’re so nice,” Luo Qianqian said, hugging He Wenyu and chuckling quietly.

He Wenyu rolled his eyes, ”Dream on. We’ll finish eating and playing then go get my glasses with my mom. But if you want to eat what I cook, wait until next time.”

”Brother, you have classes this weekend, I should be back before you guys. Do I still need to leave the numbers of everyone who’s going out?” Luo Qianqian helplessly pulled out her phone. Every time they went out, she had to write down a long list of phone numbers and lay it out on the table, though they’d never been used.

”I’ve already got your classmates’ numbers, no need for that. Just come back early with Xiao Yu,” Luo Shufan took her phone, looked at the twenty or so numbers stored in his sister’s phone, then looked at his own phone that had more than twice as many numbers, and felt reassured since he had all of his sister’s contacts.

”Brother, you’re definitely going to be a great dad,” Luo Qianqian thought for a moment and said smilingly, ”My little nephews and nieces will certainly be under strict discipline.”

”What else? Raise you to cause trouble when out of sight? How many more heart attacks can I handle?” Luo Shufan huffed, handed back the phone to his sister, and turned to Bai Yizhu, ”If it’s not mandatory for you to attend the evening study, come back with me. I’m skipping it too, and we can do some papers at home and enjoy some midnight snacks.”

”I’ve been wanting to say this, awesome, I’ll ask the teacher next week,” Bai Yizhu nodded, ”This shows that your family’s discipline will certainly be strict.”

That’s for sure, to prevent me from staying out late or wandering off, he isn’t even attending the evening studies. Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes.

”Brother Zhuzi, no worries, any kids you can’t handle just toss them to my brother, he loves fussing,” Luo Qianqian said with a mischievous grin, ”My brother being a stay-at-home husband wouldn’t be too bad, right?”

”Luo Qianqian, you still want to be a freeloader? If I become a stay-at-home husband, who will earn the money for you to do nothing and just be an irritating freeloader?” Luo Shufan clenched his fist, his face fierce as he approached his sister, ”I don’t mind keeping an eye on you for a couple more years, since you’d still be a minor even after starting college.”

”No worries, no worries, as for making money, I’ve decided to keep a dog... the kind that can make money,” Luo Qianqian nodded firmly.

”Are you out of your mind?” Luo Shufan handed the physical exam report to He Wenyu, ”Get your glasses and take her with you, otherwise, who knows what she’ll end up doing.”

”Is it okay if I go do some heroic deeds?”

”Your acts of heroism would definitely be based on good looks,”

”Right, it’s a society that judges by appearance... Brother, why are you hitting me?”

”A society judging by appearance, you just look like you deserve a beating, just looking at you makes me want to punch you.”
