I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 234: Chapter 230: This Wine Indeed Belongs Only in Heaven

At the same time, Li You also guessed that the reason this film crew knew about his place was likely related to Wei Yang’s crew from last time.

Having more film crews come here to eat was, of course, a good thing.

Li You was very happy. He stood up, ready to welcome his guests.

As Zhang Hongyi, Yu Hai, and the others approached, they also saw Li You leaning back in a rocking chair at the entrance.

They had heard the owner was a young man.

Was that the young man in the rocking chair by the entrance?

He looked quite comfortable.

As they got closer, they saw the young man stand up, take a few steps forward, and say with a slight smile, ”Welcome! It’s an honor to have you all here.”

Hearing the young man speak, everyone in the film crew thought, ’This young man must be the owner, just as we heard. I wonder if he recognizes who we are?’

But that wasn’t important. They were here to eat, so they were just customers.

Zhang Hongyi smiled slightly. ”You must be Boss Li You, right?”

Li You wasn’t surprised that the man could guess his identity.

As for the man’s identity? Li You felt he looked a bit familiar, like a director.

Suddenly, he remembered. Zhang Hongyi, that had to be him. Although not as famous as Wei Yang, he was still a well-known director, and Li You had seen him on screen before.

So he smiled and said, ”I am Li You. Having Director Zhang visit my humble shop truly brightens the place.”

”Oh?” Zhang Hongyi said, ”Boss Li, you recognize me?”

Li You said, ”Director Zhang, you’re incredibly famous. I enjoy your movies, so of course I recognize you.”

Zhang Hongyi said, ”You flatter me, you flatter me.”

At this, the film crew all thought to themselves again, ’So the young boss already recognized Director Zhang. It’s a bit surprising that he’s so calm about it.’

But on second thought, it also seemed perfectly normal. After all, Wei Yang had been here before.

Just then, Zhang Hongyi added, ”Boss Li, these are the crew members for the film we’re currently shooting. We’re filming at the Southwest Film and Television Base right now. We came here to eat on Director Wei Yang’s recommendation.”

Li You thought, ’Just as I expected,’ and then said to the crew, ”It’s an honor to meet all of you. Please, come in, come in.”

The crew members all replied, ”You’re too kind, Boss Li.”

Then, led by Li You, they filed into the restaurant.

As soon as they entered, they saw Guyi’s painting.

Everyone was slightly taken aback. The level of artistry in this painting was remarkably high! Even someone who didn’t understand art could tell.

Could this be the painting by Master Guyi?

Were the rumors about Master Guyi and this restaurant actually true?

Yu Hai, still reeling from the shock, pointed at the painting and asked Li You, ”Excuse me, Boss, is that painting a work by Master Guyi?”

Li You nodded. ”It is.”

Yu Hai and the rest of the crew, including Director Zhang Hongyi, were even more shocked.

Then, Yu Hai added, ”So does that mean Master Guyi really ate here and painted that on the spot?”

Li You nodded again, then smiled. ”Yes, that’s right. It seems word is slowly getting out.”

Yu Hai and the crew were in disbelief. They never thought the rumors about Guyi were actually true.

This restaurant was probably truly out of the ordinary.

At this moment, the two tables of customers still eating in the restaurant were all watching the film crew.

The customers inside had heard the conversation between Li You, Zhang Hongyi, and the rest of the crew outside the entrance.

So, the customers all knew who the crew members were.

This made all the customers extremely excited.

To think that only a few days after Wei Yang’s crew came to eat, another new film crew had arrived.

Everyone knew Zhang Hongyi. Although not as famous as Wei Yang, he was still a well-known director.

Moreover, the customers also recognized celebrity actors like Yu Hai and Liu ZeLin in the group.

Clearly, this was another major film crew.

Major film crews coming all this way to eat, one after another, despite the distance... wasn’t that just incredible?

It was starting to feel like seeing celebrities in the boss’s restaurant was becoming a common occurrence.

It made them wonder which other celebrities might come to eat here in the future. It was quite intriguing.

But that was for the future. For now, they’d watch this group.

This should be the first time for all of them eating at the restaurant.

In that case, after they tasted the food and wine later, they would surely look completely incredulous and thrilled.

It would be quite a sight to see.

The customers loved watching this kind of thing.

They were lucky today. They’d get to see the shocked and excited expressions of a famous director and so many celebrity actors.

Of course, the looks of disbelief had already started.

Disbelief because of the story about Guyi.

Master Guyi not only ate here but also painted a picture on the spot. Hard to believe, right?

The more incredulous the crew members were, the more excited and satisfied the customers became.

At this point, the crew members finally recovered from their shock.

They sat down at their tables, ready to order and eat.

They had heard about dishes like Boiled Cabbage in Broth, Mapo Tofu, Twice-Cooked Pork, Crucian Carp with Agastache, Braised Chicken, Braised Chicken Feet, and so on from Wei Yang’s crew.

They said every dish here was delicious and well worth trying.

However, it seemed they hadn’t mentioned the Chopped Pepper Fish Head.

’Don’t those guys like Chopped Pepper Fish Head? That’s impossible! It’s a famous dish from Xiang Province; lots of people love it.’

Hearing their quiet discussion, Li You explained, ”That’s because the Chopped Pepper Fish Head is a new dish we just introduced yesterday.”

So that was why.

’No wonder. With so many people in Wei Yang’s crew, it’s impossible that none of them liked Chopped Pepper Fish Head.’

’Hmm, wait a minute. Since it’s a new dish from yesterday, Wei Yang’s crew definitely hasn’t tried it.’

’This means we get to try one more dish than Wei Yang’s crew did.’

’That sounds great. We can rub it in their faces when we get back.’

The entire crew was delighted.

Then they started ordering. Since every dish was delicious and worth trying, they decided to get a bit of everything.

”Let’s get ten orders each of the Boiled Cabbage in Broth, Mapo Tofu, Twice-Cooked Pork with Garlic Sprouts, Stir-fried Shredded Potatoes, and Tomato and Egg Soup.”

”Then fifty pounds of Spicy Crayfish, forty orders of Crucian Carp with Agastache, twenty orders of Chopped Pepper Fish Head, ten Braised Chickens, one hundred Braised Chicken Feet, and ten bowls of Steamed Pork with Preserved Vegetables.”

”That should be enough.”

”My apologies, everyone, but we’re out of the Steamed Pork with Preserved Vegetables today,” Li You said.

Everyone was a bit disappointed to hear that. But there was nothing to be done, so they let it go.

Oh, right, and the alcohol.

The people from Wei Yang’s crew had said the alcohol here was the best they’d ever had. Even Master Guyi had said this wine could only be found in the heavens.

They definitely had to drink some.

Except for the designated drivers, everyone would start with a bowl.

One bowl was two liang, a quantity that everyone could handle at the very least.

Li You asked them to wait a moment, then turned and went into the kitchen to get busy.

Xiaohai was cutting the braised chicken, while Da Bai was pouring the alcohol.

The alcohol was the first to arrive at the table.

The moment the alcohol was served, its rich yet mellow aroma stunned and delighted everyone.

This aroma was too enticing!

They had never smelled such a captivating aroma before.

Even high-end, famous liquors didn’t have an aroma like this.

At least, none of the premium liquors they had ever tasted had an aroma like this.

This alcohol was truly something special.

Yu Hai said excitedly, ”Director Zhang, everyone, let’s take a sip first and see how it tastes.”

Zhang Hongyi and the rest of the crew all nodded. ”Alright, let’s have a taste.”

They were also incredibly eager.

Everyone raised their bowls and took a sip.

With that one sip, they all felt an unprecedented sense of surprise, disbelief, and intense excitement.

There was only one thought in their minds: this wine truly could only be found in the heavens.
