I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 222: Chapter 218: We Have a Place Here with a Lot of Bighead Carp

Soon, Bald Qiang’s figure came into view.

He was wearing a camouflage vest and a matching cap. He had a large backpack slung over his shoulder and was holding a small flag.

It was a tour guide’s flag.

So, Bald Qiang had become a tour guide.

Li You remembered that the first time Bald Qiang worked as a tour guide was in *Boonie Bears: The Adventurers*.

’So the timeline has already reached *Boonie Bears: The Adventurers*,’ he thought. ’I wonder if Zhao Lin has appeared yet?’

’I should ask him about it later.’

Bald Qiang walked slowly, step by step, with his head hung low, looking utterly listless.

’Did he get tired out from leading a tour? Or did he get another complaint from a tourist?’

And why the word ”another”?

That was, of course, because Brother Qiang had been complained about by tourists quite a few times.

After Bald Qiang slowly drew closer, Li You appeared before him in a flash and called out, ”Brother Qiang.”

Bald Qiang was stunned for a moment, then became incredibly surprised and excited. ”Li You, you’re here! This is great!”

Li You smiled. ”It’s been a while. Brother Qiang isn’t even logging anymore, you’ve become a tour guide instead.”

Hearing this, Bald Qiang grew even more excited and said, ”You can tell that Brother Qiang is a tour guide now? It seems Brother Qiang really does have the charisma and talent for it.”

Li You nodded and added, ”I was wondering, has Zhao Lin come to Bear Ridge?”

Bald Qiang said with surprise, ”I didn’t expect you to know about Zhao Lin too. Speaking of Zhao Lin, Old Zhao has been hoping these past few days that I would go with her to find her childhood playmate, Hu Niu. I haven’t agreed. The forest is too dangerous, it’s no place for a little girl like her.”

’So Bald Qiang hasn’t agreed to go with Zhao Lin to find Hu Niu yet.’

But Li You knew that Bald Qiang would eventually agree. So, he smiled and said, ”The forest may be dangerous, but with Brother Qiang along, it should be very safe.”

Bald Qiang said proudly, ”With Brother Qiang around, it’s true her safety can be guaranteed. But I don’t have time to go looking for Hu Niu with her right now. By the way, Li You, are you here at Bear Ridge as a tourist this time? Do you want Brother Qiang to be your guide? Brother Qiang is a professional guide now.”

Li You shook his head. ”I’m not here for tourism. When I left last time, didn’t I say I’d come back to treat you all to spicy crayfish? This time, I’m here to treat you to spicy crayfish. Also, I’d like to get some bighead carp heads to take back with me.”

Bald Qiang was excited again. ”That’s great! You still remembered. Lately, Xiong Er, and Jiji and Maomao, have all been wondering when you’d come back to treat everyone to spicy crayfish. I can’t believe you’re here today. They’ll be so happy when they find out.”

Li You said, ”I’ve been thinking about it this whole time.”

Bald Qiang said, ”That’s the spirit, Li You. By the way, what do you need bighead carp heads for? To make Chopped Pepper Fish Head?”

Li You nodded. ”Exactly, to make Chopped Pepper Fish Head. You know I opened a restaurant, right? I’m planning to add Chopped Pepper Fish Head to the menu. So I need a large quantity of bighead carp heads. That’s why I came here to you and the others, Brother Qiang. To see if there’s any way to get a lot of them.”

Bald Qiang said, ”Then you’ve come to the right place. I know a spot with tons of bighead carp. At least several thousand, maybe even ten thousand of them. A lot of them are five or six, even six or seven pounds each. You can have as many as you want. You could even take them all back with you.”

Li You was incredibly surprised to hear this and said, ”Brother Qiang, is there really a place like that?”

Bald Qiang said, ”Of course there is.”

’This is great!’

Li You was thrilled. ’So the system sent me to the world of *Boonie Bears* this time because there’s a place here with a huge number of bighead carp.’

’So this is how I’m supposed to get the ingredients I need this time.’

’I finally get it.’

’Wait, does it cost money?’ Li You felt it was a necessary question to ask.

”Brother Qiang, are they free?”

Bald Qiang said, ”Of course they’re free!”

”That’s amazing!” Li You added, ”Where is this place? Brother Qiang, can you take me there?”

Bald Qiang said, ”I’ll definitely take you. Xiong Da and Xiong Er will come too. We still need to catch the fish out of the water.”

Li You said, ”Thank you, Brother Qiang. Then let’s eat the spicy crayfish first. Everyone can eat their fill, there’s plenty to go around.”

Bald Qiang said, ”Then I’ll go let Xiong Da and Xiong Er know, and Jiji and Maomao too.”

Li You nodded. ”I’ll leave it to you then, Brother Qiang. Brother Qiang, do you have a large pot at your place? If so, I’ll use it to cook.”

Bald Qiang said, ”I have a big pot. But not a stove big enough for it.”

Li You said, ”That’s okay. We can build a stove out of stones in the yard.”

Bald Qiang said delightedly, ”Great idea! Building a stove in the yard will make it even more fun. Let’s build the stove first, and after it’s done, I’ll go tell Xiong Da and Xiong Er.”

Li You nodded. ”Okay.”

Then, the two of them began to build the stove.

Once it was built, Bald Qiang brought out a large pot, a long table, and some firewood from his house.

Then he said, ”Li You, I’m off to tell Xiong Da and Xiong Er.”

Li You nodded. ”Thanks for the trouble, Brother Qiang. I’ll start making the spicy crayfish here. By the time everyone gets here, it should be about ready to eat.”

Bald Qiang said, ”Okay. If you need water, you can get it from the kitchen.”

Li You nodded again. ”Okay!”

With that, Bald Qiang left through the yard gate. Li You, meanwhile, took a lighter out of his Storage Pavilion and lit the firewood.

Then he went to the kitchen and brought out a bucket of water.

Now he could officially start making the spicy crayfish.

All the necessary ingredients and spices were in the Storage Pavilion. The crayfish were already cleaned and prepared.

Bald Qiang’s pot was quite large; making twenty pounds at once wouldn’t be a problem.

’I’ll make a twenty-pound batch first, then.’

Li You began to cook.

Just as the spicy crayfish were almost ready to be served, a very excited voice called out from the distance, ”Li You, we’re here!”

It was Xiong Er’s voice.

Li You looked toward the sound and sure enough, he saw Xiong Da and Xiong Er running quickly toward the small yard, each with their own unique running style.

Li You was also very happy to see Xiong Da and Xiong Er again. He immediately walked out of the yard to wait for them.

When Xiong Da and Xiong Er ran closer, Li You smiled. ”Xiong Da, Xiong Er, you’re here. It’s great to see you again.”

Xiong Er said, ”We’re really happy to see you again too! Bald Qiang told us you came to treat us to spicy crayfish. This is great! So you really did remember. We were worried you might have forgotten.”

Li You said, ”I never forgot. Eat as much as you want today. There’s more than enough for everyone.”

”Yay!” Xiong Er cheered. Then he added, ”I can already smell the spicy crayfish. It smells so good!”

Xiong Da said, ”It really does smell amazing. Li You, your spicy crayfish must be super delicious.”

Li You chuckled. ”It should be pretty decent.”

Xiong Er added, ”Bald Qiang also said you need bighead carp heads. That’s super easy! We’ve got a place here with tons of bighead carp. We’ll all go help you catch them later.”

Li You thanked them profusely, ”Thank you, thank you so much!”
