I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 230: Chapter 226: Boss, I Want to Rent a Room Too

At that moment, Li You walked out of the restaurant and saw Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru talking to each other.

’Hm?’

’Have these two gotten to know each other already?’

Li You knew Ling Xiaoru was coming for lunch today. He had planned to introduce her to Ye Shengge once she arrived.

They both knew of each other, but had never met.

He hadn’t expected them to have already met on their own.

’This is great. Now I don’t have to introduce them.’

’In that case, I’ll just leave them be.’

Just then, over by the parking lot, Deng Luping, Xie Hai, Wang Dongliang, Liu Yiquan, and the other bosses from the market arrived.

As the bosses drew closer, Li You stepped forward to greet them with a smile. ”Good afternoon, bosses!”

The bosses replied in unison, ”Hello, Boss Li!”

Then, Deng Luping added, ”We heard from Boss Zhao that you have a new dish today, Boss Li: Chopped Pepper Fish Head. We made a special trip just to try it.”

Li You said, ”You’re more than welcome! Boss Zhao is already inside, eating while he waits for you.”

Deng Luping said, ”Boss Zhao is quite the eager one. He just had to run over here first by himself.”

Li You smiled. ”That’s because Chopped Pepper Fish Head is one of his favorites.”

Deng Luping nodded. ”He has mentioned that before. He was pretty excited when he heard the news this morning. Of course, we were all pleasantly surprised as well. We love Chopped Pepper Fish Head too.”

Li You said, ”Right this way then, bosses!”

”After you, Boss Li!”

Li You led the bosses into the restaurant and over to Zhao Yu’s table.

When Zhao Yu saw them, he grinned. ”You’re finally here! I’ve already ordered another ten servings of Chopped Pepper Fish Head, I was just waiting for you.”

The bosses all laughed and said that in that case, they would definitely have to dig in.

Then they each took a seat.

The ten servings of Chopped Pepper Fish Head were quickly brought over, and the bosses couldn’t wait to dig in.

And as they ate, they were of course full of praise. Boss Li’s cooking never disappointed.

Besides the Chopped Pepper Fish Head, the bosses naturally ordered other dishes as well.

Li You went into the kitchen and got to work.

After serving all the dishes, he wondered, ’I wonder when those two ladies are planning to eat?’

’I should go ask.’

He stepped out of the restaurant. Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru had finished their conversation and were both on their phones.

’They’re both on their phones, so why aren’t they eating yet?’

’Aren’t they hungry?’

”When are you two ladies planning to eat?” Li You asked.

”We were waiting to eat with you once you’re free,” Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru said at almost the same time.

This caught Li You by surprise. He hadn’t expected both of them to wait to eat with him.

’What do I do now?’

’Oh well. I guess the three of us will just have to eat together.’

So, Li You said, ”Well, how about the three of us eat together then?”

Ye Shengge nodded. ”Sounds good.”

Ling Xiaoru said, ”Sure, that works.”

Li You asked, ”So what would you like to eat?”

Ye Shengge said, ”Chopped Pepper Fish Head and Mapo Tofu.”

Ling Xiaoru said, ”I’ll have the Chopped Pepper Fish Head too, and also the Spicy Crayfish.”

Li You nodded. ”Alright. I’ll call you when it’s ready.”

”Okay! Thanks, Boss,” Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru said in unison.

Li You returned to the kitchen. Since there were no customers ordering at the moment, he decided to cook their meal first.

’One wants Chopped Pepper Fish Head and Mapo Tofu; the other wants Chopped Pepper Fish Head and Spicy Crayfish. So, that’s three servings of Chopped Pepper Fish Head, one Mapo Tofu, three pounds of Spicy Crayfish... and I’ll add a Tomato and Egg Drop Soup to round it out.’

He got to work.

By the time he was done, it was one in the afternoon. It was a little late for lunch, but still fine.

He walked to the entrance and called out to Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru, ”Ladies, lunch is ready.”

”Okay, thanks, Boss!” they replied in unison.

They then got up and walked into the restaurant with Li You.

They sat down at their table.

Eating with two beautiful women for the first time put Li You in a great mood. He was about to ask if they wanted something to drink, but on second thought, decided against it.

The main reason was that Ling Xiaoru’s and Ye Shengge’s alcohol tolerances were on completely different levels. If Ling Xiaoru got a competitive streak and insisted on a drinking contest with Ye Shengge, things could get out of hand.

However, though Li You didn’t ask, someone else did.

Ye Shengge spoke up, ”Should we have something to drink?”

Li You said, ”It’s the middle of the day, maybe we should skip the alcohol. We can just enjoy the food.”

However, Ling Xiaoru said, ”But it’s my first time eating with Miss Ye. I think we could have a little.”

Li You looked at Ling Xiaoru and thought, ’You have no idea what Ye Shengge’s tolerance is like, do you?’

’Ah, whatever,’ he thought. ’If we’re drinking, we’re drinking. As long as it’s just a little.’ He then said aloud, ”Alright, let’s just have a little, then. One bowl each, and no more. How does that sound?”

Ye Shengge said, ”That works! Just a little something is fine.”

”I’m fine with that too,” said Ling Xiaoru.

Li You nodded. ”That’s settled then.”

He then had Da Bai bring over three bowls of wine.

The three of them ate and drank, and the atmosphere was quite harmonious.

Ling Xiaoru felt that today’s Chopped Pepper Fish Head tasted even better than the one they had the night before last. ”Boss,” she said, ”how come today’s Chopped Pepper Fish Head seems even tastier than the one we ate the other night?”

Li You replied, ”It is a little tastier. That’s because the quality of the fish head itself is better today.”

”Oh, I see.” Ling Xiaoru nodded.

Ye Shengge added, ”The Chopped Pepper Fish Head we had last night tasted the same as this one, though.”

Ling Xiaoru then asked, ”By the way, Boss, are your spare rooms upstairs available for rent?”

”Hm?” Li You asked. ”Why? Are you looking to rent one?”

Ling Xiaoru nodded. ”If you are renting them out, I’d like to rent the one I usually sleep in. Otherwise, it doesn’t feel right always staying here for free.”

Li You’s eyes lit up. He smiled and said, ”You want to rent? Of course, you can. The rent will be the same as Miss Ye’s: one thousand yuan a month. What do you think?”

Ling Xiaoru said, ”That works! It’s not expensive. In that case, I’ll transfer you a year’s rent right now.”

With that, she picked up her phone and transferred twelve thousand yuan to Li You.

Li You chuckled. ”You could have transferred it anytime. Should we sign a contract or something?”

Ling Xiaoru said, ”I don’t think it’s necessary. But if you’d like to, Boss, we can.”

Li You replied, ”I don’t think it’s necessary either. Let’s not sign one then, it’s too much trouble. Miss Ye and I never signed a contract either.”

Ling Xiaoru nodded. ”Okay.”

Ye Shengge glanced at Ling Xiaoru but didn’t say anything.

They went back to eating and drinking.

Gradually, the three of them finished the wine in their bowls. The food was also mostly gone.

Ye Shengge, of course, showed no reaction. Li You was also fine, feeling almost no dizziness.

Only Ling Xiaoru was a little dizzy.

But it was manageable, just a slight dizziness. Nothing serious.

Li You said, ”Alright, the wine is gone, so no more drinking. There are still some leftovers, so let’s all get some rice. We should have some rice with our lunch.”

Ye Shengge and Ling Xiaoru both nodded.
