I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 213: Chapter 209: The Beauty Is a Little Drunk

Time slowly ticked by until eight in the evening, when the last wave of customers left.

”Time to get ready for dinner. You must be hungry, right?” Li You said to Ling Xiaoru.

Ling Xiaoru shook her head. ”Not really. It’s not too late. When I was at home, I was always alone, so sometimes I wouldn’t eat until this time anyway.”

Li You nodded. ”That’s good, then. Let’s go upstairs to eat. We can watch some TV, eat, and have a little something to drink.”

Ling Xiaoru said, ”Okay.”

Li You had specially saved a braised chicken and also prepared five jin of spicy crawfish. This much food should be plenty.

He also poured two bowls of wine, and then went upstairs with Ling Xiaoru.

He had originally planned to use the Qiankun Pot to simmer a batch of braising liquid tonight. He decided against it now. ’Tomorrow will be soon enough,’ he thought.

The two of them sat on the sofa, set down the food and wine, and turned on the TV.

Previously, Li You would eat, drink, and watch TV by himself. Now that he had a beautiful woman with him, it felt completely different.

”What kind of shows do you like to watch?” Li You asked Ling Xiaoru.

”Movies, TV series, all kinds of documentaries... anything is fine,” Ling Xiaoru said.

Li You said, ”Let’s watch a documentary then. The CCTV Documentary channel is showing one about food right now.”

”Oh, great! I love food documentaries,” Ling Xiaoru said, her interest piqued.

And so, the two of them watched a food documentary while enjoying delicious food and fine wine. It was incredibly pleasant.

This prompted Ling Xiaoru, after slowly finishing her first bowl of wine, to say she wanted another.

This surprised Li You a little. He knew Ling Xiaoru’s tolerance was about one bowl.

If she had another bowl, she would most likely get drunk.

Not every beautiful woman could drink like Ye Shengge.

”Maybe you shouldn’t. Another bowl and you’ll definitely be drunk,” Li You advised.

Ling Xiaoru shook her head. ”Don’t worry, Boss. I feel great today. I definitely won’t get drunk after another bowl. I know my limits.”

Li You studied Ling Xiaoru carefully. Aside from the slight blush on her cheeks, she really didn’t seem drunk at all.

’Oh well, another bowl it is.’ Since Ling Xiaoru herself had asked for another, Li You couldn’t be a wet blanket, could he?

So, Li You had Da Bai bring up two more bowls of wine.

The two of them continued to drink.

After they slowly finished the second bowl, Li You was fine, aside from feeling a little dizzy. He had no other issues.

As for Ling Xiaoru... she was also fine. She probably wasn’t drunk yet, but her head was definitely spinning more than Li You’s.

”Boss, thank you for dinner. I’m going to take a shower and then go to sleep,” Ling Xiaoru said, about to stand up.

But as soon as she stood, she quickly sat back down. ”Nope, I’m a little dizzy. I need to rest for a bit.”

Li You didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ’From the looks of it, she’s probably more than just ”a little” dizzy, isn’t she?’ Luckily, she didn’t seem to be completely drunk.

’She should rest for a bit. She’ll probably feel better after a while. The main thing is that this wine wears off quickly.’

Ling Xiaoru leaned back on the sofa, her long legs looking incredibly alluring.

However, Li You didn’t stare. After only a moment’s glance, he said, ”Let me help you back to your room to sleep.”

Ling Xiaoru hummed in agreement. ”Thank you, Boss!”

’She’s still pretty clear-headed,’ he thought.

Li You helped Ling Xiaoru up and slowly walked her to the room she had slept in last time.

Once inside the room, he lifted her directly into his arms and placed her on the bed.

’This girl is pretty heavy,’ he thought. ’Probably around 110 jin.’

Of course, for a height of nearly 170 centimeters, she needed to have this kind of weight.

Otherwise, she’d be too skinny.

’Being too skinny isn’t attractive, especially having legs like chopsticks. I really don’t get what’s so beautiful about them.’

’Legs like Ling Xiaoru’s were just right.’

Among the beautiful women he knew well, even Chu Yiwei was a little bit on the skinny side.

’But she was fine too. Her legs were still very alluring.’

After placing Ling Xiaoru on the bed, Li You pulled the blanket over her. Then he left the room but didn’t close the door.

He returned to his own room and left his door open as well.

He lay on his bed and played on his phone for a while...

...

「The next day.」

At seven in the morning, Li You got up and saw that someone was showering in the bathroom.

It was obviously the beautiful Ling Xiaoru.

’It’s been a whole night. She should be completely sober by now.’

Sure enough, after a short wait, the bathroom door opened, and Ling Xiaoru emerged, wrapped in a towel. Seeing Li You, she said with some embarrassment, ”Sorry, Boss. I drank a little too much last night.”

Li You smiled. ”It wasn’t that bad, really. You were probably just a bit dizzy. Not drunk.”

Ling Xiaoru nodded. ”You’re right, I wasn’t drunk. I was clear-headed the whole time. You helped me to my room, then picked me up and put me on...”

She stopped abruptly. After a moment, she continued, ”Anyway, I remember all of it. I was perfectly lucid.”

Li You chuckled and asked, ”What about now? How are you feeling?”

Ling Xiaoru replied, ”I feel completely fine now, not the slightest bit of discomfort. It’s like I didn’t drink at all. It must be because the wine is so good; it wears off incredibly fast.”

Li You nodded. He wasn’t surprised by this.

Next, Ling Xiaoru went back to her room to change while Li You started to wash up.

After he was done, Ling Xiaoru, also changed, came out of her room.

Seeing her, Li You gave a sly grin. ”I think you looked better just now, wrapped in the towel.”

Ling Xiaoru rolled her eyes. ”That’s because I wasn’t wearing anything underneath, so my legs looked longer. If it were Xiao Yue, you’d definitely like it more. Her legs are even longer.”

Li You laughed out loud and said, ”Your legs are already more than long enough. Compared to Xiao Yue, there’s not much of a difference.”

Ling Xiaoru shook her head. ”Not much of a difference still means there’s some difference. But hey, I might not be the best, but I’m better than most. I’m quite satisfied with them myself.”

Li You said, ”Your legs are already longer than most people’s. More importantly, they’re not just long, they’re also shapely. Some people have long legs, but they’re not well-shaped.”

”Really, Boss?” Hearing Li You say this made Ling Xiaoru very happy.

Li You nodded. ”Of course, it’s true.”

”Thank you, Boss!” Ling Xiaoru was even happier now.

Chatting, the two of them went downstairs together.

After they cooked and ate two bowls of Yangchun Noodles, Ling Xiaoru said, ”Boss, you can stay busy in the kitchen. I’m going to continue digging. I’ll finish up the plot we cleared out yesterday.”

Li You nodded. ”Thanks for your hard work, then. Once you finish digging the land we cleared yesterday, that should be about enough. We’ll stop expanding for now. If we feel like it someday in the future, we can continue clearing more land.”

Ling Xiaoru nodded. Then she grabbed a hoe and went out to the field to continue digging.

Li You, meanwhile, planned to use the Qiankun Pot to simmer a batch of braising liquid.

He still had plenty of the various ingredients needed to make it.

He took the Qiankun Pot out from the Storage Pavilion.

The mouth of the pot was about one and a half meters in diameter and about thirty centimeters deep. In terms of appearance, it wasn’t any different from a regular large pot.

The amount of heat it required was also the same as a regular large pot.

But its capacity was 100 times that of a regular large pot.

’What a truly magical treasure.’

After a series of preparations, Li You began simmering the braising liquid.

From today onward, he would only need to braise one pot of food each day to meet demand.

The Qiankun Pot had truly arrived at the perfect time.
