The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 342: Chapter 342- [Bloodline Requiem: Demon Heart Awakening]

[Exalted Strike]Description: A single, overwhelming attack imbued with divine wrath. Use: Destroys anything in its path, including magical barriers, cursed objects, and even space itself. The strike leaves a scar of holy energy that lingers, preventing enemies from entering the area.

Reinahrdt did not hold back this time and unleashed the skill at 100%. No force was capable of stopping that attack, at least the Twelfth Heavenly King was not powerful enough.

After destroying the [Death Seeking Arrays], the sword slash brimming with divine wrath, continued on its path, unabated.

”?”

At this moment, the two combatants who were locked in a fierce fight sensed the shuddering of the space and turned around.

A pillar of pure white light; no, it was no pillar but a sword slash imbued with an absurd amount of holy energy, speeding through the sky and heading for the gate suspended above the city.

The moment Skarnyx laid eyes on that attack, his very core shuddered, and he hurriedly shouted at the demon still coming out of the gate above to get away.

That said, it was too late. The huge sword slash as bright as the day, arrived before the black summoning gate, cleaving and disintegrating it along with the thousands and thousands of demons that were still pouring out of it.

A single attack managed to kill well over six thousand demons, which also included a few high ranking ones. As the sword slash was extremely conspicuous and came from a distance, those like the Demon Generals managed to dodge it.

Nevertheless, the damage was done, and the gate was destroyed.

Skarnyx clicked his tongue. What kind of ridiculous attack was that? How can a sword slash be so strong even when released from such a distance?

Then, as if to prove to him that he hadn’t seen anything, the [Exalted Strike]

continued forward. That’s right, even after taking on the multiple [Death Seeking Arrays], destroying thousands of demons and the summoning gate, the strike was still going strong.
At the end, it even crashed against the barrier set up around the city, destroying it and heading for the space beyond.

”This!!”

Everything, every plan and scheme that the Twelfth Heavenly King planned for, was all gone. As his hollow stared at the barrier that was now running with cracks and raining down like shards of glass, he couldn’t help but curse in frustration.

The death of thousands of demons mattered not to him as they were disposable pawns. However, the barrier, he still had plans for it, and it did not even get to show its effect before it was destroyed.

”Haha, judging from your expression, it appeared that you did not plan for this, did you?” Seeing the demon’s face contort into an ugly expression, Vaerion laughed, his figure suave and knightly.

Snort.. ”Don’t think you have won. I was prepared for there to be another level 10 knight hiding among you lot. I’ll leave that being to deal with the other one. For now, I’ll crush that smug look on your face”.

”Heh, what a coincidence. I was thinking of the same thing. I cannot allow a foreign knight to steal the show in my own home ground. What do you say, Valthor? Shall we start getting serious?”

ROAR... The man and beast roared, dark raven energy radiated out of their body, quickly turning into an armor around the large black gryffin, increasing its size and durability further.

That was not all, the torso of a giant knight in full black armor and holding onto a large sword also formed on top of the beast. The giant knight had impressive armor and breathed out dark crimson flames from its helmet. As for Vaerion, he was at the core of it.

At that moment, the man and the beast became one.

The Twelfth Heavenly King also exuded more strength and shifted into its second, primal demonic phase.

Crack.. Crack... Disturbing noises echoed out as the demon’s body inflated abnormally. Powerful scales covered its body, it grew a long barbed tail, and even bat like wings. On its decapaciated head, multiple more eyeballs popped up, looking extremely hideous.

”[Bloodline Requiem: Demon Heart Awakening]”.

It slowly announced.

.

Over at the Royal Palace, everyone looked in shock and awe at the golden haired knight who just crushed the enemy attack and killed thousands of enemies with a single strike.

With his actions, he had proven why the legendary Divine Paladin’s fabulous feats were renowned across the world for a reason.

With regards to the stares of awe he was receiving, Reinahrdt did not pay any attention to them.

”Everyone, form a group of five and spread around the city. Your goal is to protect the citizens and slay the demon”.

”Yes!!”

On Reinahrdt’s orders, the Order of the Temple of Light, who were quickest to arrive at the scene thanks to the instruction he gave them beforehand, shouted in affirmation and dispersed to fulfill their duty.

”Marcus, you will be on standby, protecting the king and queen and taking on any demons heading your way. Zerina, Grey, you two will be engaging the high ranking demons and Demon Generals as per the situation. Are my orders clear?”

The three holy knights nodded their heads.

After giving out his order, Reinhardt did not stay in one place for long. Activating the [Aetherial Stride], he quickly disappeared. Of course, just before moving away, he did not forget to order Karina to protect the Queen and King.

He left two level 8s with them just to be on the safe side.

Erza quietly watched the Divine Paladin make his move from the corner of her eyes. A few seconds later, she called out to her vice commander.

.

.

BOOM... With the demons spreading chaos everywhere, the capital was on fire. Building collapsed as powerful magic was unleashed. Cries and screams of citizens, rang from all around the city, it was the very definition of an apocalypse.

Needless to say, the Black Gryffin Legion and other knight orders of Aetherion responded to the critical situation. However, due to the demon’s careful three or four pronged attack, the capital at this moment was experiencing a shortage of knights.
