The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 323: Chapter 323- The Worsening Situation (3)

Kevin pointed his sword towards the sexy assassin who popped out of nowhere.

”You idiot, she is not an enemy but the boss’ shadow,” Vangeance spoke.

With the appearance of the Karina, all parties disengaged and backed away for a while.

”She is?” Kevin, Gwen, and Rolan all looked at the woman. Donned in tight leather armor that accentuated her mesmerising curves, her green highlighted hair, eyes, and those twin blades that she swung around.

Everything about her was extremely mysterious. And then there was that strong bloodlust that was just oozing out of her like she was breathing it out. It was no wonder that the squires’ first reaction was to point their blades at her.

There was probably no one among the recruits or squires who knew her. It was only the knights and older members of the order who were aware of Karina’s existence.

A subordinate so loyal that she does not leave the side of her master unless ordered. She was the kingdom’s deadliest assassin and one of the most wanted criminals. She was their Commander’s shadow.

”You are...?” The Queen looked at the assassin who had just protected her. For some reason, she felt like she knew this woman.

Karina did not answer; her eyes were locked on the enemies from start to end.

”So Commander left her here, huh. Can’t believe I am saying this, but for the first time I’m feeling relieved by her presence.” Silvia, who regrouped with everyone, spoke.

The Mad Blade struck fear not only into enemies but allies alike. Her reputation was that worse.

”You think we have a chance now?” Vangeane asked.

”Yeah, with her, we can rest assured that Her Majesty won’t be harmed. In fact, we should be the ones who have an advantage now...!!”

Silvia spoke a little too soon. Her face quickly turned grave as she saw a figure walk into the scene. Needless to say, it was not the figure they were waiting for, but instead the one their opponent wanted to see.

The man who walked into the scene was...

”Commander!!” The knights roared out.

The commander of the Luminous knights, a level 9 extreme knight.

Just as Silvia and the others saw a ray of hope, they were pushed into the pits of despair once again.

GULP... the big sister of the squad, the prodigious level 7 knight gulped. Even she did not have any confidence going against the Commander of the Luminous Knights. She had been managing against the vice commander so far was because the other party had only mastered one state of transcendence.

Their stats might be more powerful than hers. However, they lacked in all other aspects. That said, even if she managed to master the [Transition] that she recently grasped, she saw no way of winning this fight.

In front of true power, everything was meaningless. There was a vast gap that was impossible to bridge between a level 7 and a level 9.

Nevertheless, even if it meant certain defeat, they; no, she must do it. That is what it means to be a knight, that is what it means to swear the oath of the steel. That is what it means to be a member of the Order of the Temple of Light.

”Everyone...” She was just about to speak up when, from the corner of her eyes, she saw the Mad Blade pulling up to her.

”I will handle that guy. You take care of the level 8.”

”What? Wait..” Silvia was shocked. Even if the Mad Blade was amongst the finest of the finest assassins, the opponent was a level 9 knight. An opponent that even a holy knight would struggle against.

No matter how powerful she was, even she wouldn’t be able to beat the other party, right? Karina did wait for Silvia to finish and melded into the surroundings. Her soft words drifted with the air into everyone’s ears.

”All of you, endure a little longer. Master will be here soon”.

As if that word itself held magic, the moment the members heard that, their eyes brightened up, and strength welled up in their bodies once again.

At the same moment as Karina moved, the commander of the Luminous Knights, who was collecting information about the situation from his knights, narrowed his eyes.

”Be careful, all of you, there is a dangerous assassin among them”. To be able to even escape his senses, the enemy was no ordinary assassin.

Whoosh... his body moved so fast that he practically disappeared even from the eyes of knights like Vangeance and the others.

CLANG...BOOM... there was a fierce clash, followed by a devastating shockwave that destroyed everything within hundreds of meters of area around them.

Thankfully, this was a park, and the people had already evacuated since before the knight started fighting; as such, there was no collateral damage. Of course, other than the park itself.

Devastating skills that could cleave through the earth like butter, poison that could melt anything, movement skills that made slithery turns like a snake, and sword techniques pack with so much brute strength that stopping it was practically impossible.

The two fighters went at it with such grace and aggression that the observers watching were all mesmerised. Of course, they could marvel for long as the fight between two high level people was nothing short of catastrophic.

Even a random shockwave was powerful enough to kill ordinary people. As for knights, they too had to pull back in fear of being hit by those lethal skills.

Zzzz... space distorted as Karina quickly appeared behind her target. Her blades, glowing a brilliant green, stabbed towards the commander’s heart.

At that second, sensing her strong bloodlust, the latter moved his sword and countered her skill with his own.

CLANG... Daggers vs long sword. In that matchup, Karina came out on top as her skill, which purely focuses on all offensive and swift bursts of power, pushed the knight’s weapon back.
