The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 319: Chapter 319- Drezzle

”Look here, this embelm here marks us the guards of the saint candidate. By our authority we can check and question every people in the capital. We have detected traces of demonic energy among you lot.”

”That’s right, we need to bring you lot for questioning, so step aside”.

The proclaimed guards of the saint candidate started throwing their authority around and even accused Kevin and the others of having traces of demonic energy right out of the bet.

The squad looked at the group with caution. No matter how one looked at it, the other person didn’t look like a saint candidate. No, far from it, he looked like a goon.

”Looks like your kindred Vangeace,” Silvia commented.

”Just leave alone already. Anyways, it doesn’t look like they have approached us with good intentions. What is the plan?”

”No matter who they are, we are currently protecting the Queen. Whether it be the saint candidate or even the heads of the holy institutions of Aetherion, anything or anyone that bars us from doing our duty is an enemy”.

The two high ranking knights discussed.

”Stop right there. If you come any closer, than don’t blame us for attacking,” Silvia warned again, a second time.

The saint candidate and his goons furrowed their brows. Usually, at this level of coercion, most people give up after seeing the emblem and knowing their status.

However, these people said what? They will attack him, the future saint of Luminous Church? Immediately, his face became ugly, and he couldn’t help but shout.

”You dare try to threaten me. With my authority as the saint candidate, I declare that you guys are demonically possessed. Come with me for questioning. If you resist, I will have to get the Luminous Knight order involved”.

”Luminous Knight order?” Silvia suddenly narrowed her pretty eyes at those words.

”What’s wrong? You know about that knight order??” Vangeance from the side questioned, seeing the change in the look in her eyes.

”Yeah, they are a relatively famous knight order over here in Aetherion. I have heard about small bits and pieces about them during missions”.

If they are famous, then that means the other party was no weakling. They had to have true knights who had mastered one or more transcendent states.

At this moment, while no one was paying attention, the shadow underneath the Queen quivered and separated into two before heading towards some corner of the city.

.

Meanwhile, having separated from his order, Reinhardt arrived inside a large network of underground sewers.

What was he doing here? It was, of course, because he detected a human with demonic activity on him, heading here. And so, after leaving the squad with the protection of the Queen, he headed here.

Of course, he didn’t neglect the most important person he should be escorting right now and left Karina there. Although he doubted she would have to step out, if push came to shove, she could even handle a level 9 with that demonic curse on her body.

”Still, this place is quite winding,” Reinhardt spoke to himself. After seeing the demonic human diving into the waters, he followed the latter and arrived here.

To clarify, this place was right underneath somewhere within the eastern district of the city. As the capital Aetherion sat at the basin with humongous waterfalls surrounding it from all sides, the city built itself higher every time the water level increased.

As such, there was an underground city underneath. Reinahrdt continued to dive, using the [Eyes of Divine Clarity] for clues. There was a big plot by the demons in the making, and he needed to unravel it before it was too late.

Thankfully, he soon found out where the man was headed to. It was precisely the place he had arrived at right now.

Guided by his skill, he took a few meandering turns and finally found the person he was looking for. However, at this moment, he was not alone.

”What took you so long?” There were several more figures here, all releasing slight traces of demonic energy.

”I had to make a trip to the Luminous Church. They seemed to have trouble deciphering the divine message that came from Lord Skarnyx, I mean, the seven old gods. As such, I had to break it down for them,” The man explained.

”I see, in any case, you belong to a different church; don’t make it too obvious that we are collaborating. The holy war is about to start, so we should see each other as enemies more from this point on”.

”I know”.

”By the way, how are the knight orders of all the hallowed churches and temples doing?”.

”Hehe, I just got word from the saints of the Temple of the Thousand Stars and Shrine of the Skyborn that the knights are very angry. They think that the sacred texts are a blasphemy to their faiths and their doctrines”.

”I see, it’s the same with the Cathedral of Eternal Light and Sanctuary of the Moon’s Grace. A holy war is inevitable”.

Listening to their conversation, Reinahrdt silently noted those names.

”Let’s go meet Lord Drezzle and make our reports.” And so, the two humans, no, the two demonically possessed humans dived deep into the underwater city.

Perhaps they were cautious, or maybe it was set like this to prevent any information leak, but they dived quite deep into the waters. At this level, even a knight would find some difficulty holding their breath for this long and would have to surface again to breathe.

However, Reinhardt was not only a level 10 hero, but he had even surpassed the realm of heroes, entering the divine. Naturally, his limit was something that cannot be understood with reason.

After diving down quite deep, the two demonically possessed human arrived before a space with no water. An abandoned building in ruins, stood in the middle of the place and indside, lay a demon languidly while eating something looked like a human’s heart.
