School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 227: Chapter 257: Extreme Racing Car

After an intimate moment with Li Xiao at the hotel, Chen Nan planned to continue having fun with her, but just then a ringing interrupted them; Chen Nan’s phone was ringing.

”Jiang Xiaomi? This must be a girl, huh?”

Li Xiao casually took the phone, glanced at the caller ID, and handed it to Chen Nan.

”Yeah, a friend of mine,” Chen Nan nodded and picked up the call, ”Mimi, what’s up?”

”Handsome guy, I just lost a street race and I’m so pissed off.”

Jiang Xiaomi’s coquettish voice made Chen Nan’s scalp tingle, ”Enough already, can’t you talk in a normal tone?”

Jiang Xiaomi’s tone shifted as she said, ”Alright, I just lost a race, you need to come over and win it back for me.”

”You’ve got it wrong, I’m only a novice at driving.”

”Novice my ass, you just beat me last time,” Jiang Xiaomi seemed quite irritated and insistent, ”If you don’t help me, I’ll send that video of us kissing to Huo Xinya, don’t blame me for threatening you, you’re forcing my hand.”

At that, Chen Nan immediately softened, ”Wait for me, I’ll be right there.”

”There you go, that’s more like it. Nan, you’re so cheap, I love you so much, and yet you only agree when threatened, sigh...”

”Cut the crap, where exactly are you?” Chen Nan cut her off.

”On a new road that hasn’t opened to traffic yet, I don’t know the name of the place,” Jiang Xiaomi said frustratedly, ”Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.”

”XXX Hotel.”

”Wait for me, I’ll be there in no time!”

After hanging up, Chen Nan saw Li Xiao staring at him with wide eyes, not blinking for a long time before she suddenly asked, ”Are you and her...seeing each other?”

Chen Nan hesitated for a moment, then smiled, ”If I said no, would you believe me?”

”I wouldn’t!”

”Then... if I said I was forced, would you believe that?”

”I wouldn’t!”

Chen Nan patted his forehead and said helplessly, ”Yet, I really was coerced by her.”

Li Xiao scratched her head and glared, ”Are you saying that this Jiang Xiaomi dares to force men?”

”That’s not it.” Chen Nan pondered for a long while, then added, ”Anyway, don’t overthink it, there’s nothing between us.”

Li Xiao glared at him, pouting, obviously not convinced by Chen Nan’s words. After a while, she punched him in the chest and said annoyedly, ”Humph, you’re such a flirt, give me your car keys.”

”Why?”

”You’re off with another woman anyway, I need to go home. What, you expect me to walk?”

Chen Nan handed over his car keys honestly, and the two of them left the hotel together.

Watching Li Xiao drive away in the old Jetta, a look of loss crossed his face as he turned around, and Chen Nan felt a wave of guilt. He couldn’t promise her a future yet had taken her body, stolen her heart; indeed, he was an asshole.

If he could do it all over again, Chen Nan wished he had never met Li Xiao instead of hurting her like he was doing now.

With a long sigh, Chen Nan lit a cigarette and stood at the roadside. After more than ten minutes, a red Ferrari F430 roared up, stopping by the curb. Jiang Xiaomi waved at him, ”Handsome guy, come on over, let this lady give you a kiss.”

Ignoring Jiang Xiaomi’s crazy talk, Chen Nan pulled the door open and sat down.

Seeing Chen Nan silent, Jiang Xiaomi teased him, ”What’s wrong with you? I’ve driven all the way to pick you up, and you’re giving me the cold shoulder. Who are you putting on that act for?”

Chen Nan wasn’t giving her the cold shoulder; rather, he was just thinking about the things he owed Li Xiao and felt heavy-hearted.

”Enough talk; who are you racing against? It’s getting dark, just take me there so I can lose and go home to sleep,” said Chen Nan as he lit another cigarette.

Jiang Xiaomi rolled her eyes, ”I called you to win the race, not to lose.”

”Win then, who’s the opponent?” Chen Nan was somewhat puzzled, ”Your skills aren’t weak; whoever beat you must be somebody. Don’t tell me it’s a professional racer!”

”Bullshit racer, she’s just a damn woman!”

Chen Nan was taken aback, ”A woman?”

”Yeah, just some nosy damn cop who I’d want to tear apart,” Jiang Xiaomi vented.

”Why are you racing with her?”

Jiang Xiaomi spoke in frustration, ”That damn woman is a criminal cop, but she just had to meddle with my speeding. I didn’t stand for it, so we got into a fight, and then...”

”And then what?” Chen Nan asked.

”I lost, couldn’t beat her,” Jiang Xiaomi said, somewhat defeated, ”Losing to a woman, I naturally couldn’t stand it, so I challenged her to a race, but I didn’t expect... I lost again.”

Chen Nan sensed a bad feeling.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that the nosy criminal police officer was Qin Yixuan.

”I hope it’s not that crazy woman!” Chen Nan flicked away his cigarette butt and sighed.

Jiang Xiaomi glanced at him, ”What did you say?”

”The woman you’re talking about, she resembles a friend of mine.” Chen Nan pointed forward, ”Let’s go!”

”Hmph, whether she’s your friend or not, you must help me win against her! Otherwise, I’m going to lose face!” Jiang Xiaomi said, pressing the accelerator to the floor, and the car surged forward instantly.

All the way, Chen Nan prayed silently, hoping the opponent was not Qin Yixuan, for that woman was too wild.

But heaven was not on his side.

When they arrived at the new racing road, Chen Nan saw a police car parked by the roadside, with a license plate number that belonged to Qin Yixuan under the illumination of the lights.

”What a small world!”

Chen Nan slapped his forehead and got out of the car with resignation.

Qin Yixuan was sitting in the police car listening to music when Jiang Xiaomi walked over and knocked on the door, ”Hey, you stinky woman, come out. My man is here.”

With a look of scorn on her face, Qin Yixuan got out of the car and burst into laughter when she saw Chen Nan beside the Ferrari, pointing at him and saying, ”Hey, Mr. Chen, you’re this mad girl’s man?”

Chen Nan walked over with an expression of helplessness, ”Don’t listen to her nonsense, just a buddy, like you and me.”

”So you’re here to stand up for her?” Qin Yixuan asked.

Chen Nan smiled awkwardly, ”Since we’re all friends, and besides, it’s already dark, there’s no need for a fight to the death, right? How about we shake hands, make peace, and go have a few drinks?”

”Make peace, my ass!”

”I must settle the score with her today!”

Seeing both of them resolute, Chen Nan was quite helpless, ”Settle what score? Both of you are female, isn’t that obvious?”

”Bullshit!” Qin Yixuan glared and said, ”Mr. Chen, don’t muddy the waters. I’ll never rest until I beat her. If you’re helping her, then let’s have a fair race. If not, cool off to the side. If I don’t beat her to a pulp, I won’t be called Qin! I’ve never seen a woman dare to oppose me like this in my life.”

Chen Nan finally understood the meaning of ’One mountain cannot contain two tigers’.

These two female tigers meeting each other, if not mutual admiration, it was a life-and-death confrontation. Judging by the current situation, they’d chosen the latter path, with reconciliation nowhere in sight.

”Nan, if you don’t help me win today, it won’t be long before the news reaches Huo Xinya!” Jiang Xiaomi said.

Very unwillingly, Chen Nan turned to Qin Yixuan and said, ”Buddy, let’s race!”

”You rookie, dare to race with me?” Qin Yixuan’s eyes widened in disbelief.

She clearly remembered that Chen Nan was just a novice, whose driving license she helped obtain. Yet, this rookie was challenging her to a race? Wasn’t he just asking for a beating?

Chen Nan shrugged, ”Just a friendly game between brothers, what’s there to be afraid of? By the way, what are the rules of your race?”

Jiang Xiaomi quickly pointed at the Ferrari and said, ”You both drive the same car, over the same course. Whoever takes the least time wins.”

Chen Nan casually placed his hand on Qin Yixuan’s shoulder, ”Bro, let’s get in the car then.”

”Helping this mad girl against me, and you still have the nerve to call yourself a brother?” Qin Yixuan glared at Chen Nan and elbowed him hard in the chest. Chen Nan cried out in pain, clutching his chest and rubbing it, ”You’re too harsh. My ribs might be broken.”

”Serve you right for being a traitor!” Qin Yixuan said angrily, ”If you have the guts, bet with me. If you lose, you’ll become my slave. Whenever I say go east, you cannot go west, and if I tell you to hit Zhang San, you cannot hit Li Si. If I lose, I’ll become your slave. Dare to bet?”

”Why?”

”Because I can’t stand you, and I want to tame you!”

Chen Nan let out a bitter laugh and nodded, ”Whatever you say.”

Seeing Chen Nan agree, Qin Yixuan’s mood lifted, ”Good, just don’t back out later.”

”A man’s word is his bond, once given, it cannot be recalled.”

The two got into Jiang Xiaomi’s Ferrari, with Qin Yixuan in the driver’s seat.

”I just ran this road with that mad girl. I’m more familiar with the course than you. To be fair, I’ll speed through it first. Once you’re familiar with the road, you can speed back. The one who takes the least time wins.”

Chen Nan nodded, ”No problem.”

Qin Yixuan started the car and revved the engine a few times, then shifted into gear, released the brake, and pressed the accelerator hard. In an instant, the wheels screeched against the pavement, and the car shot out like a red streak.

”Not bad skills!”

After seeing Qin Yixuan drift perfectly around a bend, Chen Nan said with a laugh.

”Of course,” Qin Yixuan replied without any modesty, one hand on the steering wheel and the other turning the music on, saying proudly, ”But you’re too late to recognize the prowess. The race has already started, and even if you give up now, you’ll still have to be my slave.”
