School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 225: Chapter 253 Deceiving a Wife _2

Chen Nan looked up at Lan Yuqin and suddenly grinned, saying, ”What, you care about me now?”

Lan Yuqin glared at him and retorted, ”I’m your teacher, how could I not care about you?”

Seeing Lan Yuqin’s reaction, Chen Nan felt amused.

He touched his nose and teasingly said, ”If I were poisoned to death, would you feel guilty?”

”I definitely would!”

As she spoke, Lan Yuqin quickly turned to him and asked urgently, ”You... You’re not really going to die, are you?”

”I will!”

”Ah? Then you better stop absorbing it and let go of me.”

Lan Yuqin wanted to push him away, but unfortunately, her acupoint had been pressed, and she couldn’t move at all.

Chen Nan shook his head and said, ”It’s too late now, I’ve absorbed all the snake venom. My head is dizzy; I guess I’m about to die.”

When Lan Yuqin heard this, her face turned pale with fright, and she was about to cry.

She had never imagined that this rogue student would recklessly risk his own life to save her. ”Why are you so foolish? You didn’t have to save me!”

Chen Nan shook his head, pretending to be weak, and said, ”You are my beautiful teacher, I can’t bear to let you die.”

”Can you be serious for once? You can’t die, quickly unblock my acupoint, I’ll take you to see a doctor,” Lan Yuqin pleaded with a crying voice.

Chen Nan looked at her and smiled, ”It’s okay, I’m willing.”

”I don’t want you to die, I won’t let you die. Quickly unblock my acupoint, I’ll call 120, I’ll take you to see a doctor!”

Seeing Lan Yuqin so anxious, Chen Nan struggled to suppress a laugh. It turned out that this laugh-craving witch also had her cute moments. ”It’s no use, I’m beyond saving. Just promise me one thing, okay?”

”Wha... What is it? Tell me, I’ll definitely agree.”

Seeing Lan Yuqin’s anxious face, Chen Nan couldn’t help but tease her, ”Will you be my wife?”

”You! I’m your teacher!”

Lan Yuqin glared at Chen Nan and hesitated before saying, ”You’re in this state, and you still have the mood for jokes. Quickly unblock my acupoint, I’ll call 120, the emergency number. They’ll definitely save you.”

”Don’t call, I... I’m about to die, and... and there’s no time to wait for them to come.” Chen Nan feigned a half-dead appearance, grabbing Lan Yuqin’s hand and said, ”I have just this one wish, can’t you fulfill it for me?”

Lan Yuqin, frantic, was somewhat pale and stammered, ”But, I... I’m your teacher!”

Chen Nan collapsed to the ground, half-closed his eyes, and said, ”I’m a dying man, and you still care about that, sigh, nevermind, at most... I only have ten more seconds to live, you can’t be forced to agree.”

”Don’t make it hard for me, okay? I definitely won’t let you die. Tell me how to save you!”

Lan Yuqin looked at Chen Nan desperately, her heart suddenly filled with fear as if afraid of losing something very important in life.

I can’t let him die; I absolutely cannot let him die because of me!

Lan Yuqin roared in her heart and said loudly, ”Quickly unblock my acupoint, there must be a way to save you. Tell me, how exactly am I supposed to save you? Speak up!”

Chen Nan opened his eyes a sliver, and seeing Lan Yuqin crying, he felt an urge to burst into laughter. It turned out that teasing the teacher was so much fun, especially teasing a beautiful teacher like Lan Yuqin, it was extremely satisfying.

”Don’t die, speak up!”

Lan Yuqin grabbed Chen Nan’s clothes and shook him continuously. However, Chen Nan, heartlessly determined to tease her to the end, lay there without making a sound, like a dead person.

”I agree to it, I agree to everything, please wake up!”

Lan Yuqin said anxiously, but no sooner had she finished speaking than Chen Nan’s voice suddenly sounded—

”Really?”

”Of course it’s true, it’s so good that you’re awake...”

Lan Yuqin was filled with joy, but then, mid-sentence, she felt that something was off; wasn’t this guy about to die? So how could his voice still sound so strong?

Looking at the bright smile on Chen Nan’s face, Lan Yuqin quickly realized what was happening and glared at him furiously, exclaiming, ”You! You you you you...”

”Me? What about me?” Chen Nan scratched his head, smiling cheerfully.

”Weren’t you poisoned?”

”I was just kidding, did you take it seriously?”

”You!”

Lan Yuqin stared at Chen Nan, her face tinged with anger. However, remembering that Chen Nan had just saved her, she suppressed her fury and said coldly, ”Unblock my acupoint.”

Chen Nan smiled mischievously as he prodded her body and said, ”And you won’t go back on the promise you just made to me, will you?”

”What did I promise you?”

”To be my wife, of course!”

Lan Yuqin gave him a fierce look and said, ”You bastard, dare to play tricks on your teacher, and you have the nerve to bring it up?”

”Don’t you think it’s fun?”

”You asshole!”

Lan Yuqin glared angrily at Chen Nan and then stood up and quickly ran toward the outside of the bushes.

Watching Lan Yuqin flee in panic, Chen Nan shouted with a laugh, ”Hey, my dear Teacher Lan, don’t run, be a person of your word, you can’t go back on it!”

”Drop dead!”

Lan Yuqin didn’t look back and sped away as if avoiding the plague.

Chen Nan gave a wry smile, shook his head, pulled a vine and bundled up the dry branches he had gathered, then strode away with them in hand.

When Chen Nan got back to the campfire, everyone was still enthusiastically grilling seafood, eating happily. However, Lan Yuqin was gone, having moved to another group.

Chen Nan understood that probably because of what had just happened, she felt awkward and therefore didn’t dare to join this group again.

Chen Nan couldn’t help feeling immensely proud as he thought about how he had teased Lan Yuqin, and she couldn’t lash out. He wondered, who among all the high school students in the world would dare to tease their homeroom teacher?

Only he—Chen Nan! He had the guts to do so!

Although he felt proud inside, Chen Nan wouldn’t boast about such a thing because it was certainly not honorable.

...

After about half an hour, when everyone had almost finished eating, Huo Xinya sighed and said, ”I’m full now, you guys continue.” She then stood up and left.

Because they had caught quite a lot of seafood earlier, there was still half of it left. Though Huo Xinya had left, the others were still eating with gusto, especially Zhu Bajie, the foodie, who claimed he would finish all the food before he would consider sleeping.

The text message alert sounded, and Huo Xinya sent Chen Nan a message—

”I’m on the rocks to the right. Come over, let’s talk.”

After reading the message, Chen Nan stood up and walked toward the right.

About thirty meters away, he saw a pile of rocks about two meters high where Huo Xinya was sitting, enjoying the breeze and the sea view under the moonlight.

Chen Nan leaped lightly and landed on the rocks.

”Watching the sea alone must be boring, huh?” Chen Nan sat down next to her.

Huo Xinya stared into the distance at the sea’s surface under the moonlight, taking a while before asking, ”Are you fickle-hearted?”

Fickle-hearted?

Chen Nan was confused for a moment, ”What do you mean?”

Huo Xinya shook her head with a smile and said, ”Nothing, just asking. Answer me.”

”I don’t know,” replied Chen Nan honestly.

Huo Xinya turned to him, her eyes fixed on Chen Nan for quite a while before saying, ”Do you know why I fought with Jiang Xiaomi today?”

Chen Nan had a bad feeling, ”Wh... why?”

”You’re stammering. Feeling guilty?”

Huo Xinya spoke calmly and didn’t explain why she had a feud with Jiang Xiaomi. Instead, she looked up at the stars in the sky.

Chen Nan did feel somewhat guilty because there was something going on between him and Jiang Xiaomi that was being concealed from Huo Xinya, ”What are you trying to say?”

”Some things don’t need to be said out loud,” Huo Xinya shook her head and sighed, ”I have a question for you, if one day, you fell in love with someone you shouldn’t, what would you do?”

”If they’re someone I shouldn’t love, how could I fall for them?”

”I’m talking hypothetically.”

Huo Xinya turned her gaze to him, seemingly waiting for his response.

”Without experiencing it firsthand, I’m afraid no one can answer that question,” Chen Nan chuckled, ”Why? Have you fallen for someone you shouldn’t?”
