School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 170: Chapter 193: Token of Love?

Chen Nan gave her a glance, ”Don’t look at me with those resentful eyes, as if I’ve wronged you somehow.”

Jiang Xiaomi glared at him fiercely, ”Mr. Chen, don’t think that just because you saved me, I should be grateful. Right now, I feel like slapping you ten times hard enough to turn your face into a pig’s head.”

”Would a few slaps relieve your anger?” Chen Nan grinned, ”Or you perhaps want to kill me?”

Jiang Xiaomi snorted coldly and turned her head, ignoring him.

Chen Nan smiled and said, ”Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. Why were those people trying to kill you?”

Jiang Xiaomi paid him no attention.

Chen Nan patted her shoulder, ”Hey, don’t be so petty. You look quite tough, it was just a few kisses, what’s the big deal? If you feel wronged, you can kiss me back. Come on, kiss me on the lips, but be gentle, okay? Don’t bite off my lips.”

Jiang Xiaomi punched his arm, ”Go die!”

”Finally willing to talk,” Chen Nan put his hand on her shoulder, ”Tell me, why do they want to kill you?”

”Apologize first, then I’ll tell you.”

Chen Nan was stunned for a moment, ”Why should I apologize?”

”Bastard, you forced a kiss on me, ruined my first kiss. Shouldn’t you apologize?” Jiang Xiaomi said angrily.

Chen Nan shrugged, indifferent, ”Was that a forced kiss? I saved you, just taking a little reward, such a fair deal, how did it turn into a forced kiss?”

”You’re shameless!”

”Shameless my ass, if you weren’t good-looking, I wouldn’t have bothered kissing you!” Chen Nan said, ”Hurry up and decide, are you going to tell me or not?”

Jiang Xiaomi rolled her eyes and grudgingly said, ”Those people were from the Wei family. Lately, they’ve been competing with my dad over business and ended up suffering losses at my dad’s hands, so they came after me.”

Although Chen Nan hadn’t been in Ningjiang City for long, he had heard about the four major families here: the Wei family, the Jiang family, the Zhao family, and the Wang family. Of them, the Wei family was the strongest, the Jiang and Zhao families were relatively weaker, and the Wang family was at the bottom.

Looking at Jiang Xiaomi, Chen Nan asked curiously, ”You said your dad is competing with the Wei family for business?”

Jiang Xiaomi nodded, ”He is the Family Head of the Jiang family.”

Chen Nan suddenly realized, no wonder this Jiang Xiaomi, a girl, was listed as one of the Four School Bullies in school, ”No wonder you’re so arrogant at school, so you have a powerful background!”

”Shut up!”

Jiang Xiaomi glared at him, angrily saying, ”I rely on my own fists, I have never bullied anyone using my status, do you think I’m like that useless Zhao Ming?”

Chen Nan shrugged and said, ”You’ve mostly healed from your injuries. Let me take you home.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xiaomi suddenly realized her wound wasn’t painful anymore. She hastily touched it, only to find that it had healed, which shocked her, ”What kind of medicine is this?”

”Immortal Elixir!”

Chen Nan started the car with a smile, but suddenly a ringing sound came through, his phone rang.

The call was from Su Qingqing, urging him to come home quickly.

Chen Nan responded vaguely to Su Qingqing then hung up the phone and drove Jiang Xiaomi home.

”Hey, what on earth is this medicine?” Jiang Xiaomi punched Chen Nan’s arm again and asked.

Chen Nan glanced at her but did not respond.

Jiang Xiaomi frowned and shouted louder, ”Are you deaf? I’m talking to you!”

Chen Nan instantly tapped her head lightly, ”Little miss, I am your brother, do you talk to your brother like this? So rude.”

”You!”

Massaging her head, Jiang Xiaomi stared at Chen Nan with a sulky face but felt helpless; after all, she had lost a car race to Chen Nan earlier in the day.

Chen Nan turned his head, grinning at her, ”Stop looking at me like that, I don’t like you.”

Jiang Xiaomi almost choked on those words, deciding to turn away and stop looking at him.

Although Chen Nan had saved her, just seeing his smug smile made Jiang Xiaomi extremely irritated, even feeling the urge to beat him up badly. This guy was just too annoying.

Rascal, beast, foul-mouthed!

Jiang Xiaomi muttered internally, not forgetting to give Chen Nan a rolling eye.

Under Jiang Xiaomi’s direction, twenty minutes later, Chen Nan dropped her off at her front door.

The car stopped in front of a luxurious villa, and Jiang Xiaomi turned her head to look at Chen Nan, her tone much gentler than before, ”Hey, want to come in for a visit?”

Chen Nan shook his head, ”Just get out of the car, stop clinging to my car, I need to get back quickly!”

Jiang Xiaomi felt more frustrated. Usually, boys did everything possible to please her, eager to visit her house every day, but Chen Nan was different. He didn’t even want to come in when he was at the doorstep, deeming it a waste of time.

The more Jiang Xiaomi thought about it, the more upset she became, glaring fiercely at Chen Nan, ”If you don’t want to come, then don’t. Who cares to stay in your crappy car, huh!”

Giving Chen Nan another rolling eye, Jiang Xiaomi pulled open the car door, got out, then slammed the door with a ”bang” and stormed toward her house.

Crappy car?

Chen Nan gave a wry smile and shook his head, not saying anything, then turned the car around and drove away.

Some words are said without intent, but the listeners take them to heart.

Jiang Xiaomi had just made a casual remark, but to Chen Nan, it conveyed a different meaning.

Just as she rushed to her front door, Jiang Xiaomi realized that Chen Nan had left without a word. She paused, scratched her head, reviewed what she’d just said, and felt suddenly guilty, as if she had been too harsh.

”Hey, Mr. Chen, stop right there!”

She shouted at the distant sight of his car. However, Chen Nan’s car was as noisy as a tractor, and with the sound of the rain, he couldn’t hear Jiang Xiaomi’s shouts.

”Jerk, are you ignoring me on purpose!”

Jiang Xiaomi clenched her fists and dashed through the pouring rain to her own vehicle, a Ferrari parked nearby.

”Mimi, what are you doing out so late?” Just then, the villa’s gate opened, and a middle-aged man stood in the doorway. It was Jiang Xiaomi’s father, Jiang Tian, the head of one of the four great families of Ningjiang City—the Jiang family.

”Dad, I’m chasing someone. I’ll be back soon.”

After Jiang Xiaomi got into her car, she started it up and floored the accelerator, chasing in the direction Chen Nan had gone.

Although her driving skills were not as good as Chen Nan’s, her car was elite enough. After pursuing him for a couple of miles, she caught up with Chen Nan. ”Mr. Chen, stop right there!” Jiang Xiaomi shouted out her window at him.

Chen Nan stepped on the brakes and stopped. ”Is there anything else?”

Jiang Xiaomi was silent for a moment before she bit her teeth and said, ”Sorry, I was wrong earlier.”

Chen Nan looked her up and down for a while before saying, ”Are you sick? You chased me this far just to say that?”

”No kidding, what did you think?”

”I thought you had fallen in love with me and were confessing,” he said.

”Go to hell!”

Jiang Xiaomi grabbed a perfume bottle hanging in the car and threw it at Chen Nan.

Catching the perfume bottle, Chen Nan laughed, ”Is this a love token you’re giving me?”

”Get lost, get lost right away!”

Jiang Xiaomi roared, then started the car, turned it around, said ”Thanks!” and sped off pressing the gas pedal.

Chen Nan stood puzzled for a moment then touched his nose, ”This crazy lady, she’s somewhat interesting.” He casually threw the perfume bottle on the dashboard and drove back home.

By the time Chen Nan got home, it was already 11:30 p.m., and the several beauties in the house hadn’t gone to bed yet; all were watching TV in the living room.

”Great, cousin’s finally back!”

Liu Tiantian joyfully exclaimed, leaping up from the sofa.

The other beauties also had gleaming eyes, giving him fiery glances that made Chen Nan shiver as if preyed upon by venomous beasts. ”You... why haven’t you gone to bed?” Chen Nan tentatively asked.

Su Qingqing handed Chen Nan a freshly peeled apple, smiling cheekily, ”Here you go, you silly, you’ve been busy all day, treat yourself.”

Chen Nan was slightly baffled, ”You... don’t have any schemes, do you?”

”How could we, our morals are so high!” the beauties said in unison.

Chen Nan scratched his head, feeling something was off but didn’t think too much into it, took the apple with thanks, and started eating, ”Speaking of which, you usually sleep at this time, why are you still watching TV tonight?”

”Cousin, your breakfast yesterday was so delicious, we’ve been waiting for you to come back and make some supper,” Liu Tiantian said cheerily.

Chen Nan suddenly realized.

No wonder they offered him an apple as soon as he got home; indeed, when there is no regard for return, there’s either deep plotting or outright thievery!

”Don’t frown; you’ve already eaten your apple, and we’re still starving over here. Wouldn’t you feel guilty not making some supper?” Su Qingqing winked, looking like her plot had succeeded.

”You!”

Chen Nan wanted to throw an apple at her but, lifting his hand, ultimately couldn’t bring himself to do it.

”Beauty is a curse! Sneaky and cunning!”

Chen Nan bit fiercely into the apple, tossed the core, and stalked off to the kitchen, feeling miserable. He really didn’t know what bad karma he had accumulated in his past life to end up living with these alluring creatures; it was pure torment!

In the living room, the laughter of the triumphant beauties echoed.

...

Monday came in a blink, and early in the morning Chen Nan went to school with two young beauties.

Upon arriving at the classroom, not many people were there yet. Chen Nan instinctively glanced at Huo Xinya’s empty seat; she hadn’t arrived yet.

”Brother, come outside for a sec.”

Zhu Bajie suddenly ran over, looking mysterious, and dragged Chen Nan outside.

Chen Nan was startled, ”What’s up?”

”You’ll see when you come out.”

Once they were in the hallway, Zhang Jiangyi was waiting for them; he came over with a serious face and said, ”Bro, we’ve got trouble today, I fear we might end up in a nasty fight.”

”What do you mean?” Chen Nan frowned.
