School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 154: Chapter 176 Confession!

Chen Nan sat in the living room, contentedly lit a cigarette, and looked towards the bathroom, from which Su Qingqing’s yelps of surprise kept coming.

Five minutes later, Su Qingqing emerged, her clothes stained with oil but her face was washed clean, her eyelashes and hair still dotted with droplets of water, looking beautiful and enchanting, like a lotus flower rising out of the water.

”Yo, the ugly duckling has turned into a swan,” Chen Nan said with a chuckle.

Puffing her cheeks, Su Qingqing charged at him with bared teeth and claws, ”You stinky idiot, dare to laugh at me! I’ll strangle you.”

Chen Nan dodged swiftly, laughing, ”No, no, no, if you strangle me, who’s going to cook for you? And who’s going to carry you to school from now on?”

With a giggle, Su Qingqing said, ”You don’t need to cook anymore, I’ve already done it. Let’s eat.” With that, she hopped and skipped to the kitchen, as lively and adorable as a spunky little rabbit.

”This little menace...”

Watching her retreating figure, Chen Nan touched his nose and followed her to the kitchen.

When Chen Nan reached the kitchen doorway, Su Qingqing was just bringing out two dishes, but Chen Nan stared at the dark items in the plates for a long while, unable to decipher exactly what they were.

”This... what dish is this?” Chen Nan asked, pointing at a black pancake about the size of a rice bowl.

Setting the plates on the table, Su Qingqing scratched her head and said, ”Um... it’s fried eggs.” She then picked up a pair of chopsticks and handed them to Chen Nan, ”Try it, see how it tastes.”

Looking at the black pancake in the plate, Chen Nan didn’t dare to take the chopsticks, ”Maybe... you should try it first?”

Su Qingqing pouted, her watery eyes staring unblinkingly at Chen Nan, ”This is the first time I’ve cooked, made especially for you. Would you really feel good not eating it?”

”I...”

Chen Nan was on the verge of tears; he seriously doubted whether he would still be alive after eating that thing.

Trembling, he took the chopsticks, picked up the fried egg and looked at it—this egg wasn’t just black; it was horrifyingly black! He hesitated for a very long time but couldn’t bring himself to take a bite.

”Come on, eat it!” Su Qingqing stamped her little foot and looked at him with an adorably dissatisfied chiding.

Is this even edible?

Chen Nan put the fried egg back on the plate, bit his lip, took a small piece, and stuffed it into his mouth without chewing, swallowing it straight down.

Face full of anticipation, Su Qingqing asked, ”Is it good?”

”Mm, delicious, really delicious!” Chen Nan forcefully suppressed the burnt taste in his mouth, giving a thumbs up in praise.

”If it’s tasty, eat it all up!” Su Qingqing said with an excited face.

”Thump...”

Chen Nan’s legs gave out, and he sat down on the stool, crying out weakly, ”Don’t, such delicious fried eggs, you should try some yourself.”

Pushing the plate towards him, Su Qingqing said, ”I made them especially for you, so you eat them. I’m going to serve the rice.” With that, she stood up and dashed into the kitchen.

”Buddy can’t handle such special treatment!”

Chen Nan looked at the fried egg for a long time, still without the courage to eat it, but thinking that it was, after all, something the little menace had struggled to make, it would be ungrateful not to eat. After hesitating for a while, he closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, swallowing it down.

Su Qingqing came out with two bowls of rice just in time to witness this scene, feeling a warm sentiment, ”You idiot, it’s so burnt, and you really ate it!”

”If it’s your kind intentions, how could I not eat?” Chen Nan teased, ”Quick, give me a bowl of rice to rinse my mouth.”

Su Qingqing burst out laughing and passed him a bowl of white rice.

Chen Nan took the rice and was instantly dumbfounded, ”This... is this porridge you’ve cooked?”

Su Qingqing scratched her head, a bit embarrassed, ”I just added a little too much water.”

”Is this just a little too much? It’s a lot too much.” Chen Nan shook his head helplessly and gulped down the entire bowl of ”porridge”.

Su Qingqing pursed her lips and snickered, starting to eat the ”porridge”.

...

After the meal, Su Qingqing took a bath, changing out of her clothes that were stained with oil, then dragged Chen Nan outside.

”Jiang used to chase after you all the time, this time I’m going to seek revenge on your behalf.” Su Qingqing said with a giggle.

Chen Nan gave her a glance, ”If I remember correctly, when she chased after me, there seemed to be a little girl cheering her on, saying ’Go Millet!’ My memory isn’t too good, and I don’t remember who that girl was, do you?”

Su Qingqing pouted, sticking her tongue out at him, and her petite frame leaped onto Chen Nan’s back, ”How dare you call me a little girl, you’re going to carry me as a punishment.”

Chen Nan slapped his forehead, ”Look at my memory, it turns out that girl was you! I thought it was some other little girl!”

”You dare say it!”

Su Qingqing, dissatisfied, grabbed his ear, ”You big dummy, believe it or not, I’ll twist your ear off!”

Chen Nan glared, speaking seriously, ”Are ears something you can just touch? Let go, get down!”

Su Qingqing batted her eyelashes, her chin resting on his shoulder, and said with a mischievous grin, ”Are you mad? Hehe, even if you’re mad I won’t get down, try shaking me off.”Chen Nan gave a wry smile, carrying her toward the parking lot.

”Dummy, when we find your junior sister, will you leave us?” Su Qingqing asked with an unusual expression, gently stroking his ear.

Chen Nan was momentarily stunned, falling silent.

He had never thought about this matter. As for this girl who liked to cling onto his back without any reason, Chen Nan indeed had a fondness for her, and if one day he suddenly left, he might really be uncomfortable.

”I don’t know,” Chen Nan said, shaking his head.

Su Qingqing’s arms suddenly tightened, her voice sounding a bit forlorn, ”Dummy, if you really leave, I’ll definitely miss you.”

”I’ll miss you too,” Chen Nan said.

Su Qingqing rested her chin on his shoulder, her eyes gazing at the side of Chen Nan’s face, a smile involuntarily surfacing. After a moment of silence, she asked, ”You like your junior sister in your heart, can you tell me, what does it feel like to love someone?”

Chen Nan turned his head to look at her, ”What’s gotten into you? Why are you bringing up this all of a sudden?”

Looking into Chen Nan’s eyes, Su Qingqing felt a fluster in her heart, her heartbeat quickening. She hurriedly looked away and mustered up her courage to say, ”I just want to know if I have fallen for... fallen for...”

The last word ”you,” Su Qingqing ultimately didn’t have the courage to say.

Although she was lively and always joking around, it didn’t mean she was thoughtless. She knew that Chen Nan’s heart only had room for his junior sister, and if she voiced her feelings, she feared he might start to distance himself from her, possibly ruining even the relationship they had now.

It was just speculation, but she didn’t dare to take the risk.

Chen Nan seemed to catch on to something and stopped to look at her, asking, ”Who have you fallen for?”

Looking into Chen Nan’s eyes, Su Qingqing saw her own reflection. Despite summoning a great deal of resolve, she still appeared somewhat bashful as she said, ”It’s... it’s you!”
