School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 48: Chapter 55 Godlike Teammates

Chapter 48 -55 Godlike Teammates

Having found a secluded corner to change into his basketball outfit, Chen Nan returned to the court.

Lan Yuqin nodded in approval and said with satisfaction, “Not bad, you look quite spirited.”

“Isn’t that obvious? After all, I am this handsome,” Chen Nan said as he puffed out his chest, with the word “smug” clearly written all over his face.

“Keep being narcissistic. If you don’t turn the situation around later, just watch how I’ll deal with you,” Lan Yuqin approached him and whispered.

Hearing this, Chen Nan instantly felt helpless, “But I really don’t know how to play.”

“Stop pretending. You’ll be replacing Tian Piyan later,” Lan Yuqin glanced at the court and said, “The second half is about to start in a few minutes. Get ready quickly and make sure you play well later.”

After finishing, without waiting for Chen Nan to reply, Lan Yuqin walked away.

Chen Nan felt a strong urge to cry but had no tears; he didn’t even know the rules of the game, how on earth was he supposed to play?

He glanced at Su Qingqing, who was chatting enthusiastically with a few girls nearby, and strode over to her, glaring, “Su Qingqing, get over here!”

“Hee hee, silly, you’re here.”

Completely unfazed by Chen Nan’s tone, Su Qingqing happily ran over with a smile.

“You troublesome thing, are you satisfied only when you’ve driven me to my grave?” He looked at her excited expression and felt helpless. Time and again he had helped her, but this little wretch just kept digging him into a deeper hole…

Scratching her head with a puzzled look, Su Qingqing asked, “Where did I trap you?”

“Why did you blabber to Lan Yu unnecessarily? Now she’s telling me to get on the field and turn the situation around, or else she’ll penalize me by making me copy the school rules two hundred times—two hundred times!”

“Then just win back the game. With your Kung Fu skills, that shouldn’t be a problem,” Su Qingqing said carelessly.

“What’s the use of being good at Kung Fu? I don’t even know the rules of the court, how can I win?” Chen Nan looked at her and said, “No matter what, this mess is your doing, and if we lose this time, those two hundred times copying the school rules are on you.”

With a pout, Su Qingqing replied unhappily, “What rules could there be? Isn’t it just about snatching the ball and throwing it into the basket? With your Kung Fu skills, you’re sure to win.”

“Just shoot the ball? No other rules?”

Scratching her head again, Su Qingqing said, “I’m not sure, but that’s what I see them doing.”

Chen Nan pondered for a while, feeling that what Su Qingqing said was unreliable. If there were no rules, then why was there a penalty for fouls? Just as he was about to ask his classmates on the team, the referee blew the whistle, signaling the start of the second half.

“If we lose, you’re copying the school rules,” he said.

Leaving those words for Su Qingqing, Chen Nan turned and ran towards the court.

Watching Chen Nan’s retreating figure, Su Qingqing stuck out her tongue, “In your dreams!”

Once on the court, Chen Nan saw three familiar faces—Zhu Bajie, Xiao Jiji, and Zhao Ming.

However, Zhu Bajie and Xiao Jiji were his classmates and players on his team, while Zhao Ming was from the opposing team, Class Twelve.

“Big brother, I heard from Coach Lan that you’re even better than Jordan. We’re counting on you!” Zhu Bajie said excitedly. Finally, there was a master on their team!

Apart from Xiao Jiji, the other two players from his class looked at Chen Nan with excited faces and gave him a thumbs-up.

Though Chen Nan wanted to ask about the court rules, seeing their admiration for him, he didn’t have the heart to do so and could only force a smile. He then looked at Zhu Bajie and said, “You’re so chubby and still playing? Can you even run?”

Zhu Bajie grinned, “I’m a master at playing guard. With this build of mine, I just stand here and no one can get past.”

Chen Nan was speechless.

While the two were talking, the game had already restarted. Unfortunately, Class Twelve had seized the ball.

“Big brother, hurry up and snatch the ball back!” Zhu Bajie shouted excitedly.

Chen Nan glanced at Zhao Ming, who was dribbling the ball, and strode forward, heading straight for him. Even though he couldn’t use his Qinggong in front of so many people, he knew that just a slight increase in speed would surpass those students.

In the blink of an eye, Chen Nan had rushed in front of Zhao Ming, blocking his path, “Give me the ball.”

“Give it to you? Are you an idiot?”

Zhao Ming let out a cold laugh, faking left and right with a series of deceptive moves, then swiftly dashed to the right.

Chen Nan simply stepped across and reached out his hand to snatch the ball from Zhao Ming, shook it in his hand, and said with a smile, “You idiot, can’t even hold onto the ball, and you still want to play? Get off the court quickly and stop embarrassing yourself here.”

Zhao Ming hadn’t figured out what had just happened when he realized the ball was gone from his hands. After being stunned, he cursed loudly, “Fuck!” and charged straight at Chen Nan.

As a member of the school team, Zhao Ming was very confident in his basketball skills. He thought that losing the ball to Chen Nan was just a fluke.

Off the court, Lan Yuqin also nodded silently, revealing a slight smile. Chen Nan truly was an expert, seizing the ball as soon as he got on. With him around, it seemed there really was a chance for a comeback in the second half.

However, just as this thought flashed through her mind, Lan Yuqin was shocked the next instant.

Because Chen Nan took a shot!

He shot from the middle of the court!

And moreover, he aimed for the opponent’s basket!

Lan Yuqin almost fell flat on the ground; what on earth was he doing? If the shot missed, it wouldn’t matter, but if it went in, those three points would belong to the opponents!

Please don’t go in, please don’t go in!

Lan Yuqin prayed in her heart, but the next second, a “plop” sound came, as the basketball dropped through the hoop.

Lan Yuqin felt like she was going to collapse; standing in the middle of the court, he actually scored!

For a moment, the entire basketball court fell silent, not only the players from both teams were wide-eyed and shocked, but even the surrounding spectators were completely dumbfounded, staring at Chen Nan as if they were looking at a monster.

The calm was just a prelude to the coming storm. Soon, the court was filled with raucous laughter.

“Is this Class Nine’s hope? Too funny.”

“Damn, he’s really stupid, giving us free points!”

“A talent, a top-notch talent indeed!”

The students from Class Twelve, whether they were spectators or players, all burst into laughter.

As for the students from Class Nine, they looked at each other bewilderedly. Chen Nan’s accuracy was indeed impressive, scoring from the center of the court, but… why aim for the opponent’s basket?

Surveying the laughing crowd around him, Chen Nan felt quite perplexed; hadn’t he scored? That should mean points for them; why were the people from Class Twelve so happy?

“Bro, what are you doing? You shot at the wrong basket.”

Zhang Jiangyi, Class Nine’s sports representative, walked over and helplessly said to Chen Nan.

Chen Nan finally understood; it turned out there was a difference between the baskets. After glancing at Zhang Jiangyi, Chen Nan said dejectedly, “You should have said so earlier!”

Zhang Jiangyi had originally thought Chen Nan was just overly excited and therefore got the direction wrong. But hearing what he just said, he suddenly felt an urge to bang his head against the wall. Wasn’t that obvious? Was this really the powerhouse that Teacher Lan had compared to Jordan?

Slapping his forehead, Zhang Jiangyi said somewhat helplessly, “You’re not joking, are you?”

“Who’s joking with you?” Chen Nan pulled Zhang Jiangyi aside and whispered, “What other rules are there on the court? Tell me about them.”

Zhang Jiangyi almost collapsed onto the ground, “You… you don’t even know that?”
