School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 15: Chapter 15 Please Speak Mandarin!

”I wasn’t thinking about anything.”

Chen Nan said with some guilt, quickly shifting his gaze from Lan Yuqin’s chest to the window outside.

”Really?” Lan Yuqin’s eyes, as if they could see through one’s heart, stared straight at Chen Nan, ”Your speech is hesitant, the classic look of a guilty conscience. Won’t you come clean with me?”

Chen Nan felt somewhat helpless. Come clean? How the hell could he come clean about that? If he really did, Lan Yuqin, this she-devil, would undoubtedly lose her temper!

”Isn’t it just copying the school rules a hundred more times? I give up,” Chen Nan changed the subject.

Lan Yuqin pressed on, waiting for this response. Her eyebrows raised and she smiled slightly with a touch of triumph, ”Then make sure you remember to hand it to me before school ends tomorrow. Otherwise, don’t blame the teacher for turning heartless.”

Chen Nan gritted his teeth and nodded. It was his own damned fault for grabbing the she-devil’s chest in the first place—it was a self-inflicted disaster.

”Alright, off you go to class.”

Lan Yuqin waved her hand and said with a cheerful laugh.

Watching Lan Yuqin’s smiling face, Chen Nan felt so annoyed he was itching to say something, and then he blurted out, ”Teacher, you’re too mean!” before turning around and walking away.

Lan Yuqin nodded with a smile, feeling quite pleased with herself. It was only after Chen Nan had left the office that she suddenly felt that something was amiss. After thinking about it carefully, her brows knitted together and she clenched her teeth in fury, tightening her fist. ”Little bastard, daring to curse at me—I definitely won’t let this slide!”

The second class of the day was underway when Chen Nan arrived outside the classroom. The English teacher, Li Li, stood at the podium, lecturing enthusiastically, lost in her own world. However, Chen Nan, standing outside the door, didn’t understand a single word.

”Teacher, may I come in?”

Li Li turned her head and glanced at Chen Nan, ”come.”

Chen Nan was taken aback and looked at the female teacher in front of him, ”What?”

Li Li frowned, wondering just how this student learned his English; he couldn’t even understand such a simple word. So she intensified her tone, ”come!”

”What?”

Chen Nan dug at his ear, looking puzzled as he asked, ”Teacher, could you please speak Mandarin?”

At this, the whole class burst into laughter which they couldn’t stop. As for the English teacher, Li Li, she almost felt like spitting blood in frustration. How bad could this transfer student’s English be?

Su Qingqing in the classroom also rolled her eyes in disbelief. She couldn’t imagine that Chen Nan could be this bad.

Even Huo Xinya, who had already pegged Chen Nan as a despicable lecher, couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Chen Nan at the door felt somewhat baffled. The teacher was speaking in dialect, he wasn’t a local, so what was so strange about not understanding? These students lacked any decorum. It was blatant discrimination against an out-of-towner.

Seeing Chen Nan’s puzzled face, the English teacher, Li Li, was completely defeated and finally spoke in plain Mandarin, ”Come in.”

”Thank you, teacher.”

After Chen Nan returned to his seat and sat down, he was immediately scorned by Su Qingqing, who said it was shameful that he didn’t even understand such simple English.

Only after her words did Chen Nan finally realize that the teacher had been speaking English, not dialect...

Upon understanding the truth, Chen Nan felt embarrassed. It was damn humiliating! He considered himself a prodigy yet didn’t understand something as simple as English. It was quite unbecoming of his reputation. Luckily, the junior sister didn’t know, or his image as the all-capable big brother in her mind would have been completely ruined...

Thus, Chen Nan made up his mind to start listening to class attentively from now on and to seriously learn English so that he could show off to the junior sister in the future.

However, unfortunately, many things are easier said than done. After listening for five minutes, Chen Nan felt as if he were deciphering arcane scriptures, utterly bored. So he laid his head down on the desk and fell into a deep sleep.

When he woke up, it was already noon, and it was Su Qingqing who had pinched him awake.

”Ow...”

Chen Nan rubbed his arm where Su Qingqing had pinched him, grumbling, ”Aren’t you a bit too cruel? That was way too hard.”

”That was nothing,” Su Qingqing pouted her lips and said, ”You were sleeping like a dead pig, unshakeable. It’s almost lunchtime now, would you have woken up if I hadn’t pinched you?”

”It’s lunchtime already?”

”Obviously.”

Su Qingqing took his hand and stood up, saying, ”Come on, let’s go to the cafeteria.”

Having his hand held by Su Qingqing felt surprisingly comfortable for Chen Nan, and he involuntarily squeezed it; her hand was so soft and smooth, it felt really good to the touch.

Su Qingqing furrowed her brow, ”What are you doing, you idiot?”

Chen Nan chuckled and scratched his head, ”Your hand is really soft.”

”You...”

Su Qingqing was somewhat at a loss for words. This guy was really straightforward, simply saying whatever was on his mind.

If anyone other than Chen Nan had said that, Su Qingqing would have been furious, ready to smash his nose bloody. However, with Chen Nan, she didn’t feel the slightest anger because she thought him to be innocent, with no ill intentions. His squeezing of her hand was purely out of curiosity about its softness, with no sleazy thoughts whatsoever.

After all, he was someone who couldn’t even recognize ***.

Observing Chen Nan’s pure expression, Su Qingqing lifted her little nose and glared at him, ”Don’t squeeze it anymore, or I’ll strangle you to death.”

”Alright, I won’t squeeze it,” Chen Nan promptly let go. But the next moment, he casually put his arm around Su Qingqing’s shoulder. As he was taller, it looked as if he was embracing her, their posture ambiguously intimate.

The sudden move caught Su Qingqing off guard, causing her to frown and hurry to say, ”What the hell are you doing, you stinky fool?”
