Chapter 24 -24: Formidable Skills

“Okay, okay…”

Chen Nan swallowed hard, suppressing the wicked urge.

“Bang!”

Suddenly, another loud noise echoed.

Chen Nan’s expression changed instantly, his movements lightning-fast as he pushed Su Yixuan’s head down forcefully, and the next moment, a bullet whizzed past over her head, striking the windshield that was already riddled with cracks.

The blush on Su Yixuan’s face turned pale; she had literally brushed shoulders with death. If Chen Nan hadn’t reacted quickly, she might well have been on her way to meet King Yan by now.

“Can you even shake them off? Otherwise, I really can’t hold back anymore,” Chen Nan said, frustrated.

“Stop talking nonsense, just hold on tight to me!”

Su Yixuan’s face reddened again and said, “I know you have great self-control; just hold on.”

No matter how strong my willpower is, I can’t stand it with you doing that!

Chen Nan felt incredibly frustrated and said, “How about you just stop, it’s only two guns, they are no match for me.”

“You’re still boasting at a time like this!”

Su Yixuan didn’t slow down the car; instead, she even increased the speed a bit more.

The increase in speed would naturally cause her body to lean back, which made their bodies press even closer together.

Chen Nan swallowed hard, greedily inhaling her scent, and couldn’t help but kiss her neck.

“What are you doing!?” Su Yixuan exclaimed.

Chen Nan, snapping back to reality, quickly turned his head away, “Nothing… nothing, you just leaned back accidentally and I touched it.”

Su Yixuan was half skeptical, her cheeks glowing like the evening sunset, “Control yourself a bit!”

“If I could control myself, I would have done it long ago,” Chen Nan said, despondently.

Control? That’s a joke. Holding a beautiful woman in his arms, what man could resist?

“You!”

Su Yixuan decided not to talk anymore and concentrated on driving.

She glanced at the rearview mirror, and the Santana was still relentlessly pursuing them. Su Yixuan felt extremely anxious. What should she do?

“Quick, stop the car, there’s a blockade up ahead,” Chen Nan suddenly pointed ahead and said.

Su Yixuan looked up and her complexion changed drastically. Indeed, about two hundred meters ahead, five vans were parked side by side, completely blocking the road.

If this had been the city, the police would surely have come quickly to handle a roadblock, but in her panic, Su Yixuan had dashed right into a secluded suburban road. Here, not to mention police, even passing vehicles were rare.

It’s over, completely over!

Su Yixuan lamented inwardly, having no choice but to hit the brakes, else they were bound to crash into the vans up front.

The car stopped, and Chen Nan said, “You stay in the car; I’ll go deal with them.”

Su Yixuan looked back at him, “I’m not that afraid of death. Since things have come to this, let’s face them together.” With that, she opened the car door and got out.

“Bang!”

Just as Su Yixuan got out of the car, a loud bang sounded, and the people behind fired again.

A bullet, like a shooting star, raced across the sky aiming for Su Yixuan’s head. Just out of the car, she stood there—a perfect target.

“Dodge!”

As Chen Nan shouted, his body sprinted from the car like a cheetah, charging at Su Yixuan, and tackled her to the ground.

“Whoosh…”

With a cutting swoosh, the bullet flew over Su Yixuan’s head.

Without time to enjoy the soft body beneath him, Chen Nan quickly wrapped his arms around Su Yixuan’s waist, picking her up from the ground. Leaping about two meters high, they cleared the car and landed on the other side.

“Are you injured?”

“No… no.”

Su Yixuan was still in shock, the events unfolding too suddenly.

With the car providing cover, Chen Nan raised his head to look back through the window. The Santana had stopped, and two middle-aged men, holding pistols, were slowly approaching. At the same time, he noticed five men with pistols walking toward them from beside the five vans in the front.

Enemies surrounded them from front and back—seven in total, all armed.

However, it was now dark, and this remote section had no streetlights, only illuminated by car lights. They hadn’t yet spotted where Chen Nan and Su Yixuan were hiding.

“What do we do?” Su Yixuan’s voice trembled a bit.

Chen Nan picked up a few pebbles from the ground and whispered, “Stay down and don’t move, I’ll take care of them.” With that, he patted her shoulder and instantly leapt up, landing on the car roof.

As soon as Chen Nan appeared, all seven men simultaneously pulled their triggers, firing seven bullets at him.

“Thump…”

Chen Nan, feet planted on the car roof, performed a backflip, dodging five of the bullets in an instant. However, two still aimed straight for his chest and abdomen.

A cold light flashed in Chen Nan’s eyes as he flung the pebbles he held, throwing out four in one go.

“Clang…”

The pebbles collided with the bullets, sparks flying in the void. The two bullets aimed at Chen Nan were deflected by the stones and turned back towards their shooters.

As bullets and stones whirled through the air, the next moment was met with shrill screams of pain.
