Chapter 38: Chapter 40 Matters with Junior Sister

Chapter 38 -40 Matters with Junior Sister

Lan Yuqin was chasing fiercely behind, but Chen Nan used his Qinggong and slightly increased his speed, easily shaking her off.

After rushing out of the school gate, Chen Nan quickly caught up with Su Qingqing.

“Huh? Dummy, how did you catch up so quickly? What did Teacher Lan want with you?” Su Qingqing asked, her face full of confusion when she saw Chen Nan appear.

Chen Nan glanced at her, “Do you want to know?”

“Mm-hmm!”

Su Qingqing quickly nodded, her face full of anticipation as she looked at Chen Nan.

Chen Nan chuckled and flashed her a dazzling smile. Just when Su Qingqing thought he was about to speak, he tilted his head to the side, “No comment.”

“You stinky dummy, you dare to tease me!”

Su Qingqing pouted, glaring at Chen Nan in annoyance, and reached out to grab his ear.

So what if I tease you? The ungrateful thing, it’s already good that I haven’t hit you.

Chen Nan muttered to himself and dodged to the side, easily avoiding her grasp.

“Nice one, dummy, you think you’re all grown up now, daring to dodge?” Su Qingqing blocked his way, hands on her hips, eyes wide open, staring at him in a sassy princess manner.

Seeing her cute appearance, Chen Nan couldn’t help but want to laugh, touched his nose, and said, “I’m not stupid; why wouldn’t I dodge if you hit me?”

Su Qingqing puffed her lips out, “Hmph!”

“Stop blocking the way; it’s time to go home.”

“Hmph!”

“Is there something wrong with your nose? Why the constant snorting?”

“Hmph!”

“Shall I carry you home, then?” Chen Nan asked with a wry smile.

“Hehe, dummy, you’re really nice.”

Su Qingqing’s mood changed faster than the speed of light. She giggled and ran behind Chen Nan, stretched out her arms, and just as she was about to jump onto his back, the next moment she realized she had lunged into the air and, raising her head to look, noticed Chen Nan was already four or five meters ahead.

Su Qingqing paused for a moment, then burst out laughing and chased after him, “Dummy, you’re so fun.”

Chen Nan turned his head, laughed, and said, “If you can catch up to me, I’ll carry you.”

“Okay, okay!”

Su Qingqing laughed excitedly, opened her arms, ready to pounce on Chen Nan’s back any moment, and took big strides to chase him.

However, after chasing for a while, Su Qingqing realized she couldn’t outrun Chen Nan. Frustrated, an idea suddenly sparked in her mind, and spotting the grassy patch beside the sidewalk, she exclaimed, “Ouch,” and fell to the ground, “Dummy, slow down, I twisted my foot.”

Chen Nan saw through her little trick right away. Still, he pretended not to know and walked over to carry Su Qingqing.

As soon as she climbed onto Chen Nan’s back, Su Qingqing giggled and revealed her scheme, calling him dumb for being fooled by such a simple trick. Resigned and smiling wryly, Chen Nan enjoyed the feeling of her soft body on his back.

After a while, Su Qingqing suddenly said playfully, “Dummy, your back is so comfortable, I want you to carry me to school every day.”

Hearing this, Chen Nan was startled. Carrying a beauty was enjoyable and quite prestigious; however, doing it every day could also be a torment…

“That… might not be so good; you’re a pure and clean young lady. If I carry you every day, it won’t be good for your reputation.”

Su Qingqing laughed cheerfully, proudly saying, “What’s wrong with that? You’re my boyfriend now.”

“It’s not real anyway…”

Su Qingqing scratched her head and said with a giggle, “I don’t care, I just want you to carry me. Your back is even more comfortable than a palanquin.”

Chen Nan, helpless to react, neither agreed nor refused.

The two chatted back and forth as they headed home; carrying Su Qingqing gave Chen Nan a feeling of returning to his childhood, where his little junior sister also always enjoyed having him carry her, saying his back was very comfortable and gave her a sense of security.

Memories from the past surfaced one by one in his mind, and Chen Nan remembered clearly when, at eight years old, he took his little junior sister to touch a tiger’s butt, resulting in the tiger chasing them all over the mountain. Later, when his little junior sister couldn’t run anymore, he carried her. If their master hadn’t arrived just in time, perhaps the siblings might have been devoured by the tiger.

At that time, his little junior sister, who was only six years old, said something he would never forget—

“Brother, on your back, even if I get eaten by a tiger, I won’t be afraid.”

His little junior sister’s way of addressing him was also so unique. “Brother” already implied that he was like an older brother, but she insisted on adding another “brother” at the end, just like how Su Qingqing nowadays insists on calling him a dummy and refuses to change her ways no matter what.

“Dummy, what are you thinking about? Why aren’t you talking?”

Su Qingqing’s voice broke into Chen Nan’s reverie; he turned his head and smiled, “It’s nothing, just recalling some childhood moments.”

“Childhood?” Su Qingqing scratched her head, “Are you thinking about your little junior sister?”

Chen Nan nodded.

Su Qingqing pouted her lips, feeling a sour taste in her heart, but she didn’t dwell on it and asked cheerfully, “You grew up in the mountains, you must have lots of fun stories, right? Can you share some with me?”

Seeing Su Qingqing’s curious face, Chen Nan couldn’t bear to refuse her and smiled, “We had plenty of fun. As kids, we plucked lion’s whiskers, touched a tiger’s butt, fought with monkeys, and raced with turtles.”

Su Qingqing rolled her eyes dismissively, “Silly dummy, you’re tricking me again.”

Chen Nan smiled wryly; he really wasn’t lying.

The two continued to chat and laugh as they walked towards home, but just then, suddenly two Santana sedans roared from behind and stopped on the road ahead; ten burly men got out and blocked their path.

“Are you Chen Nan and Su Qingqing?”

The leader, a middle-aged brute, asked menacingly.

Chen Nan turned back to glance at Su Qingqing, who shook her head indicating she didn’t know the men. Chen Nan scanned the group and frowned, “What do you want?”

The middle-aged brute snorted coldly, “Was Zhao Ming beaten by you?”

As soon as he heard the name Zhao Ming, Chen Nan understood right away that these people were here to cause trouble. He coldly chuckled, “He was born to be a basketball, deserves a beating. What, you have a problem with that?”

The middle-aged man’s face grew colder, staring at Chen Nan, “Kid, you’ve got guts talking to me like that.”

“Zhao Ming said the same thing to me, but he ended up getting a beating,” Chen Nan laughed.

Su Qingqing asked curiously, “When did you beat up Zhao Ming?”

“Just this morning, and Xiao Jiji too. I made him drink urine.”

“Pfft, nicely done!”

Su Qingqing couldn’t help but laugh out loud, excitedly clenching her fists.

Chen Nan nodded, “I think so too.”

Seeing the two of them completely disregarding his group, the middle-aged brute was so furious that he seemed to be steaming from his seven orifices. With a wave of his hand, he cursed, “Brothers, get them, kill or cripple them!”

Kill or cripple?

Chen Nan laughed upon hearing this; Zhao Ming had said the same thing! But look how miserably that turned out!
