School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Shopping with Su Qingqing

After indulging his eyes, Chen Nan quickly let go and diverted his gaze for fear he might start to get a nosebleed if he continued looking.

Su Qingqing was completely oblivious to what was inappropriate because at that moment, the only thought in her mind was: She had struck gold, Chen Nan was a treasure! Not only was this guy pure, but he was also so capable; he must be fun to play with!

Su Yixuan walked over and smiled, ”Are you convinced now?”

”Totally convinced.” Su Qingqing nodded smilingly, her eyes glistening thievishly as she looked at Chen Nan, already overjoyed in her heart.

Su Yixuan shook her head with a wry smile, feeling helpless about her sister, ”Chen Nan will be living here from now on, so you go with him to buy some daily necessities. I have other things to deal with and can’t go with you.”

”Sure, no problem.”

Feeling proud, Su Qingqing said this and then grabbed Chen Nan’s hand, rushing outside, ”Pure Brother, let’s go.”

Pure Brother?

Upon hearing this nickname, Chen Nan felt helpless. Was he pure? He felt hopelessly depraved.

Although Chen Nan was enjoying the feel of Su Qingqing’s warm, soft hand, he felt a bit helpless; he didn’t have a cent on him. What was he supposed to buy? Making a fool of himself seemed more likely.

”Well, young lady, actually, I don’t need to buy anything. Let’s just go back home, shall we?”

”What young lady, just call me Qingqing.” Su Qingqing blinked, looking at Chen Nan in confusion, ”We already have everything we usually need at home, so true, there’s no need to buy those. But, you don’t seem to have any luggage. Shouldn’t we at least buy you some clothes to change into?”

”This... Let’s do it another day...”

Before Chen Nan could finish speaking, Su Qingqing pulled him and started running forward, ”Why wait for another day? It’s so hot now. What will you wear after showering tonight?”

Chen Nan was at a loss for words. He wanted to buy them too, but he couldn’t possibly ask this young girl to lend him money...

After hesitating repeatedly, Chen Nan gritted his teeth and made up his mind. Having already faced the shame of being without food, what harm was there in losing face one more time!

”Qingqing, do you have any money on you? Just lend me... lend me five hundred...”

Su Qingqing was stunned for a moment, then burst into hearty laughter, ”Haha, you’re so funny.”

So funny while broke to death? I’m dealing with your sister here!

Chen Nan cursed inwardly while putting on a look of helpless resignation on his face.

Taking the five hundred yuan handed to him by Su Qingqing, Chen Nan instantly felt more confident. But as soon as he stepped into a specialty store, his spirits plummeted again—everything was so damn expensive! The cheapest item of clothing cost several hundred or even thousands, and the five hundred yuan probably wasn’t enough for a filler in a gap.

Too greedy, definitely swindlers!

Chen Nan turned around to leave, planning to look elsewhere, but Su Qingqing caught hold of him, ”Pure Brother, what’s wrong? Don’t you like the clothes here? I think this one looks good. Try it on.”

Chen Nan took the clothes, glanced at them, and then tossed them aside, ”I don’t like this type.”

The clothes were nice indeed, but he couldn’t afford them...

With a pout, Su Qingqing pushed Chen Nan toward the dressing room, ”I think it’s quite nice, try it on.”

”Alright then...”

Chen Nan walked into the dressing room reluctantly.

A minute later, Chen Nan came out in the new clothes, and in a flash, the people of the world were astonished. Even Su Qingqing stared at him dumbfounded, and it took her a while to snap out of it. The difference before and after changing clothes was too great.

”Hehe, who knew you could be so handsome,” Su Qingqing said with a giggle, patting Chen Nan’s chest and winking.

Chen Nan chuckled and scratched his head sheepishly.

”I’ve got good taste, right? Hehe, I’ve paid for it. Consider it a gift from me. Let’s go.” Patting Chen Nan on the shoulder, Su Qingqing smiled triumphantly, then pulled him out of the store.

”A gift for me? I don’t have to pay it back?” Chen Nan’s face lit up with surprise.

Su Qingqing was completely speechless. The guy became so cheerful at the thought of not having to repay money. Did he have even a shred of manly pride? ”Of course, you don’t have to pay me back for a gift. By the way, Pure Brother, what’s your phone number?”

”Well, I... I don’t have a phone...”

Su Qingqing suddenly felt that, aside from his martial arts, this guy seemed to have nothing on him...

”Shall we go take a look at some cell phones then?”

Chen Nan had been planning to buy a cell phone, so he agreed.

Soon, they arrived at a mobile phone store.

Holding a five-inch screen phone in his hands, Chen Nan felt its weight was decent; in an emergency, it might even serve as a brick, ”Can this phone be used to hit someone?” Chen Nan asked the saleslady.

The saleslady hesitated before shaking her head, ”Sir, this can’t be used to hit people; it will break.”

”Then, do you have any phones that can be used to hit people?” Chen Nan inquired.

He was actually interested in buying a phone that could both make calls and serve as a weapon. This left Su Qingqing wondering next to him—did this guy have a violent streak? Otherwise, why would he need a phone to hit someone with?

”I’m sorry, sir, we don’t have any phones that can be used to hit people,” the saleslady said helplessly.

Chen Nan sighed and after looking around the counter for a while, finally picked up a five-inch screen phone, tossing it up and down. The weight felt alright; if he ended up hitting someone with it, he could just discard it if needed.

Chen Nan’s action frightened the saleslady next to him, who worried he might throw it out as he tossed it. She hurriedly warned, ”Sir, this can’t be used to hit someone.”

”I didn’t say I was going to hit anyone,” Chen Nan replied helplessly, ”How much is this thing?”

”Sir, this model is three thousand six hundred eighty yuan,” she informed him.

Without saying another word, Chen Nan threw the phone onto the counter and walked away. He couldn’t believe the phone was so expensive; the five hundred yuan he had couldn’t even cover the last digit!

The saleslady was dumbfounded, thinking she hadn’t said anything wrong; why was he so angry?

”Hey, where are you going?” Su Qingqing called out from behind him.

”I’m hungry, going to grab something to eat.”

Hungry?

Su Qingqing frowned and then understood—the guy didn’t have that much money on him. She glanced at the saleslady, ”I’ll take that phone, and get me a SIM card too.”

The saleslady was taken aback. A man shopping, but a woman paying? Had the world turned upside down? To have his girlfriend support him, was this guy too spineless or what!
