Chapter 33 -33 Huo Xinya Talks in Her Sleep

Looking at the terrified Zhao Ming in front of him, Chen Nan sighed, “Do you really think I came back to borrow more money?”

Upon hearing that money wasn’t the issue, Zhao Ming secretly breathed a sigh of relief, “Then… Nan, what do you mean?”

“Ah, brother, I’m concerned about your injuries!”

As Chen Nan spoke, he lightly slapped Zhao Ming’s face, causing Zhao Ming to shudder in pain, gasp in cold air, and hurriedly said with a trembling voice, “Nan… Brother Nan, you don’t have to worry about this minor injury of mine. However, if you have any issues, just say the word, and I would go through fire and water for you.”

“Ming, you’re such a great brother!” Chen Nan glanced at Zhao Ming’s wrist and said, “That watch looks quite nice, where did you buy it?”

Zhao Ming was startled, not understanding Chen Nan’s intention, and could only force a smile, “Yes, it’s Swiss, pretty decent.”

Chen Nan nodded in satisfaction, “It looks quite new too, take it off.”

Take it off?

Upon hearing that, Zhao Ming nearly died of anger, gritted his teeth, wishing he could slap Chen Nan to death. It wasn’t enough that he had stolen his money, now he even wanted his watch.

With extreme reluctance, Zhao Ming took off the watch, “Brother Nan, if you like it, then please accept it as a gift from me!”

“Since Ming is offering it so kindly, I certainly won’t be polite.” Chen Nan laughed out loud, grabbed the watch, and put it on his wrist. He flaunted it in front of Zhao Ming and said, “Ming, don’t you think I look handsomer wearing it than you did?”

Handsome?

I’ll handsome your sister, handsome your ancestors!

Zhao Ming cursed Chen Nan in his heart a hundred and eighty times, contradicting his conscience, he said, “Of course, how could I compare myself to you, Brother Nan!”

“Ming, you’re too modest. Although you are less attractive, there’s no need to put yourself down like that. I’m taking off now, see you!” Chen Nan said cheerily, then led Zhu Bajie out of the men’s restroom.

Inside the restroom, Zhao Ming covered his face, cursing as he picked himself up. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He was supposed to be the one beating others, yet now he was the one who had been beaten, and beaten so badly at that.

“Damn it, I’ll kill you one day!”

The more Zhao Ming thought about it, the angrier he got. Finally, in a fit of rage, he punched the wall hard, not realizing how solid the wall was. The pain made him jump up, clutching his fist and swearing loudly.

“Ming, are you okay?” Xiao Jiji got up and asked cautiously.

Seeing Xiao Jiji, Zhao Ming, already furious, became even more enraged and harshly slapped him across the face. The blow spun Xiao Jiji several times on the spot before he fell to the ground with a “thump,” knocking out two teeth and bleeding from the nose, emitting a pig-like squeal of pain.

After slapping him, Zhao Ming felt it wasn’t enough to relieve his anger, so he rushed over and started kicking Xiao Jiji viciously.

However, Zhao Ming was perhaps too agitated. After kicking out twice, he slipped, fell face first toward the urinal, and ended up headfirst in it. To his misfortune, the flushing mechanism of the urinal had long been broken, and it was filled with urine scale. As his head plunged in, he got covered in urine scale, and a foul smell filled the air.

“Damn it, damn it!”

Zhao Ming spat frantically, shaking his head and swearing loudly. For a moment, filth flew everywhere, and everyone got splashed with his face-covered in urine scale.

“Ming, stop shaking it off…”

Xiao Jiji said with a pained expression.

Already furious, Zhao Ming became even more enraged upon hearing Xiao Jiji’s words. He rushed at him and began punching and kicking, all the while cursing, “Damn your sister, take revenge, I’ll take revenge for your mother, after getting beaten myself, I’ll kick you to death, damn dog!”

Xiao Jiji was beaten and rolled on the ground, screaming in pain. Yet he dared not fight back, only continuously begging for mercy.

After venting his anger, Zhao Ming glanced at Tian Piyan, who had just woken up, “Hurry up and close the bathroom door, don’t let anyone else come in.”

Tian Piyan had been knocked unconscious by Zhu Bajie earlier and was still somewhat dazed. He foolishly asked, “Bro Ming, why do we need to close the door?”

“Damn you, are you brainless? If others see us like this, how can we ever show our faces at school again?” Zhao Ming spat fiercely and cursed Tian Piyan relentlessly.

For a moment, all the underlings fell silent, no one daring to provoke Zhao Ming.

It took a while before Zhao Ming gradually calmed down, covering his face and grinding his teeth, “I must avenge this! Piyan, you’re the least injured, go get some clean clothes for everyone to change into. When classes are in session and no one is around, we’ll sneak out to see a doctor. We absolutely can’t let others see us like this, or we’ll have no face left to show at school!”

“Don’t worry, Bro Ming, I’ll get the clothes right away.”

Tian Piyan agreed and stealthily slipped out of the bathroom.

…

Noon arrived, and after having lunch, Chen Nan returned to the classroom.

He had been feeling down all morning, because he had been misunderstood by Huo Xinya. So after beating up Zhao Ming and his gang, he had been contemplating how to convince Su Qingqing to testify and clear his name. Unfortunately, despite his every effort in the morning, Su Qingqing simply refused to testify and seemed to enjoy seeing him embarrassed.

Having no other choice, Chen Nan made a great decision; to rely on oneself is better than depending on others. Since Su Qingqing was unwilling to testify, he would use his noble character to win over Huo Xinya.

He would make her realize that he was Lei Feng, not a hooligan!

After inquiring about it from Zhu Bajie, Chen Nan learned that Huo Xinya would review her lessons in the classroom during the nap time every day.

So, after lunch, Chen Nan went to the classroom, intending to have a serious talk with Huo Xinya.

Indeed, when Chen Nan arrived at the classroom, he found that Huo Xinya was the only one there. However, she wasn’t reviewing her lessons but seemed to be asleep on the desk.

Looking at Huo Xinya, who was deep in sleep, Chen Nan glanced around and tiptoed in, feeling like a thief with a guilty conscience.

Approaching Huo Xinya’s seat, Chen Nan extended his hand, intending to wake her up, but then he thought, would she get angry if he suddenly disturbed her sleep? Then, the situation would become even harder to explain.

Maybe… it would be better to wait until she woke up before explaining?

Chen Nan silently nodded and was just about to return to his own seat when Huo Xinya suddenly started talking in her sleep—

“Master, don’t leave me behind, please don’t…”

Master!

Hearing this word, Chen Nan was profoundly shaken.

In the past, his junior sister Ye Yiyi had been expelled from the sect by their master. Now, not only did Huo Xinya possess the Nine Yin Divine Claw, but she was also uttering such dream-talk; how could this be just a coincidence?

If it weren’t for the fact that Huo Xinya’s eyes didn’t resemble Ye Yiyi’s, and the claw marks on the wall didn’t display deep enough inner strength, Chen Nan would have been convinced that Huo Xinya was his junior sister.

Feeling somewhat excited, Chen Nan looked at Huo Xinya, hoping to glean more information from her dream-talking.
