Chapter 492: Chapter 272: Opportunity for Cultural Export (Part 2)

”If I haven’t prepared an engaging enough interface to retain this massive influx of traffic, then after this traffic explosion, all that will be left is a big mess.”

”Most people will forget about me after three days, and my new follower count will experience a dramatic decline.”

”By then, not only will I have wasted this precious opportunity, but I will also become a joke with inflated numbers in front of those top brands.”

”I don’t need a one-time frenzy, Scoot. What I need is sustainable growth.”

This cool-headed and almost cold self-analysis shocked Scoot on the other end of the phone.

Artists he has collaborated with, whether top superstars or newcomers, react with ecstasy and gratitude when presented with such a level of opportunity.

No one, like Lin Yu’an, thinks first about how to digest, not just gain, when faced with temptation.

Lin Yu’an continued, honestly expressing his concerns, ”Before I agree with you, I must think clearly about how I should welcome and retain this valuable wave of users.”

”I need a plan, a plan that can truly convert this group of young fans into my long-term supporters.”

”I need some time to think about whether I can absorb this wave of traffic. Then I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.”

This sense of clarity and professionalism not only didn’t disappoint Scoot but also raised his evaluation of Lin Yu’an to another level.

An artist who respects traffic and thinks about retention is destined to have a longer career.

”No problem, take your time, no rush.” Scoot’s tone already included a touch of genuine admiration, ”The concert is at the end of February, and there is ample time to prepare.”

”End of February?” A thought suddenly flashed through Lin Yu’an’s mind like lightning.

He checked the calendar, then suggested to Scoot, ”Scoot, I have an idea that might partially solve the retention rate issue, or rather, a suggestion.”

”Let’s hear it.”

”If possible, I’d like to schedule the concert for February 1st.”

”February 1st?” Scoot was a bit confused, ”That’s a Tuesday, not exactly a prime date for concert publicity.”

”But on that day,” Lin Yu’an’s voice carried a trace of a smile, ”it’s the Chinese lunar New Year, Spring Festival.”

”Think about it, Scoot. On a day most special to all Chinese, being a Chinese myself, appearing on Justin Bieber’s stage.”

”This is not just a cross-border cooperation; it’s a cultural event. For Justin’s fans in China, it’s an extraordinary New Year gift.”

”For my identity, it’s the perfect global display. We can even greet Chinese people worldwide in Mandarin on stage.”

”How much discussion would this topic spark on Chinese social media?”

On the other end of the phone, Scoot gasped.

He instantly grasped Lin Yu’an’s intent.

Lin Yu’an is not only thinking about how to absorb traffic, but he’s also reverse thinking about how to use his identity to create a more significant global topic that transcends music itself for this event!

”I understand...” Scoot’s voice was a bit dry, ”I’ll discuss it with Justin’s team. Lin, you really are a genius.”

”I’m just a partner wanting to do things better.” Lin Yu’an’s tone was neither humble nor arrogant.

On the other end of the line, Scoot was silent for a long time, seeming to digest the enormous amount of information in that conversation.

When he spoke again, his tone carried a hint of seeking partnership: ”Lin, since we’re talking about cooperation, I want us to... deepen our collaboration.”

”What do you mean?”

”Regarding the GME thing,” Scoot’s voice became very earnest, ”I’ve personally gotten involved, but now it seems it’s not just a simple investment.”

”After all, the source of this event originates from your hand. I’d like to seek your permission; I think Justin should also be a part of this event.”

Lin Yu’an listened quietly, not speaking.

Scoot continued, ”I don’t mean for him to speculate for profit; rather, I hope you allow me, on Justin’s behalf, to invest some funds into it. Whether this investment is profitable or not is not important.”

”What’s important,” Scoot said word by word, ”is that through this joint, secret investment, he establishes a trust relationship with you that surpasses mere partnerships.”

”Lin, do you understand? I’m not asking Justin for a favor for you. I’m inviting you to inject your ’Oracle’ into the core of our business alliance!”

”Let Justin experience it personally, so in the future, whether it’s concerts, brand endorsements, or any other collaborations, he’ll trust every one of your judgments without reservation.”

These words were articulated extremely cleverly.

Scoot perfectly wrapped what seemed like a request for information into a strategic layout to consolidate future cooperative relationships, then presented it as proactively setting a pledge to Lin Yu’an.

Lin Yu’an’s lips curved into a smile of approval. Talking with smart people is effortless.

”Okay.” He agreed, his tone becoming equally solemn.

”Scoot, I accept your proposal to strengthen cooperation. But my warning remains valid. You must personally supervise his account and exit immediately after the final triggering event.”
