King of the Wilderness

Chapter 453: Chapter 250: The Enveloping Giant Web

”Brian, to be honest, if he were a singer wanting to release an album, I wouldn’t share a single punctuation mark with you.”

”But his future is in documentaries, publishing, personal branding, and even Hollywood. These are your CAA’s backyard, not my main battleground.”

”If I forcibly sign him to SB Projects, that would be irresponsible to him and the biggest waste of my resources.”

”So, I don’t want to be his boss.” Scooter’s tone became crystal clear, ”I want to be his partner and producer with you.”

”I need you, Brian.” He emphasized his tone, ”to use CAA’s resources to plan a path for him, not the path of an internet celebrity, nor a path of a star.”

”But a path... how should I say it...” Scooter seemed to be searching for the most precise position.

Finally, he slowly uttered two names, those two names representing the absolute pinnacle of a domain.

”A path that allows him to become the world’s third modern wilderness legend after Bell Grylls and Ed Stafford!”

This sentence left Brian breathing heavily on the other end of the phone.

Scooter’s voice was full of confidence: ”Do you understand what I mean, Brian?”

”Bell represents extreme survival like a special forces soldier. Ed represents Robinson-style survival. And Lin Yu’an, he represents an entirely new domain!”

”He possesses Ed’s solitude and creativity, along with Bell’s hardcore skills and camera presence. More importantly, he isn’t one of those two British!”

”Trust me, if you choose him now, you will be the unmovable cornerstone of his future empire!”

Brian on the other end of the phone fell into silence again. He completely understood Scooter’s message. Scooter wasn’t offering a client; he was initiating a joint investment project.

He is offering the most scarce resources and connections, while CAA needs to provide professional operations and execution.

After a long time, Brian finally said slowly, ”Scooter, you know what this means. Turning an amateur into a legend requires resources... it’s astronomical.”

”He might be worth it.” Scooter responded without hesitation, ”Moreover, he doesn’t need us to spend. He is the source that can create value.”

”We just need to help him turn that value into commercial worth in the most efficient and dignified way.”

”Moreover, Brian,” Scooter’s tone carried a hint only top players can understand, ”don’t forget the most crucial point, he’s Chinese.”

Brian’s breathing on the other end of the phone paused again.

Scooter continued speaking, his voice low but seemingly carrying enormous weight: ”Brian, things are different now.”

”Both you and I know, Hollywood’s golden era may not be over yet, but its narrative style is being completely overturned.”

”Now is the era of short videos, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Reels... youth attention is measured in seconds.”

”You at CAA have signed movie stars, music stars, but in this ’short, flat, fast’ new track, do you have someone who can define an era?”

”Someone who can make both Eastern and Western audiences willingly linger for more than 15 seconds?”

Without waiting for Brian to answer, he directly continued: ”And Lin Yu’an, I feel, is the perfect answer to fill that gap for you.”

”Think about the buff he has,” Scooter’s speech quickened, ”Chinese, let’s not even talk about the huge market that represents.”

”The champion of ’Alone in the Wilderness’, which proves he possesses top-level hardcore survival skills and resilient willpower, the core of his content, irreplaceable.”

”Over 1.9 meters tall, top-level appearance, meaning he has all external conditions to become a global icon. More importantly, he knows how to create spectacles!”

”Whether building a log cabin or potentially future forging or exploring... can be easily sliced into countless viral short video materials to spread globally!”

”Brian, this is the key!” Scooter emphasized, ”His content is deep and can spread. In this era, it’s a walking goldmine!”

”Imagine,” his voice added a touch of lure.

”Once you push him to the position of the global wilderness top stream, the massive traffic he brings will be like a faucet that can’t be turned off!”

”This traffic is bound to be high-quality male fans that can back-radiate to other artists under your CAA and into the Chinese market you want to penetrate!”

”Netflix, Disney... they’re still struggling to find scripts to connect East and West. And we’ve now found that super node that can connect East and West flow!”

These words, like the most precise tactical strike, completely pierced through the last bit of hesitation in Brian’s heart.

He instantly understood Scooter’s full ambition, Scooter wanted not only to create a legend.

He wanted to sign someone who in the era of short videos could bring new growth points for the entire CAA empire—a traffic engine and strategic weapon!

There was silence on the other end of the phone for quite some time, long enough for Scooter to even hear the faint siren from outside Brian’s office window.

Finally, Brian’s voice came through again, this time devoid of any laziness or hesitation, just the excitement and decisiveness of a businessman.

”Alright, Scooter, my dear friend, you’ve persuaded me once again. I’d hope your ’golden touch’ moniker will be more successful this time.”

Brian was finally completely ignited. ”I’ve received the email. Tell your lawyers to be ready to connect with my legal team on the contract details at any time.”

”Pleasure doing business, my friend.”

”Pleasure doing business.”

Scooter, after hanging up the call with CAA, didn’t pause for a moment and immediately dialed a second number.

This time, the phone rang for quite a while before being answered.

A calm yet undeniably authoritative voice came through: ”Scooter? If this is about that rapper’s mess, I don’t have time right now.”

”No, dear Matty! This time it’s for a new client as clean as Alaska’s white snow.” Scooter said into the phone, a respectful smile on his face.

The person on the other end was the legendary Hollywood figure, Matty Singh, the Mad Dog Lawyer that all media and corporate giants feared.

”I never take clean cases; they’re too boring.” Matty’s voice carried a touch of self-mockery.

”But what if this clean client is currently being chased by Archaeopteryx, LVMH, and several Northern European divine-level brands with contracts worth tens of millions of US Dollars?”

”Do you think this case is dirty and complex enough?”

On Matty’s side, there was silence once again.

”...Send the materials over.” He said succinctly a few seconds later.

”I’ve already sent it to your secure email.” Scooter said, ”Among them, there’s an email from him personally to me. Once you read it, you’ll understand that what this client needs is not just a legal team to review contracts, but a legal advisor who can help him win battles!”

”I like that term.” Matty seemed to smile, ”I’ll give you my feedback before tonight.”

”Thank you, Matty.”

”You’re welcome.” Matty’s voice finally carried a hint of genuine interest, ”Sounds like this Christmas won’t be so dull.”

After hanging up the last call, Scooter Braun finally took a long, deep breath.

He stood up and walked to the large floor-to-ceiling window. The sunset glow was painting Los Angeles’s skyscrapers in a dazzling golden color.

In Scooter’s mind, the perfectly crafted blueprint of power was vividly forming.

By choosing CAA, the most powerful agency empire in Hollywood, he was not just selecting a strong ally but forging a steadfast alliance lasting more than a decade.

Justin Bieber’s agency contract, covering global movies, TV shows, tours, and lucrative commercial endorsements, was signed with CAA, personally managed by Brian Lorde’s team, and the same was true for Ariana Grande during her time at SB Projects.

Scooter knew that his and SB Projects’ success was inseparable from the support of the massive CAA empire.

CAA provided his artists with the best platforms and resources, and in return, he brought CAA the era’s top musical idols.

Their relationship had long surpassed simple representation, evolving into a mutually beneficial, deeply tied symbiosis.

Therefore, entrusting Lin Yu’an, a future goldmine, to CAA was not risky external cooperation but placing a precious asset into his most trusted safe.

He would let the top team, with its most mature assembly line, transform it into a world-renowned masterpiece!

And he himself would ensure his most substantial rewards from three dimensions by being a ”co-producer.”

First, Lin Yu’an’s agency contract would nominally be signed to CAA but jointly managed by dedicated teams of CAA and SB Projects.

This meant he could take the largest slice of commission from all projects.

Second, for all future film and TV content derived from Lin Yu’an’s IP, from documentaries to movies, he would automatically be credited as an executive producer, directly participating in back-end profit sharing.

Finally, the most far-reaching step, when Lin Yu’an established his own brand in the future, he would have the priority to invest and become a shareholder in this future business empire.

Commissions, dividends, and equity—these three pivotal elements tightly bound Scooter’s interests to every step of Lin Yu’an’s future growth.

CAA acquired a ”traffic engine” capable of leading a new era.

Lin Yu’an gained a top-tier platform that could clear all obstacles for him.

And he, Scooter Braun, would be the mastermind behind it all, enjoying the longest and largest piece of gains.

Most importantly, even if Lin Yu’an didn’t become a top media sensation in the end, it wouldn’t cost him anything.

He looked at the skyline, symbolizing wealth and power, and smiled with assured determination.

A colossal web encompassing Lin Yu’an and spanning the global entertainment, business, and legal fields had quietly spread.

And he was seated firmly at the center of the web.
