Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1998: Chapter 1549: Super Tough Guy

In the eastern New Orleans, there lies a vast expanse of fertile land. Hills, forests, rivers, and large stretches of flat grassland together form the best scenery here. A giant Western-style ancient castle stands tall in the center of the land, connected by several wide and flat modern highways.

The history of this castle dates back to the 19th century. It is said to have been initially built by royalty and nobility, enduring numerous wars yet remaining unscathed. In modern times, someone bought it, spending over a hundred million US Dollars in ten years to renovate and modernize it.

Currently, on the surface, it belongs to Mr. Meifu.

At this moment, in a living room of the castle, Meifu is on a call.

More specifically, he is on the phone scolding Ruby.

To the public, the famous Mr. Ruby of New Orleans, a wealthy plantation owner, is actually just a spokesperson, the spokesperson of Mr. Meifu. To put it bluntly, he is a puppet.

To outsiders, Ruby may seem incredibly proud and noble, but in front of his ”master” Meifu, he is nothing but someone to be reprimanded.

Opposite Meifu, on a large and comfortable sofa, sits a man with an imposing presence.

The man is strong and muscular, his physique explosively powerful, with arms exposed, showing a bronze hue, and muscles as if cast in steel.

His face is ruggedly angular, with a resolute expression and an indomitable gaze; a scar slashes down his forehead, adding to his intimidating presence.

Anyone who meets his eyes is likely to tremble in fear, not daring to keep their gaze.

At this moment, he shows no restraint in front of Meifu, sipping slowly from a full glass of strong liquor.

This is the man who even makes Mr. Ruby feel terrified. Secretly described by Ruby as the ”Killer God,” it is said that he has wiped out enemies on the battlefield by the hundreds, instilling dread in his foes.

His name is ”NO.2”.

It doesn’t even sound like a name. In truth, it isn’t; it’s a code name, meaning ”NO.2”.

It’s hard to imagine what NO.1 would be like if such a person ranks second.

Mr. Meifu makes no effort to hide his call from him, which shows the level of trust he has for him.

However, in reality, NO.2 is not employed by Meifu.

Just like the estate, it only belongs to Meifu in name.

As NO.2 drinks, he occasionally listens to Meifu’s conversation.

The reason why Meifu repeats some of Ruby’s words during the reprimand is to conveniently let NO.2 hear them.

Especially when it comes to the difficult Huaxia people, Meifu’s tone is heavy, words clear and cut.

Meifu naturally knows Ruby is not useless, nor does he dare lie. His subordinates are not weak women; if more than a dozen can’t deal with two, it proves the other side is really formidable. Even the threat of weapons does not deter them, indicating a need for stronger forces.

For instance, NO.2.

Sure enough, NO.2 pauses his drink, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Huaxia people!

Incredibly formidable skills!

These two points greatly impress NO.2!

Meifu sees NO.2’s reaction out of the corner of his eye and aptly ends his talk with Ruby.

Ruby also mentioned how to contact those Huaxia people, suggesting Daisy pass on the message.

Ruby said the Huaxia people have connections with the Qin Family but speculated it is just a friendship among peers, which is why he showed himself to intimidate, only to find out they didn’t care.

To this, Meifu is also displeased.

Firstly, he is annoyed at Ruby, that idiot, for exposing him so easily. Secondly, he is displeased with the Huaxia people for slighting him.

The younger generation of the Qin Family indeed carries weight here, but Meifu thought with the relationship of his brother-in-law, even they should give him face!

What is with these Huaxia people, so unaware of the situation!

Daring to disregard him here in New Orleans!

If word gets out, how could he show his face again!

So Meifu decides that the other side must be harshly taught a lesson!

With this in mind, he sets his eyes on NO.2.

Seeing Meifu put down the phone, NO.2 also puts down his cup, looking up and saying in a deep voice, ”Mr. Meifu, what’s the deal with those two Huaxia people?!”

Meifu deliberately shows a hint of irritation, snorting, ”Just two things that don’t know what’s good for them, I heard they can fight! I think it’s just Ruby being useless and his men ineffective!”

Saying so, Meifu still picks the content that might interest NO.2, explaining in detail.

Hearing Meifu mention wanting to see those two Huaxia people, a sinister smile appears at the corner of NO.2’s mouth, ”I wonder if I can meet them with Mr. Meifu, I too want to witness their skills! If Mr. Meifu wants some revenge, I’d be even more willing to oblige! If they indeed amuse me, I’ll waste them as gratitude!”

NO.2’s words are chilling, even making Meifu feel a slight shiver.

”Those people have some connection with the Qin Family, if we truly harm them...” Meifu hesitates, seeming troubled, but then, like making a resolution, says, ”Alright, I initially didn’t want to teach them too harshly, but with you, NO.2, saying so, I can’t be seen as weak. You, go ahead and act. Even if it’s heavy-handed, I’ll take responsibility and explain to my brother-in-law...”

Meifu, having gained a free enforcer, also acts as if doing NO.2 a favor, making the free enforcer shine, satisfying him deeply.

It has to be said, Meifu calculated well.

Hearing Meifu, NO.2 is greatly pleased.

With NO.2 stepping in, Meifu feels quite confident.

NO.2’s record is something he’s heard repeatedly, NO.2’s every action shakes the scene, regarded as godlike.

With this man here, it seems, when those two inattentive Huaxia people show up again, it will be their end!

”You dared to ruin my plans, even if your friends are from the Qin Family, I won’t spare you!” A cold cruelty flickers in the depths of Meifu’s eyes.

He can already imagine their miserable fate.

If something really happens, he’ll take responsibility, if not, he’ll just pass the blame...

On the other side.

Bai Xiaosheng and his companions take a taxi back to where they came from.

The taxi driver, Ayuo, looks at Bai Xiaosheng with reverent eyes, as if he is some great figure incognito.

Being friends with Mr. Ruby’s friends is remarkable!

Having Mr. Ruby personally escort them out is even unimaginable!

Thus, Ayuo dares not show any negligence.

However, looking at Daisy, there’s a hint of surprise in Ayuo’s eyes, thinking of this as Mr. Ruby’s ”friend”... what kind of ”friend”?

Ayuo harbors a slight curiosity but certainly won’t ask, nor stare too much.

Even if that woman’s clothes seem somewhat shabby, he doesn’t dare speculate, fearing saying something inappropriate that displeases the other party — something he cannot afford!

Dropping Bai Xiaosheng and others off at the roadside where they initially came, Ayuo drives away.

Bai Xiaosheng gives Daisy a contact information, so if Meifu wants to see them, she can find him.

”Is it really okay, won’t I cause you trouble!” Daisy can’t help but worry, knowing all too well Mr. Meifu’s influence.

Precisely for this reason, she is extremely concerned for Bai Xiaosheng and his companion.

”Don’t worry, we naturally have our ways, we also know some very capable people.” Bai Xiaosheng smiles.

Daisy recalls Bai Xiaosheng mentioning the Qin Family, feeling slightly assured.

In her view, maybe with the Qin Family mediating, the situation won’t be as bad as she feared.

Daisy still needs to deliver jewelry, so Bai Xiaosheng hails another taxi for her to go first.

Seeing Daisy off, Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying return to the hotel.

On the way, Lei Ying asks, ”This issue involves the head of the South America Division. If we don’t handle it well, they might be displeased, affecting the cooperation between over there and our place. Worse, they might even target you!”

After all, Meifu is their brother-in-law!

As Bai Xiaosheng walks, he nonchalantly replies to Lei Ying, ”If I can’t handle such matters, what business do I have discussing cooperation.”

”If the head of the South America Division is biased to the point of ignoring justice, then do I dare cooperate with them?”

”Such cooperation isn’t worth it!”
