Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1979: Chapter 1540: It’s All Your Fault!

Bai Xiaosheng walked out of the ”Hugo’s Home” watch shop with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying. Bai Xiaosheng took the watch out of his pocket again, rubbing the dial with his thumb, inspecting it closely.

To be honest, Bai Xiaosheng really liked this watch too.

Especially since it held a deep friendship story behind it. The old shop owner Sebastian’s fondness for his Huaxia friends, his goodwill towards Huaxia people, and his affection for Huaxia itself made people feel incredibly comfortable.

Bai Xiaosheng directly put the watch on his wrist.

Though not accustomed to wearing watches, he decided to give it a try.

At that moment, the elderly woman Donna Chen and the mixed-race girl Molly also walked out of the watch shop.

After all, the old shop owner had given a ”push-out notice,” and they couldn’t stay any longer without losing face.

Compared to the trio of Bai Xiaosheng, Donna Chen and Molly looked rather displeased. Especially Donna Chen, who didn’t expect to be outdone by the Huaxia people she despised the most; she was absolutely furious.

Particularly since she was also criticized by a foreign old man, which made her feel utterly humiliated.

”Not spending a penny, getting a freebie, it’s really great, isn’t it? Already wearing it!” Donna Chen said, curling her lip, with a trace of bitterness, as she saw the watch on Bai Xiaosheng’s wrist.

Bai Xiaosheng ignored her, as did Lei Ying.

Even if they disliked this elderly woman, they wouldn’t stoop to arguing with her.

She might not care about decorum, but they did.

Moreover, to use a rather inappropriate analogy, victory isn’t determined by arguing. When faced with a barking dog, should a person bark back?

Lin Weiwei also glanced at Donna Chen and scoffed.

Their actions, especially Lin Weiwei’s, almost made the elderly woman curse out loud.

”Grandma, don’t stoop to their level. We should head to the airport now.” Molly, the granddaughter of the elderly woman, looked at the time and advised.

”Yes, it’s better to leave early and stay away from these eyesores.” The elderly woman Donna Chen agreed, still casually throwing a jab at Bai Xiaosheng and his companions.

Over there, Lin Weiwei also checked the time and quietly said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Sheng, let’s go too. It’s about time.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded.

So the elderly woman Donna Chen, with her granddaughter Molly and two female attendants, headed towards the airport.

Bai Xiaosheng and his friends followed not far behind, also heading in that direction.

Along the river running through the city, both groups walked for a while.

The mixed-race girl Molly noticed Bai Xiaosheng and his friends behind, and whispered to the elderly woman Donna Chen.

The elderly woman Donna Chen also frowned, glancing back twice.

”What are you looking at? If you’re allowed to go to the airport, why aren’t we?” Lin Weiwei murmured under her breath, ”As if you own the airport...”

”Forget it, let’s walk a bit faster and overtake them.” Bai Xiaosheng consoled.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded, and the three of them quickened their pace.

Donna Chen and the mixed-race girl Molly noticed their actions and instead stopped altogether, adopting a wary stance.

”What are you doing? Why are you following us? Are you trying to rob us?” The elderly woman Donna Chen suddenly shouted at Bai Xiaosheng and his friends.

Molly clutched Donna Chen’s arm, looking wary, and the two attendants behind them also watched Bai Xiaosheng and his friends with caution.

The outburst drew the attention of passersby, who looked towards Bai Xiaosheng and his group.

Bai Xiaosheng, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying were all taken aback.

What did she mean by that? Were they planning to rob something? Misbehave?

Just walking in the same direction, does that mean malicious intent? Walking faster means ill intentions?

It was simply absurd!

Besides, Bai Xiaosheng and his friends were at least ten meters away from them.

Bai Xiaosheng noticed a hint of a triumphant smile on the face of the elderly woman Donna Chen, and suddenly understood.

This was her revenge!

Insulting one’s innocence in front of a crowd!

Too much!

Even Bai Xiaosheng showed a trace of anger on his face.

Donna Chen and Molly, on the other hand, felt a bit of glee.

In the distance, the local patrol police seemed to have been alerted and started to approach.

Just after Donna Chen’s outcry, a homeless man who had been lying on a nearby bench suddenly got up and made a dash.

He collided head-on with Molly, snatching her handbag and sprinting away.

This homeless man was the one with truly ill intentions!

He had constantly been eyeing his target, already fixated on Donna Chen and Molly, recognizing these Asian faces as quite wealthy!

He didn’t care that Donna Chen and Molly were no longer Huaxia nationals.

As Donna Chen deliberately shouted accusations at Bai Xiaosheng, the homeless man saw his chance!

Robbing at this moment, even if it drew the police’s attention, as long as he ran fast enough, those officers would first apprehend the three Asians.

After all, the elderly woman had already shouted that they intended to rob her...

The homeless man took advantage of the situation.

At that moment, although the mixed-race girl Molly was playing along with her grandmother’s act, treating Bai Xiaosheng and his friends as ”bad guys,” she knew they wouldn’t really do that. So, she wasn’t on guard and never imagined that someone would indeed rob her, and from behind.

The mixed-race girl Molly was knocked into a stumble by the harsh collision, letting out a scream and nearly taking down the elderly woman Donna Chen with her.

The two maidservants screamed and moved aside, allowing the homeless man to rush between them. After all, they were attendants, not bodyguards.

”My bag!” The mixed-race girl Molly snapped back to reality, raising her head in shock and followed with another shout, ”My plane ticket!”
