Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1956: Chapter 1527: An Honored Guest Arrives

Xianggang, Dayuntiandao No.10, is said to be ranked third among luxury residences in Xianggang.

It is also the residence of the Lin Family.

The Lin Family villa is built by the mountainside with water nearby, featuring a wide private road. It practically occupies an entire mountainside, designed collaboratively by renowned architects and feng shui masters, with the main building composed of a series of low-level structures.

The flower lawn in front of the building is nearly the size of a football field.

Today, after breakfast, the Lin Family Patriarch announced that an important guest would be visiting, instructing the younger generation of the family to stay home to welcome the distinguished guest.

The younger generation with the character ”Chen” in their names, over a dozen of them were home, all surprised by the news.

The Patriarch has given orders, and they dare not go against them. So they did not go to their respective positions at the Lin Family company and instead settled down in small groups on the ground floor hall of the main building, waiting.

While waiting, everyone began whispering among themselves, discussing quietly.

Among them, Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu each had sizeable groups surrounding them, with the largest numbers.

Of course, there were those who weren’t favored, like Lin Chensheng, who sat alone in a corner.

Speaking of which, last night, Lin Chensheng had signed a contract with Tianyu International, meeting with their general manager Chengnan, which greatly excited him.

Chengnan was very courteous, and after signing, he told Lin Chensheng to go home and wait, saying there were some matters to attend to first, and he could officially start in at most three days, at least in one day.

Lin Chensheng had no objections and returned home that night to wait.

Actually, after last night’s Lin Family banquet ended, another event occurred.

Upon returning, Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu immediately reported Lin Chensheng’s ”reckless” behavior to the Patriarch.

The two were very outspoken and emotional, listing Lin Chensheng’s various misdeeds, and pleaded strongly for the Patriarch to impose significant punishment as a warning!

After all, Lin Chensheng openly disrespected Hong Wu of the Hong Family at the Lin Family banquet and embarrassed the two of them, neglecting the bigger picture, bringing shame to the Lin Family.

Under the duo’s embellished recount, the Lin Family Patriarch frowned, showing some anger.

Currently, the Lin Family spans four generations, and aside from the Patriarch, the second-generation members are all elsewhere, so disciplining the younger ones naturally falls to him.

Moreover, given his status, however he punishes, the younger ones must heed.

”When Lin Chensheng returns, send him to see me!” the Patriarch instructed sternly to Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu.

Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu ”acknowledged,” and they left with some joy, eagerly waiting for Lin Chensheng to come back and see how he’d be punished!

The two even gathered together, waiting and chatting excitedly by the first floor hall.

”When Lin Chensheng returns, we’ll escort him over. Before the Patriarch, we must insist on severely punishing him!”

”Yes, and let Uncle know how excessive his son is! With such a useless son as a burden, does he even have the right to wield so much power?”

The pair chatted for an hour, waited for an hour.

In the end, Lin Chensheng never showed up.

Actually, not until eleven o’clock in the evening did Lin Chensheng return. Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu immediately notified him to drop his things and go to the Patriarch’s study.

Having said that, the two went ahead to wait at the Patriarch’s.

Unexpectedly, despite the late hour, the Patriarch was still on a call.

The two finally waited for the Patriarch to finish his call, only to be told that there was no time to address Lin Chensheng’s matter today or even tomorrow, as a distinguished guest was visiting!

When the Lin Family Patriarch mentioned the distinguished guest, his eyes gleamed with excitement and anticipation.

This left Lin Chencheng and Lin Chenyu dumbfounded, not daring to ask more, nor to push the Patriarch regarding Lin Chensheng’s punishment.

The two had no choice but to leave.

In the hallway, they encountered Lin Chensheng, and could only inform him of the cancellation of the Patriarch’s summons.

Facing them, Lin Chensheng had little to say. Upon hearing the Patriarch canceled, he turned and left.

His demeanor was indeed disrespectful.

It infuriated Lin Chencheng terribly---how could this useless person be so arrogant before him, making him grit his teeth in anger.

Seeing this, Lin Chenyu comforted Lin Chencheng, saying there would be plenty of chances to put Lin Chensheng into trouble in the future, this matter wouldn’t end easily!

After hearing these words, Lin Chencheng felt slightly better.

Returning to the present, after breakfast, Lin Chencheng noticed Lin Chensheng surprisingly hadn’t left either but stayed to await the distinguished guest, making him feel uncomfortable.

Still, at such an important event, Lin Chencheng naturally wouldn’t stoop to harshly criticize Lin Chensheng.

Confronting a worthless person is akin to stepping on a pile of dog poo, it seemed very degrading to him.

At this moment, being often entrusted with handling the Patriarch’s affairs, Lin Chencheng was naturally surrounded by inquiries regarding the ”mysterious guest” visiting this morning.

”Chencheng, do you know what kind of guest is coming? This time, the Patriarch even asked us all to stay and welcome him! This is quite rare!”

”Indeed, I remember two years ago, when the European merchant Lisichaiside visited, it was of such a scale! Could this guest also be some incredible business magnate?!”

”This is certainly extraordinary, Chencheng, do you have some insider information, care to share with us?”
