Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1975: Chapter 1538: Journey to South America (Part 3)

Behind the innermost workbench, a figure was engrossed in work.

When Bai Xiaosheng and the others entered, the person didn’t look up, apparently busy and unable to be distracted.

Bai Xiaosheng and the others held their breath, quietly admiring the various clocks and handcrafted items.

Nothing here was identical to another, yet everything was intricately crafted. Some were original, and some were secondary creations on old objects, looking quite interesting.

Lin Weiwei was captivated, eyes brimming with excitement, even Lei Ying nodded frequently.

Even Bai Xiaosheng found interest in many items.

While the three were absorbed in looking, several more people came in from outside.

Leading them was an elderly Asian woman, her face expressionless but her eyes held a hint of arrogance.

By the old woman’s side was a graceful beauty, about Lin Weiwei’s age, with a great figure, slightly tanned skin, and a mixed Asian appearance.

At this moment, the beauty looked around, her expression critical.

Behind them were two girls, following closely, carrying various bags, seemingly like attendants.

”This is the shop your grandfather mentioned he liked, I’ll buy a few things to take back for him this time. Sweetie, help me see what your grandfather might like,” the old woman said fluently in English, casually pointing around with a finger.

Her demeanor was very wealthy and imposing.

”Sure, I’m the best at picking things out,” the mixed-race beauty replied cheerfully, speaking fluent English as well.

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but frown.

Entering and being so noisy broke the tranquility, how annoying!

Even the shop owner seemed to raise his head slightly, giving a glance.

Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying exchanged a look and shook their heads quietly.

However, they didn’t have the right to tell the other party to keep quiet, especially since it was a group of women, who were hard to deal with.

If they had been men, the two might have intervened.

Considering the stereotype of ”bullying men and fearing women,” the two remained silent, continuing to study the items in the showcase.

Bai Xiaosheng was quite interested in an old-fashioned watch. It looked much like those produced in Huaxia in earlier times, except the dial had a different design with hollow and modified features, which looked very intriguing.

”Red Lotus, is this watch originally from Huaxia?” Bai Xiaosheng asked Red Lotus curiously in his mind.

After a search, Red Lotus informed Bai Xiaosheng that his guess was correct.

This was one of the first batches of watches produced after the founding of Huaxia, dating back to 1955.

The shopkeeper seemed to have added a second creative process, quite characteristic of Huaxia.

Also, based on the placement, it seemed very important to the shopkeeper!

Bai Xiaosheng immediately wanted the watch.

”This watch is nice, Grandma, Grandpa will definitely like it!” A small hand reached over, pointing directly at the watch Bai Xiaosheng was interested in.

Bai Xiaosheng looked up to see the old woman and her two attendants approaching.

The old lady sized up Bai Xiaosheng.

The mixed-race beauty also noticed Bai Xiaosheng, and upon seeing him still standing there, smiled, ”Please step aside!”

Then, she curiously asked Bai Xiaosheng, ”Are you a tourist? From UH Country or Russia?”

Bai Xiaosheng tried his best to tone down his aura, trying to appear ordinary, but the demeanor he displayed still set him apart from ordinary people.

”I’m from Huaxia,” Bai Xiaosheng said softly.

This answer made the mixed-race beauty’s smile freeze, showing a trace of regret in her eyes.

”Huaxia.” The old lady seemed to sneer lightly, her eyes even more arrogant.

”Step aside, we want to buy this watch,” the brown-skinned beauty directly said to Bai Xiaosheng, her tone lacking any reverence.

It seemed Huaxia people were beneath their notice.

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but frown. He didn’t want to bicker with women, but such rudeness really irked him.

Beside him, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying also had their faces turn cold.

However, being abroad, arguing with an old lady would indeed tarnish the image of Huaxia people, so Bai Xiaosheng simply turned and thought to leave.

”Ha, poor people, we were so glad when we managed to escape that damned place back then!” The old lady switched languages, speaking in Portuguese to the mixed-race beauty.

Just as Bai Xiaosheng was about to walk away, upon hearing this, his eyes turned cold.

”This is the watch, isn’t it? Looks pretty nice, buy it,” the old lady said.

”I’m sorry, but I’ve taken a liking to this watch!” Bai Xiaosheng turned back and said seriously to the old lady, ”With me, a Huaxia person here, you definitely won’t be able to buy it!”
