Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1990: Chapter 1546: Don’t Try to Fool Me Again! (Part 2)

Not only that, being stared at by this young man, Ruby had an extremely uncomfortable feeling.

It was as if... he was gradually being seen through!

Ruby couldn’t help but narrow his eyes, carefully scrutinizing Bai Xiaosheng. But upon a second look, he couldn’t feel that sensation from a moment ago.

This young Huaxia man’s appearance seemed nothing out of the ordinary.

This is strange, did I just misjudge?

Ruby was a bit puzzled; he closely examined Bai Xiaosheng again but still didn’t see the initial feeling of fear.

Bai Xiaosheng continued to smile.

In fact, he had just adjusted his aura a bit.

Fluent and flexible, not many in the world could achieve that.

The reason for doing so was that Bai Xiaosheng thought, before rescuing Daisy, it would be better to keep a bit of a ”low profile”.

Ruby couldn’t see any clues, so decided not to scrutinize Bai Xiaosheng’s expression anymore.

”You two, are you Miss Daisy’s friends, from Huaxia?”

Ruby took a puff of his cigar, speaking slowly, with a slightly arrogant expression, and asked Bai Xiaosheng who was in the lead.

Daisy glanced nervously at Bai Xiaosheng.

Please don’t give away anything in the first round of answers!

Daisy prayed in her heart.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled and nodded bluntly, ”Indeed.”

To Daisy, these two words sounded like Heaven’s Melody.

”Miss Daisy is our friend. Although we haven’t known each other long, we feel we cannot turn a blind eye to her affairs!” Bai Xiaosheng glanced at Daisy, affirming, ”Seeing her brought here by Mr. Ruby’s people, we came over to see if there’s an issue. If not, we’d like to take her away.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s words were a bit ”indiscreet”, but this answer allowed Daisy to breathe a sigh of relief.

Additionally, Bai Xiaosheng’s words deeply moved Daisy.

She had not expected that they came because they were worried about her after seeing her leave with the dark-faced guy!

Although these Huaxia people were merely acquaintances, they treated her extremely well, especially these two men, like older brothers!

Daisy felt a warmth in her heart.

”For you to recognize Miss Daisy as your friend, it seems you are indeed worthy of trust!” Ruby glanced at Daisy, beginning to believe her previous words.

”Since you are so worried about her safety, you surely don’t want anything to happen to her, right?”

Ruby smiled, ”Moreover, material things are insignificant compared to a person, aren’t they?”

”Don’t you agree?!”

Bai Xiaosheng looked at Mr. Ruby, waiting for his next words.

Daisy grew nervous again, guessing what Ruby would ask next.

”Hand over Miss Daisy’s belongings, and then I’ll let you go.” Ruby smiled, ”I keep my word. Once you hand over the items, I won’t lay a finger on you!”

Items?

What items?

Bai Xiaosheng looked at Daisy, Lei Ying also appeared surprised.

Their reactions were all seen by Mr. Ruby, whose eyes narrowed slightly.

”I secretly placed the item in the bag of the lady who was with them, she didn’t even know, so these two certainly didn’t either! That lady didn’t come along, Mr. Ruby, do you know why?” Daisy raised her voice, ”That’s because she is our real insurance, Mr. Ruby, I’m telling you, if you don’t let us go, she will call the police and notify my master, then when the time comes...”

Daisy’s quick words made Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying exchange glances.

However, they quickly understood.

Daisy was lying to Mr. Ruby to threaten him.

What a clever and bold girl! Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying silently praised.

But just as they complimented Daisy in their hearts, a clear and sharp voice interrupted them—

”Miss Daisy!”

Mr. Ruby barked loudly, interrupting Daisy’s speech.

Daisy instinctively looked at Ruby.

Mr. Ruby chuckled coldly at her, ”Do you think I, I, Mr. Ruby, am a complete idiot, a fool?”

Daisy didn’t understand why Ruby was being so frank.

Mr. Ruby continued, ”Open your eyes and take a good look around! Could an idiot, a fool, build such a large enterprise?”

Ruby then sank back into his seat, pointing at Daisy with the hand holding the cigar, reproaching, ”I’ve already doubted you weren’t telling the truth! How, now you’re still trying to fool me?!”

”One lie must be covered by a hundred more!”

Ruby pointed at Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying, ”Look, even they were confused just now. You’re still trying to fool me saying you had a backup plan! Don’t try to deceive me!”

Ruby grew more infuriated as he spoke, not forgetting to take a deep puff of his cigar, continuing, ”The most likely thing you did was hide the item on your accomplices, but you absolutely didn’t leave any backup plan! Prepared to call the police, to notify your master? You’ve watched too many movies!”

”Do you know, you are deceiving the kind-hearted, sincere Mr. Ruby!”

Ruby, with overwhelming momentum, decisively exposed Daisy’s lie.

Daisy, ultimately just a cunning little girl, lacking composure, was momentarily flustered.

This confirmed Ruby’s suspicions, leading to a continuous cold smile on his face.

”Now, Huaxia people, call your companion, have her bring the extra item in her bag to me!” Ruby said, ”I can overlook your blunder, and Miss Daisy’s deception as well.”
