Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 1983: Chapter 1542: Hitting People Is Wrong!

Bai Xiaosheng and his companions were on their journey to South America, but everything seemed to be offset by timing. They visited Madam Qin, only to find she wasn’t home. They thought to go ahead with work by visiting the head of the South American district, but he was out on a business trip, making it a dead-end on both sides.

Bai Xiaosheng and the others exchanged helpless glances.

”Sheng, what should we do now?” Lin Weiwei asked timidly.

Lei Ying also looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

”What else can we do, we’ll just have to wait until they’re back,” Bai Xiaosheng said powerlessly. Then he looked at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, and suggested, ”Why don’t we... stay here and enjoy ourselves for a few days?”

Bai Xiaosheng’s suggestion instantly made Lin Weiwei beam with joy, even cheering.

Lei Ying chuckled and said, ”I’ll call Zi Yue later and see if she needs us to bring anything.”

Bai Xiaosheng gave a speechless smile at the two, but soon he also laughed.

”I’m not slacking off this time, it’s all due to circumstances!” Bai Xiaosheng made an excuse for himself.

After they finished their coffee, Bai Xiaosheng called Xiahou Qi to update him on the situation, and then took Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying out to experience this exotic atmosphere.

The food, clothing, and entertainment here were vastly different from Huaxia; it was truly exotic.

Various tropical fruits, barbecue, clay-pot stews, and seafood hotpots made their mouths water.

The fast-paced Samba music, and even people street dancing and performing.

Bai Xiaosheng and his company indulged themselves, sincerely feeling relaxed and happy.

By nightfall, the streets became more crowded, resembling a bustling market as young people gathered.

From Red Lotus, Bai Xiaosheng learned that this was simply local youth attending parties and events.

One could say this is a city of enjoyment without worries.

Though, of course, this isn’t to say the public safety here is perfectly reassuring. Bai Xiaosheng and company witnessed someone stealing a foreign tourist’s camera on the beach, causing them to become more vigilant.

”It seems there’s no city free from crime, even if one exists, criminals will flock to it,” Bai Xiaosheng remarked.

The trio continued on their journey of fun, and as evening fell, they decided it was time to return to the hotel, realizing they were in a spot where it was hard to catch a taxi amid traffic congestion.

”Let’s walk back and find a shortcut; it won’t be far,” Bai Xiaosheng said as he flipped through his phone’s map.

In fact, the shortcut had already formed in Bai Xiaosheng’s mind, as a single thought from him could make Red Lotus retrieve a suitable path.

Bai Xiaosheng opted for the ”shortest,” and Red Lotus provided the quickest route it could find, which the map ostensibly confirmed.

”I know the way now; let me lead you back,” Bai Xiaosheng pretended to glance at his phone and said to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

Naturally, they trusted him.

The trio immediately cut through streets and alleys, heading towards the hotel.

Only halfway through did Bai Xiaosheng realize they had entered a slum area.

Just like light, shadows cannot be avoided; even in the most developed cities, there’s always a rundown area, known in the West as a—slum.

Dimly lit streetlights, dirty surroundings, graffiti with violent vibes, faint curse words, barking of dogs, and groups of burly men with tattooed arms, malevolent gazes, and bottles in hand surrounded them, making Bai Xiaosheng increasingly uneasy.

This shortest path didn’t seem particularly safe!

Lei Ying also vigilantly kept an eye on their surroundings.

Unlike the two men, Lin Weiwei looked at everything curiously, taking it as a novel experience, not worried about her safety.

After all, in Lin Weiwei’s eyes, with Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying by her side, even a gathering of wolves and leopards posed no threat!

Who dares to harbor ill intentions towards her is simply courting death!

Perhaps due to Lei Ying’s intimidating presence, their journey drew some attention but no one approached them. The only exception was a drunkard who sidled up, and Bai Xiaosheng swiftly handed him a small-denomination bill, sending him off in a different direction with a gentle push.

As they were about to exit the slum, Bai Xiaosheng let out a relieved breath.

However, passing a narrow alleyway, they heard a woman’s terrified scream, ”Help!”

Shortly followed by another cry, ”No!”

Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying frowned, exchanging a glance as Lin Weiwei was startled.

Soon, a small figure stumbled out ahead, clutching her chest with both hands, followed closely by several figures.

”Don’t let her escape!”

”Grab her, the vile woman!”

”Damn it, when we catch you, I’ll break your legs!”

The men shouted, belittling her.

The petite figure ran under the streetlight, revealing to Bai Xiaosheng and company that she was a brown-skinned girl, slightly younger than Lin Weiwei, quite attractive, though her clothes were torn and her eyes filled with terror.

On their first day into this foreign land, they encountered such a vicious incident!

Bai Xiaosheng frowned deeply.

The girl suddenly noticed people ahead, and seeing a particularly tall and strong man, panicked even more, stumbling, she fell.

The pursuers also discovered Bai Xiaosheng and the others, and eyed them warily.

But seeing they were foreigners and there was a woman among them, they paid little attention.

”You filthy bitch, let’s see you run now!”

The leader of the chasers kicked the fallen woman heavily in the abdomen, causing her small frame to roll away.

Another person gleefully ran over, ready to kick the woman.

The woman’s anguished screams in the dark were particularly heartbreaking.

”Stop it, you guys!” Lin Weiwei yelled angrily.

As a girl, she’s the softest-hearted, especially unable to stand such a scene.

”Shut up, woman!” someone pointed at Lin Weiwei, ordering her tersely.

Two men continued kicking the fallen girl.

Lin Weiwei became increasingly furious, striding forward.

The man who ordered Lin Weiwei to shut up was stunned as he saw her not only fearless but approaching them.

A man with his back to Lin Weiwei, engrossed in kicking the woman on the ground, suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder, he turned around instinctively.

With a resounding ”slap,” he was stunned, looking incredulously at Lin Weiwei, bewildered.

He had been slapped by a woman in public?!

Even the man who had yelled at Lin Weiwei was startled.

The others also stopped in disbelief, looking at Lin Weiwei.

They had seen many fierce foreign women. Those big white women would shout at them, threatening to call the police. But Asian women usually were timid; yet here was an Asian woman who boldly came up and slapped them, she was the first!

”FUCK!” The man who received the slap snapped back, immediately enraged, reaching out to grab Lin Weiwei’s neck.

He intended to teach this Asian woman a lesson!

Hit her, tear her clothes...

Faced with this, Lin Weiwei was utterly fearless, not even dodging.

Ridiculous, would she charge in foolishly for no reason?

Ridiculous, did they really think she had no protection?

Before the man’s hand could touch Lin Weiwei, he was kicked in the abdomen, collapsing straight to his knees.

Bai Xiaosheng stood on Lin Weiwei’s left, expressionless, looking down and asked, ”Do you understand that there’s still law in this world, do you know, hitting people is wrong.”

Hearing someone speak of law and yet act so decisively, the other men were also bewildered...

Tonight, they encountered such peculiar foreigners.

One of them eyed fiercely, silently picked up a stone from the ground, darted over, and swung it down at Bai Xiaosheng’s head.

This was a ruthless individual!

Yet in a blink of an eye, he was sent flying several meters, crashing to the ground, knocked out cold.

Lei Ying stood on Lin Weiwei’s right, drawing back his huge fists, coldly looking at the group, saying, ”Seems you don’t understand, let us teach you!”
