The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 499: Chapter 499: Happy to Be a Father

Song Ci beamed as she held Niu Pan’er’s hand, giving it a pat, feeling like she could jump three feet high.

Impressive, her young daughter-in-law was truly impressive!

If it weren’t for the need to stabilize the pregnancy, she would have taken Niu Pan’er for a stroll.

See that? No need for mages or nuns, married less than a year, and already pregnant.

My daughter-in-law is amazing!

”Mother...” Niu Pan’er was a bit emotional, touching her belly, she couldn’t believe there was a little life quietly growing there.

”Don’t talk, just lie down, don’t go outside. Your sisters-in-law are taking care of the guests, you don’t need to.” Song Ci said with a smile.

Niu Pan’er nodded.

”Lin Qing, do you think Pan’er should take some fetus-preserving medicine?”

Lin Qing was sitting on the side, holding a pen, smilingly said, ”The Commandery Princess has always practiced martial arts, her health is good, and she has been taking medicine to regulate her body, things should be fine. But since she’s newly pregnant, she originally had some cold in her palace, to be safe, she should take two doses.”

Niu Pan’er, hearing this, became a bit nervous and said, ”Are two doses enough? Should I take more?”

Lin Qing shook her head with a smile, ”Fetus-preserving medicine is still medicine, don’t take it unnecessarily.”

”Exactly, listen to Lin Qing, do whatever she says, see your second sister-in-law, she was taken care of by Lin Qing during her pregnancy, trusting her is right.” Song Ci said.

”Then I’ll listen to Mother and Doctor Lin,”

Song Ci nodded with satisfaction, thinking that without any elders at Prince Dingbei’s Mansion, she wondered if Niu Pan’er should move back home for her pregnancy care.

Just as she was about to speak, there came the sound of loud shouting from outside.

Oh well, the child’s father had arrived!

Song Zhiyu rushed in like a gust of wind, not even reaching them before anxiously asking, ”What’s going on? How did she start vomiting? Has the Imperial Physician arrived?”

Niu Pan’er looked over, a smile forming in her eyes.

Song Ci raised an eyebrow and gave Lin Qing a knowing look, who smiled and rose to her feet.

Song Zhiyu, seeing Song Ci, called out haphazardly, then approached the bed, staring at Niu Pan’er, ”What’s wrong with you? Where are you uncomfortable? I’m just saying, getting up before dawn every day to practice with swords, being able to eat two bowls of rice, how did you get sick?”

”Blockhead!”

Niu Pan’er glared at him playfully, but couldn’t hide her joy because she saw the worry in his eyes.

Song Zhiyu glared back, ”You scold me after I ask you, you’re so capable now, if you’re so capable, don’t get sick.”

”I’m not sick.” Niu Pan’er chided with a laugh, noticing that everyone else had left the room, leaving just the two of them, she reached out to grab his hand.

Song Zhiyu quipped, ”Speak properly, no need for touching.”

His mouth was sulky, but he didn’t pull his hand away.

Niu Pan’er gently pressed his hand against her belly.

Song Zhiyu: ”...”

This woman is unbelievable, wanting to be amorous in broad daylight?

”What are you doing, there are still many guests outside, if you’re fine, I should go out, can’t be hiding out here with you.” Song Zhiyu muttered awkwardly, ”At least wait until the banquet is over, why the rush.”

Niu Pan’er: ”...”

She slapped Song Zhiyu’s hand, bursting into laughter, ”What nonsense are you thinking in that head of yours? You fool, I’m trying to tell you, you’re going to be a father!”

Indeed, with this fool, you can’t be coy like other girls; you have to say it straight, or he’d misunderstand to the ends of the earth!

Song Zhiyu was stunned.

”What did you say?”

Becoming a father?

”That’s right, I’m pregnant, and you’re joyfully becoming a dad!” Niu Pan’er said, touching her belly.

Song Zhiyu’s mind exploded.

Damn, half a year of marriage wasn’t in vain!
