The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 492: Chapter 492: The Sister-Protecting Maniac

The third day after the birth of the fourth Miss of the Song Family, guests filled the hall.

Chunhui Hall, where Song Ci resided, entertained a group of elderly sisters who lavished compliments on each other, while in the east wing belonging to Madam Jiang, a few little children sneaked in quietly.

”She looks so small, so soft, so pretty,” Wan Yicheng leaned against the bedframe, blinking his big eyes while gazing at the baby girl in the crib, his eyes sparkling.

”Iron Head, you must be blind, calling her pretty when she looks like a wrinkled little monkey?” Song Lingzhao rolled his eyes dramatically, saying, ”This is the ugliest girl I’ve ever seen. Alas, what will she do in the future? Being this ugly, who would want her?”

As the elder brother, Song Lingzhao was already starting to worry about his little sister’s marriage prospects.

Little Sister Song: Let’s sever the sibling relationship, you blockhead!

Wan Yicheng laughed, ”Second Brother Song, I heard people say that newborn babies all look like this. They’ll grow out and become prettier as they age.”

”That’s just self-comfort. You can tell from childhood; she’s just ugly,” Song Lingzhao disagreed.

Song Lingjie said coolly, ”I’ve noted what you said and will tell little sister about it in the future.”

Let’s see if he’s still so tough then!

Song Lingzhao: ”You!”

Catching sight of Wan Yicheng’s hand reaching towards his little sister, Song Lingzhao immediately widened his eyes and unhesitatingly slapped his hand away, saying, ”Don’t touch her!”

Wan Yicheng rubbed his hand, feeling wronged, and said, ”I just wanted to feel how soft her face is.”

”No! Men and women should not touch! You’re an outsider; you should behave.” Song Lingzhao sternly said, staring at him.

Song Lingjie rolled his eyes to the sky, thinking, a seven-year-old kid and a little baby, what etiquette!

”Second Brother Song, you were just saying Yuanyuan was ugly, and now you’re protecting her,” Wan Yicheng muttered.

Upon hearing this, Song Lingzhao said, ”It’s different; I’m her real brother. I can dislike her and tease her, but no one else is allowed to.”

Wan Yicheng and Song Lingjie: ”...”

He truly was a brother who said one thing but meant another, constantly criticizing yet becoming a protective brother demon.

Wan Yicheng decided not to argue with him and took out a small wallet from his pocket, pulling out a gold-plated jade longevity lock tied with a red string, handing it to the nanny, Madam Zhao, who was watching.

”Upon hearing about Yuanyuan’s birth, I specially went to find a high monk at the Royal Temple to bless and consecrate this longevity lock. Can you pin it on for her? It will bless her with safety and growth.”

Song Lingjie glanced at the lock, seeing that it looked light and delicate, seemingly custom-made, showing thoughtfulness.

Madam Zhao received it with both hands and respectfully bowed to Wan Yicheng, ”On behalf of the fourth Miss, this servant thanks you, Little Marquis.”

She weighed the lock, finding it not heavy, and then fastened it to the small pouch of the swaddling clothes.

Seeing this, Wan Yicheng was in a great mood, smiling brightly.

Song Lingzhao thought to himself, that Little Iron Head really knows how to show respect, yet he himself hadn’t given any gifts for his sister’s birth; he should find something later.

At the door of the wing, Madam Jiang leaned on the hand of Nanny Gu and looked toward the crib, smiling with her eyes squinted before slowly walking to the bedside.

”Madam, you must be relieved now?” Nanny Gu smiled and helped her lie back down.

Madam Jiang said, ”Don’t laugh at me; having gotten a daughter with difficulty, not seeing her a few times a day leaves my heart feeling empty. If only I could keep her tied to my side and never out of sight, then I’d be at ease.”

Nanny Gu chuckled and said, ”Then you must take good care of yourself, or how will you have the energy to care for the fourth Miss? During this month of confinement, what’s most important is still you; the children all rely on you.”

Madam Jiang nodded with a smile, truly agreeing!
