The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 452: Chapter 452: Trying to Steal a Chicken Only to Lose the Rice

Empress Dowager Wang was evidently displeased with a few illegitimate daughters of the Uncle’s Mansion, making the scene a bit awkward.

The pair of twin girls who were singled out turned deathly pale with fright, their bodies trembling nonstop, shaking like a sieve, and their tears uncontrollably falling in large drops.

Seeing this, Empress Dowager Wang became even more displeased and said with mild annoyance, ”I was merely asking a couple of questions, how did this lead to crying? One might think I was making things difficult for the young girls.”

Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion was so frightened that she immediately knelt and said, ”Please forgive me, Your Ladyship. It is my failure in education that caused these little girls to displease you.” She glared at Lady Ru with severity and said, ”Why don’t you quickly lead them away?”

Lady Ru hastily apologized and led the people away. The remaining Zhao Yuxian was also a bit panicked, trying her best to appear calm, and knelt next to the Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion.

”Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion, are you here at the villa to soak in hot springs? Why did you bring these people along, and did County Lord Chunping not accompany you? At the very least, there’s still County Lord Hehui, right?”

The Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion was somewhat embarrassed, stammering, ”Ming Yao is engaged, and the Commandery Princess is currently helping her learn to manage the household, so...”

In fact, Commandery Princess Chunping had not visited the Uncle’s Mansion since mid-autumn, and it was unclear how long the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law had not seen each other.

Empress Dowager Wang was tired of the troubles of the Uncle’s Mansion and said indifferently, ”Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion, educating children should be done more seriously. Luckily, the Chief of Staff’s family is most focused on rules and etiquette; it would be appropriate to have them teach the girls some discipline.”

Madam Li, who was merely observing: ”???”

Am I being caught in the crossfire while lying down?

The Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion turned ashen, forcing a smile and said, ”You are right, Your Ladyship. We should request some palace nannies to come down and teach the girls discipline.”

Empress Dowager Wang chuckled, thinking, you want to flaunt by having me bestow nannies on you? Dream on.

”Commandery Princess Chunping’s manners are also acceptable. As the Lady, she is most suitable for educating them.” Empress Dowager Wang said calmly.

”Yes, Your Ladyship is right.” The Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion’s mouth felt bitter, wishing she had not come, as it ended in failure despite attempting to gain an advantage.

Seeing the situation was about to fizzle out, Lady Li smiled and said, ”Empress Dowager, you have admonished them enough, let us have the Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion and others stand up now, so they don’t get their legs cold on the tiles.”

For the sake of Lady Li, the Empress Dowager said, ”Rise.”

The Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion thanked her for her grace, casting a grateful look towards Lady Li, and upon returning to her seat, felt like she was sitting on pins and needles, wishing to leave immediately.

Lady Li added, ”Empress Dowager, the Steward of the palace just mentioned that they caught a deer, how about having venison stew tonight?”

Empress Dowager Wang’s eyes lit up, glancing at Song Ci, ”Ah Ci, what do you think?”

”A whole deer, having it as stew is certainly good, we can also cut some tender parts to roast, delicious for the mouth, and the children love it.” Song Ci suggested with a smile, I also enjoy it.

”That sounds wonderful.” Empress Dowager Wang nodded, looking at Lady Li, ”Have them save all the deer blood with food boxes, divide them up and send them to several prince’s residences to nourish them well so they can soon give me great-grandchildren.”

Lady Li covered her mouth with a light laugh, ”I will follow Your Ladyship’s instructions.”

Song Ci gave Empress Dowager Wang a thumbs up, a model grandmother indeed!

Seeing this, everyone felt uncomfortable in their hearts, knowing that the Empress Dowager was very lenient with the Song Family, not expecting such extreme leniency, treating Madam Song like her own sister.

Madam Li, who had always disliked Song Ci’s crudeness, didn’t dare to speak recklessly this time, afraid of displeasing Empress Dowager Wang and ending up embarrassed like Madam of the Uncle’s Mansion.
