I AM the Football Star

”It’s a goal! Lu Yang scored! He made a spectacular elevator-like free-kick goal at the last minute! Helping the team win 3-1 against Ascoli!”

”A brand-new record has appeared! Eleven league matches, Lu Yang scored twenty goals! He has set the fastest twenty-goal record in Serie B!”

”In the last match, Morici made ten assists in ten league games, just breaking the record for the fastest ten assists in Serie B. Now Lu Yang has also set a record! San Remo is truly a record-smashing machine!”

”Canyes has been completely activated in the right-back position, so far he has achieved impressive stats of one goal and five assists, possessing the powerful assisting ability that the current Italy National Team’s right-backs lack!”

”Italy was accustomed to playing three-back formations, only switching to four-backs under Vincent’s insistence a year ago, but both Praxedes and Bernulin are very good at three-back formations, so Vincent could definitely bring Canyes along for a try.”

”That’s right! Canyes’ defensive issues can be well compensated in the Italy National Team, but his assisting ability is irreplaceable!”

”Similarly, Morici is also an outstanding midfielder. His ability to assist is too strong, and he has chemistry with Lu Yang, not bringing Morici along with Lu Yang is like not having instructions!”

”Bernulin scored in a header attack this match, which is definitely a great omen!”

”As the fourth captain of the Italy National Team, does Bernulin’s goal imply that Italy can score in the upcoming European Cup playoffs?”

”Lastly, Lu Yang’s current form is really blazing hot; this season he only has one match without scoring, this kind of shooting touch really makes people reassured.”

”An Italy National Team with Lu Yang will surely make a new breakthrough!”

The eleventh round of Serie B is fully concluded.

San Remo wins again, maintaining the top spot in the standings and starting to widen the gap with the second and third places.

The league is rock solid, that’s what San Remo signifies.

Two days later, Vincent announced the 23-man squad for this period’s national team.

Among them, Lu Yang and Morici are prominently listed!

Canyes had some momentum before but ultimately failed to make it into this European Cup playoffs squad.

And Kolber missed the opportunity due to injury.

In fact, Morici’s position might originally have belonged to Kolber.

After this roster announcement, the whole of Italy responded positively.

If you didn’t look at the results, you might even think Vincent announced Italy’s qualification for the playoffs.

This is really hard to comprehend.

But actually, it fully reflects the severe issue of player selection for the Italy National Team.

Even though as the national team coach, you can’t rely on online news, forums, or the football community to select players.

But if each of your selections faces much criticism from everyone, then it shows your selection definitely has problems.

Lu Yang belongs to this category.

Maybe before the European Youth Championship, not bringing Lu Yang was fine.

At that time, Lu Yang was more about being specially promoted.

But after leading Italy to end the championship drought at the European Youth Championship, not selecting Lu Yang for the national team was a problem in selection.

Two summonses, four matches, not bringing Lu Yang even once.

It’s simply unreasonable.

And now, finally... dawn has arrived!

In response, the Italian community has expressed celebration and anticipation.

Captain of the Italy Team, Gate God of Italy, One of the world’s top goalkeepers, Audi publicly stated: ”Welcome these two new faces this time, hope they can bring something different to the national team.”

”We need fresh blood!”

”You mean Lu? I know him, I know him very well, he made a title missing from my trophy cabinet, the Italian Super Cup!”

”Someone always tells me this kid’s shooting is unstoppable, Ameluci tells me countless times, even I can’t block his shots! So I’ve always wanted to try it myself!”

Vice-captain of Italy, AC Milan’s distinguished captain, Strong candidate for best left-back in the world, Praxedes: ”Not talking about Lu Yang, we are still friends! Of course, this is just a joke!”

”If Lu Yang is your opponent, trust me, you will suffer... okay, guys, stop laughing, we were overturned 3-0 twice in a row last year, this is the pain for all AC Milan fans.”

”We will surely return the loss! Whether it’s Liverpool or San Remo!”

”But now, please allow me to first welcome Lu’s joining.”

”No one can refuse such a teammate if you’ve played football with him. I hope he can bring the pain he brought me, also to his opponents this time, Sweden Team!”

Sweden!

Italy’s playoff rival is the not strong nor weak Sweden Team.

Sweden Team is weak because they rarely achieve eye-catching results on major occasions.

But Sweden Team is strong because they always have some powerful stars in their squad.

A fortunate news for Italy Team is that this Sweden Team doesn’t have a superstar.

But the bad news is that during a friendly match earlier this year, Italy lost to Sweden 1-2.

Bernulin: ”Captain Lu is finally here! Trust me, he can do anything on the football field, the things you can think of and those you can’t.”

Bernulin’s statement made people laugh and cry.

Because Bernulin is the fourth captain of Italy Team but calls Lu Yang ”Captain Lu.”

This clearly refers to Captain Lu of San Remo.
