I AM the Football Star

I believe most people are unfamiliar with him.

Including San Remo fans.

But actually... this player, known as the King of the Bench, was transferred from Bologna to San Remo for four million euros this summer.

His arrival was partly to strengthen San Remo’s front line and partly as a precaution in case the team couldn’t keep Sogel, avoiding a situation where no central forward was available.

A team like San Remo, any well-known player is impossible to come as a substitute.

After all, it’s just Serie B, and a new team in Serie B at that.

If you want to buy someone as a starter, they might consider it, but as a substitute?

Sorry!

So although Calafiori wasn’t the best choice, he was the only relatively decent card San Remo could get at the time.

But after Calafiori arrived, San Remo discovered — he’s a mere chicken rib!

For central forward, since Sogel stayed, he’s bound to have a starting position.

And Sogel, young, with good stamina, a good attitude, still rapidly improving, without the delay of national team games, he played almost every match, enjoying it immensely.

Where was there time for Calafiori to be a substitute?

As for wingers, this season Lu Yang often played in the winger position.

Even Belletti, who had high efficiency last season, didn’t get much playtime, and Calafiori had to fall even further behind Belletti.

Moreover, Calafiori is neither tall nor strong, positioned as a technical central forward, not meeting San Remo’s tactical requirements for a large central pivot forward, so he hardly participated in official games early on.

More often, he sat on the bench or trained with the team during practice matches.

But no rush.

Including Belletti, Calafiori, and Matias, these players won’t lack game time in the second half of the season.

Starting from December, San Remo will enter a three-front battle mode, and by then, only exhausted players will come out, while no strong warrior will be left without play.

Moreover... San Remo bought Calafiori also to give Bai Zhami a bit of good luck.

Calafiori’s title as King of the Bench is well-known in the Italian League, and his good-luck mascot attributes often appear in various football roundups.

Florence’s Carrel, Inter Milan’s Gutierrez, Bologna’s Kolber, their success can be said to have none without Calafiori’s presence.

The result San Remo did not anticipate was that Calafiori’s mascot attributes indeed worked, but this time, it activated not Bai Zhami, but San Remo’s new frontline — Lu Winger!

So internally, Calafiori mixes quite well, the young players all respect him, everyone wants Brother Ka to bring them some fortune.

But in the eyes of fans, the Calafiori trade was a loss.

So San Remo fans rarely mention Calafiori.

And during the player entrance of this match, Bologna fans burst into laughter.

This laughter was undoubtedly directed at Calafiori on the bench.

Calafiori stayed in Bologna for so long, played quite a few matches, but kept the total goals scored to under five, which was ridiculous.

When he left, imagine how happy Bologna fans were.

Fans who can’t relate, just think of Real Madrid’s Hazard, and you’ll pretty much get the idea.

Whistle blows!

With a whistle sound, the match kicks off.

Since the opponent’s strength is strong enough, San Remo came out with a 4-3-3 lineup today, no need to elaborate.

The only personnel change was Lam replacing Latu Yidi.

Latu Yidi probably won’t be on the field for the short term, as he has already undergone surgery with a recovery period of three to four months.

Moreover, even after recovery, given his advanced age of thirty-three, the available combat strength remains unknown.

This not only made Sotu, who just finished tangling with UEFA, start to ponder San Remo’s winter reinforcements.

Previously, Lu Yang seemed to say that the little black guy from Ness was pretty good?

In the last game, the little black guy played brilliantly and helped Ness draw 0-0 with Red Bull!

This really caught everyone’s attention.

Since the encounter with San Remo in the European Competition, Ness’s performance completely declined.

They have not won in four consecutive rounds in Ligue 1, losing two of those.

This is definitely not the level a Ligue 1 fifth place team should be at.

Their current record has slipped to ninth in Ligue 1.

In this, Kaint’s performance could be called catastrophic.

The battle with San Remo exposed Kaint’s fatal flaws to the Ligue 1 teams.

As long as a tall player holds the ball, Kaint becomes completely helpless.

His static ability is too poor, and his active offensive ability is nearly zero; unless he gets running and defending, it’s practically like having one fewer player on the field.

Ness’s opponents mostly adopted the trick invented by Lu Yang and Morici, to leave Kaint alone.

Then everyone could enjoy Kaint’s ridiculous passes and shots.

It was simply a disaster.

Yet every time Kaint made a mistake, he would face the camera and display a pure smile.

Who can bear that?

Now the biggest demand from Ness fans is for the head coach to bench Kaint, and it seems that Ness’s head coach has indeed done so in recent games, but Ness still hasn’t achieved victory.

They are in trouble.

”If this little guy’s passing doesn’t improve, he really might be finished,” Sotu was also worried about this, constantly letting scouts focus on Kaint’s passing.

Midfielders, you might not be able to attack, but you must know how to pass.
