I AM the Football Star

Chapter 558: Chapter 150: Here’s the Bicycle Kick You Wanted!

Of course, Belletti is experienced and knows how to handle such a dire situation.

Pass the ball quickly.

Don’t show off when the ball’s at your feet.

Act honestly.

Of course, at the right moment, you can also strike hard at others.

Although the main referee is witless today, Sotu’s substitutions seem almost like he’s cheating.

Belletti was on the pitch for less than three minutes before his fancy positioning earned him a great opportunity down the flank.

Bai Zhami was stunned on the bench, wasn’t it agreed not to show off?

Belletti smiled slightly, the latter part of the sentence is that when you’re confident, a little flair isn’t harmful.

Is the opponent going to bite you or what?

Bang!

With no one defending him, Belletti drew the opponent’s right-back over and then made a cross.

In the penalty box, Sogel was ready and waiting.

Sogel has had almost no attack opportunities today since it’s been very tough to successfully reach the baseline.

Zenit Ning Yuan would rather foul than let San Remo succeed in getting the ball to the baseline; Canyes and Bai Zhami were close to having their legs broken.

And Lu...Sorry, Brother Lu can hit the goal, never passing the ball.

If you can score, why bother assisting?

Didn’t you see how brilliant that small-angle goal just was?

Honestly, if Lu Yang really passes the ball to a better-positioned Sogel when he has the opportunity to hit the goal, Sogel would be under pressure.

Because if he couldn’t score, wouldn’t he be letting Brother Lu’s goodwill go to waste?

Moreover, his scoring probability when he has a good opportunity isn’t much higher than Lu Yang’s probability at regular times.

This is the pressure that excellent teammates exert on players.

Just like when Messi holds the ball, other players are reluctant to move or dribble, fearing that Messi will pass the ball to them. Because no matter how hard they try, their dribbling success rate will never match Messi’s.

In this regard, Manchester United’s Sancho feels it too; when C Luo passes the ball to him, his legs go weak because there’s no way his shots can be stronger than C Luo’s, even if his position is better.

But Belletti seemed to know that Sogel had no desire to shoot today and didn’t pass it to him.

Instead, he passed to Lu Yang at the far end within the penalty box!

Belletti-Lu Connection!

”Oh no, this ball is overpassed!”

”Lu Yang ran too far, the ball’s landing spot is behind him!”

”Lu Yang turns, with his back to the goal, if he stops it like this, he won’t be able to shoot immediately.”

”Too bad! Belletti just got on the field and hasn’t found the team’s rhythm yet.”

Amid everyone’s sighs.

Lu Yang leapt high and suddenly flipped backward.

Bang!

An overhead kick!

The entire stadium shivered in excitement!

Overhead kick!

Lu Yang is actually attempting an overhead kick?

This...

The Zenit goalkeeper was totally focused.

Due to the ample distance, he had plenty of time to react.

The overhead was stunning, but he had a 90% chance of saving it.

But then...

Bang!

The ball hit the back of Sogel’s head.

Sogel was just about to turn and watch Brother Lu’s spectacular shot.

Unexpectedly, pain struck the back of his head.

The next moment, the small contingent of San Remo fans who traveled to St. Petersburg got excited.

”Overhead! Overhead! Overhead!”

On the field, San Remo players were also firing up.

The commentator spoke incredulously: ”Unbelievable! Lu Yang’s overhead kick hit teammate Sogel on the back of the head, and the ball ricocheted in, scoring!”

”This is an amazing overhead kick! Although the scorer is Sogel, we still have to congratulate Lu Yang, his assist is absolutely brilliant!”

”This is the best assist of the UEFA Europa League round, without exception!”

”A fortuitous accident! Although Lu Yang’s overhead didn’t directly break Zenit’s goal, it assisted teammate Sogel!”

”Sogel was just in the right place to score! Picking up this goal by chance!”

”Look at Zenit’s goalkeeper reaction; had the ball not hit Sogel, it very likely would have been saved!”

”Overhead! This is the overhead you’ve been looking for!”

San Remo players gathered together, still chanting ”overhead” incessantly.

Just a moment ago, it was used to mock Lu Yang, but now it’s become words to ridicule themselves.

Three to two!

San Remo takes the lead for the third time in the match!

Lu Yang with two goals and one assist, performance dazzling!

If you consider his single-game performance, he’s even better than the La Liga duo!

Lu Yang’s fans began patrolling where the La Liga fans, Real Madrid fans, Barça fans congregated.

Can Real Madrid and Barça fans take this lying down?

They immediately launched a fierce counterattack.

Their war of words escalated even further, more intense than the match in St. Petersburg.

”This dumb thing deserves praise? The overhead didn’t score, what’s there to flaunt?”

”Do your duo have any record of assists from an overhead? On what grounds can’t this be flaunted?”

”Ha, the overhead was of poor quality; if the big central forward hadn’t blocked it, it would have been saved!”

”Indeed, such a big difference from Enriquez’s overhead!”

”Can’t even compare with Mancini’s overhead!”

”Rookies are rookies! Getting excited over an assist; better not compare with the La Liga duo, cause real superstars always compete in scoring!”

”Exactly! Assisting doesn’t make you a superstar, scoring does!”

”This overhead might as well be part of a blooper reel, still brag about it?”

”An overhead breakout, an overhead assist, tried so many times without scoring, hilarious!”
