I AM the Football Star

Chapter 396: Chapter 114: Andrés’ Redemption, [Super Football] Column_4

At the end of the call, Andrés expressed his gratitude to Lu Yang and the other person. He roughly knew what he needed to do.

...

China, at a certain barbecue stall.

”Football Sports” newspaper is currently the number one football media in the country, and its editor Luo Cheng is also a special guest commentator on the CCTV Sports Channel.

Rumor has it that he will become one of the hosts of a newly planned program on the CCTV Sports Channel called ”Super Football.”

”Coach Luo, is it true? You’re really hitting the jackpot!” Luo Cheng’s friend teased him.

Having a program on CCTV is almost an official endorsement for Luo Cheng.

Thus, the title of the number one in domestic football media almost undeniably belongs to Luo Cheng.

Luo Cheng’s friends were all very happy for him.

”More or less, just a supporting role for a young lady. Actually, the program is mainly to promote her. She has a very strong family background with solid connections at CCTV.” Luo Cheng disclosed some insider information to his friends, ”I’m mainly responsible for providing professional content advice, while she will lead the entire program.”

”I got this opportunity because they watched my program and read my column, felt I was professional, so they were willing to collaborate.”

”Overall, I kind of benefited from her influence.”

His friends nodded, indicating that they understood.

”What’s the main content of your program?” a friend asked.

Upon this question, Luo Cheng became alert: ”Currently, the highest-traffic football show is ’World Football News.’ I’ve studied their model and they mainly focus their efforts on European Football.”

”Especially the Premier League and Bundesliga. Many of the well-known stars and stories today were uncovered by them. So we plan to take a leaf out of their book, initially focusing on uncovering unique stars from Ligue 1 and La Liga, using professionalism and uniqueness to attract fans.”

”The theme for the first episode is still undecided, with a few options in consideration. One is an in-depth personal interview documentary on the super talented Pablo Enríquez from Real Madrid in La Liga.”

”But negotiations with Real Madrid are not easy. Their commercial success means not every program is qualified to collaborate with them.”

”The second option is to follow the France Youth National Team, documenting the European Youth Championship this summer from their perspective. But this idea actually comes from ’World Football News,’ and they are following the England Youth Team with multiple collaborations.”

”In terms of strength, the England Youth Team is much stronger than the France Youth National Team this year! Choosing this idea would likely end up being overshadowed by ’World Football News,’ making it a fallback option.”

”The third option is to delve deeply into this year’s Champions League final! The Istanbul night, Liverpool’s incredible comeback, AC Milan’s devastating loss, all very topical events.”

”But the same issue arises; we have no collaboration with the Premier League, and Liverpool’s side might not cooperate. As for AC Milan... Italian football has not been what it used to be these past few years, with all the attention escaping to the other four major leagues. Seeking collaboration with Serie A now is somewhat behind the times.”

Several old football mates are discussing as the TV happens to broadcast the post-match interviews of this year’s Champions League final.

From the TV comes the voice of Premier League superstar Jelang: ”San Remo and Lu are like some mysterious force from the East...”

Then, Izalelt’s voice follows: ”My biggest regret was leaving the game early against San Remo a week ago... After the match, Lu asked what I felt, I said I felt his confidence, and he replied that perhaps I hadn’t felt enough.”

”At the time, I didn’t understand what he meant, but now I think I do. Lu is a very excellent player, and I will pay close attention to his performance in Serie B next season.”

Luo Cheng frowned, his professional instincts telling him, this Lu... this so-called mysterious force from the East... could it be an Asian person?

”Did you guys watch this year’s Italian Cup final?” Luo Cheng asked.

His friends shook their heads, ”Who watches the Italian Cup, I’ve barely watched Serie A this year. Ever since Gutierrez left, there’s been even less to see in Serie A.”

”Yeah, Wolf King Perrotta is past his prime, King of Purple Lilies Carrel is fighting alone, Prince Zebra Ancelotti is plagued by injuries, and top striker Gutierrez has found a new home abroad. Now, only Izalelt is barely worth watching in Serie A.”

”Among them, only AC Milan still has some ambition in European Competition, the rest of the teams have completely lost the glory of the Seven Sisters era!”

Luo Cheng stood up and left without saying a word.

Inside, a voice was telling him to find this Lu mentioned by Jelang and Izalelt as soon as possible!

Soon afterward, on a certain foreign soccer illegal streaming site, Luo Cheng found the Italian Cup final that was widely circulated in Europe.

He watched the highlights and quickly saw ”lu” appear.

The face that came into view, Luo Cheng was sure, damn it, was a Chinese person!

”Hello, Yuqin? I’ve got a plan for the first episode of our program, but there’s some information I need you to verify... Yes, take note, Italian Third Division, San Remo, player number twenty-four, Lu...”

”Alright, no problem, you can do it!”
