I AM the Football Star

Chapter 357: Chapter 105: Italian Third Division Champion Gift Pack, Only One of Three Endorsements

So, Sofia needs to complete three tasks over the next two months.

First, she needs to select two or three high-profile endorsements from the plethora available.

This doesn’t mean endorsements with high pay; Sofia is not short of money in the short term, and no endorsement can be more profitable than her making a film. So, high-profile refers to brand value and brand influence.

Those top luxury brands are waiting for Sofia to grace them with her attention.

Second, she needs to pick two or three programs that are high profile, guest-friendly, and not too complex or time-consuming to record. She still needs to maintain basic exposure on various platforms.

A complete lack of activity might also lead to speculation.

But it’s important to choose programs with a clean history.

For example, take domestic programs.

Mango TV is notorious for causing drama with their editing, and if one cannot accept this, they shouldn’t attend Mango TV programs.

Dream Blue’s programs are infamous for their safety hazards, so if one wants to prolong their life, it’s best to participate less in their programs. Not to mention the several incidents, even in programs where nothing happened, like Running Man, there have been several accidents.

Earlier participants on Running Man have broken bones several times, if not for the quick wits or endurance of those guests, they would have been out long ago!

The third point is to select top-notch film resources for investigation and prepare to cooperate with them.

The third point is also the most important, but there’s no rush.

Others are worried Sofia might miss the opportunity with this wave of box office miracles, but they don’t realize Sofia is already waiting for June’s Cannes Film Festival.

She believes that ”The Invisible Guest” won’t come away empty-handed at Cannes.

And with any rewards, her period of benefit will be extended.

So she has plenty of time to pick and choose.

During this period, remaining low-profile keeps Sofia mysterious, unpredictable. It allows high-quality film crews to come to her, turning passivity into initiative.

It’s fair to say, Lu Yang’s suggestions to Sofia are very sound, but Lu Yang didn’t expect that among those vying for Sofia’s resources, someone would also be interested in him.

”Lu! This is an invitation from Armani for you!” Sofia handed Lu Yang a paper invitation.

”What does this mean?” Lu Yang asked.

”They hope you and I will endorse their underwear line together. I’m the female line ambassador, and you’re the male line ambassador.” Sofia spoke with great excitement.

Because this seems to be Lu Yang’s first official endorsement, right?

Not counting things like San Remo’s bakery, ham sausages, and road traffic advisories.

Those were based on personal favors or public welfare, fundamentally different from the endorsement offer from Armani.

”No!” Lu Yang remained calm.

”Why?” Sofia asked.

”Because I’m not their target, you are.” Lu Yang said, ”I’m just an add-on to this endorsement. I’m not like Morici, that shameless, I don’t accept this kind of secondary treatment.”

”Besides... I also don’t want you shooting an underwear ad...”

The latter half of his sentence made a smile spread across Sofia’s face.

Inwardly, she was practically celebrating with a Seabank dance, but on the surface, she had to maintain her composure because, in the East, that’s called restraint and dignity!

Why was Sofia so excited internally?

Because she knew that in the conservative Eastern mindset, underwear is considered very intimate and private.

Not to mention underwear, even in ancient times, when an Imperial Consort needed a medical consultation, the Imperial Physician could only perform a ”suspended silk diagnosis,” threading a red string through a curtain, unseen, only hearing their voice.

Even gazing upon an emperor’s beloved was a capital offense for others.

Lu Yang is intrinsically a very traditional Chinese, and for him, truly accepting someone isn’t about making them unruly, but adding some constraints.

This also represents a significant difference in the concept of ”care and importance” between East and West. Western love means granting freedom, Eastern love means providing more constraints.

Both have their pros and cons depending on the environment and background. Ideally, you’d combine both and use them flexibly.

So, translating what Lu Yang just said, it roughly means... if Sofia shoots an underwear ad, Lu Yang would be a bit jealous!

”I knew it!” Sofia’s smile persisted, still holding the invitation, ”So I went ahead and rejected that underwear endorsement offer for you, and in return, Armani sent this invitation. They hope to get to know you, discover each other gradually, and build trust.”

Only then did Lu Yang ease up, accepting the invitation.

Armani hopes Lu Yang can become their brand ambassador.

Brand friend, brand ambassador, product spokesperson, series spokesperson, brand spokesperson!

According to endorsement levels, a brand ambassador is not as prestigious as the mentioned male underwear spokesperson.

But Lu Yang felt respected by Armani.

Especially since Armani mentioned in the invitation their new series concept in recent years that upholds the ”suit hooligan” idea, which contrasts significantly with their previous gentlemanly style. They need a fresh spokesperson to fill this gap.

So if the collaboration as a brand ambassador goes well, Lu Yang might skip many complicated procedures and become one of the indispensable key spokespersons in the Armani lineup directly.

Of course, Lu Yang won’t be the only brand ambassador.
