I AM the Football Star

Chapter 362: Chapter 106: The Final Stage, Who Is the True Hero? (Part 4)

It was only at this point that Inter Milan felt the true value of their top striker, Gutierrez.

Unfortunately, it is hard to mend a broken mirror, and youth will never return.

After the conflict, even if they smile and reconcile in front of the cameras, the real rift always remains.

Since Gutierrez was substituted in the Italian Cup quarter-finals and had a complete falling-out, he was removed from Inter’s starting lineup, occasionally appearing as a substitute.

The result was that after the Roman Wolf King returned, Inter missed a great opportunity and ultimately finished fifth in the league.

A great hand of cards was played very poorly; Inter is rapidly declining from its peak.

Optimistic fans believe this is just a temporary slump, but after seeing Inter’s aging squad, some fans express concern that this might be a prolonged pain and urge everyone to be prepared.

Speaking of the top striker in Serie A, Gutierrez, one cannot help but mention the top striker in Serie B, Talista.

This season, Chievo, like San Remo, became the Serie B champion with a huge advantage, earning a direct promotion spot to Serie A. Talista was undeniably the backbone of Chievo, dominating the entire Serie B.

There are rumors that after Gutierrez leaves, Inter is interested in bringing Talista this summer to have him inherit the mantle of the top striker in Serie A.

Similarly, with Vedian joining, Benevento made significant adjustments in the early stages and surged in the later stages, eventually overtaking the long-leading Brescia at the last moment to secure the second direct promotion ticket to Serie A.

Brescia, as the third in Serie B, has to compete with the fourth, fifth, and sixth-placed teams in the promotion playoffs for the final promotion spot.

Although the various levels of competition have just ended, some awards will only be announced in a month or so.

But there are some data-based awards that are indisputable.

For instance, in the Italian Third Division, Lu Yang swept the league top scorer and assist titles, Latu Yidi won the league tackling king title, and it’s expected that Lu Yang will also be the league’s best player.

In Serie B, Talista is the league’s top scorer, and the league’s best player is unlikely to go to anyone else.

In Serie A, Gutierrez is the league’s top scorer, but the league’s best player title is rather suspenseful.

Gutierrez’s stats were unparalleled, but unfortunately, Inter only finished fifth in the league.

Perrotta is versatile, but Rome ended the season empty-handed, and his frequent injuries made his stats suffer.

Carrel fought alone, presenting this season’s biggest tragedy in Serie A, gaining high acclaim.

Izalelt, although neither his stats nor his team’s stats are stronger than others, has the most fans and unlimited potential in the Champions League, making him a strong contender.

Only Juventus, despite being the league champion, has no sufficiently outstanding superstar to compete for the Serie A best player title; their strength is limited to internal league dominance.

Ultimately, they could only put forward their starting goalkeeper, Italy’s top Gate God, Gianluigi Audi, to compete for the best player. But Audi is clearly at a disadvantage compared to other players.

In various leagues, only through comparison can we identify the true heroes.

After all leagues have concluded, the remaining matches naturally draw everyone’s attention.

Most league fans actually have no games to watch because their league teams have not reached the Champions League or Europa League finals.

Nor have they reached the final stages of domestic cup competitions.

In this comparison, the fans in Italy are undoubtedly lucky.

They still have the Champions League to watch.

AC Milan fans are the luckiest because their home team has two earth-shattering matches to watch!

The Champions League final on June 1st.

And the Italian Cup final on May 25th.

Though these two games aren’t very close in time, considering the team needs to rotate players before the derby, it’s understandable for AC Milan to rotate players before the Champions League.

But perhaps out of concern that players might lose touch from not playing for too long.

In the squad announced by AC Milan before the Italian Cup final, key players like their main attacking midfielder Izalelt, main left-back Praxedes, and main midfielder Rui Andres are all prominently listed.

This attitude is far more earnest than Naples’ past decision to abandon the Italian Cup trophy for a top-four league position.

Of course, whether Izalelt and others will start or substitute, or whether they will play at all, remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, San Remo also announced their squad.

Once the list was revealed, it aroused widespread controversy.

Because the name Lu Yang was prominently listed!
