I AM the Football Star

Chapter 377: Chapter 110: Leveler? Forced Off Injured! (Part 3)

Regarding this, different people have different opinions.

Some believe that Becher’s performance today was already excellent. He was fouled multiple times by AC Milan players, earning many set pieces for the team.

San Remo’s first goal came from a set piece he created.

He’s already run out of energy.

In the last ten minutes or so, Becher’s threat has greatly diminished. If it goes to overtime, his condition will worsen. At that time, AC Milan can apply pressure to San Remo without hesitation.

So, bringing on Belletti doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want to play overtime; it could be that they’re preparing for it.

After all, this year San Remo has a kind of mystique—whenever they enter overtime, they haven’t lost a match!

They’re truly the kings of overtime!

Seven cup matches, four or five went into overtime, one went to a penalty shootout for a sudden-death victory, and several were sudden-death overtime victories.

This kind of mystique, to say AC Milan isn’t afraid, would be a lie.

Because they can feel the power of this mystique now.

The San Remo miracle is taking off; Lu Yang, with two goals and an assist, can you believe it?

Don’t say you believe it; before the game, people couldn’t even imagine it!

”Chaloba, don’t push forward when we attack. At any time, as soon as Lu Yang enters our half, you must come and restrict him immediately!” AC Milan’s starting center-back brought instructions from the head coach.

The young Chaloba acknowledged the order.

He glared fiercely at Lu Yang.

If it weren’t for Lu Yang, he might have just made a world-class tackle.

However now... he’s just one of the background figures for a world-class goal.

Saying he doesn’t hate Lu Yang would be a lie.

After all, he’s still a youth player, not even a stable first-team substitute at AC Milan; he needs every chance to shine.

Anyone who extinguishes his opportunities is his enemy.

Bam!

Soon, as Lu Yang received the ball near midfield, he was immediately brought down by AC Milan’s left-back Chaloba.

Considering Chaloba’s position, this was undoubtedly a close guard.

The referee quickly came over but didn’t give Chaloba a yellow card because Chaloba’s action wasn’t excessive; it was just a slightly forceful regular defense.

Normally, Lu Yang would quickly get up, then glare at his opponent to make them feel his anger and know he’s not to be messed with.

This is Lu Yang’s steely side.

But this time, Lu Yang lay on the ground, not getting up for a long time.

”What’s going on here?”

”Let’s take a look at the replay... oh, when Lu Yang received the ball, his right leg was the supporting leg. Chaloba pressed over, and Lu Yang bore the entire body and the energy from gravitational acceleration.”

”Lu Yang’s right leg had a clearly unnatural bending motion!”

”After getting a cortisone shot, Lu Yang’s right knee doesn’t just not hurt; he basically has no sensation in his right knee. When you can’t feel something, it’s easy to injure it.”

”Lu Yang just now didn’t offload properly, or perhaps, eager to control the ball, he didn’t have the extra mental energy to control his body — this directly sprained his right leg!”

”His right leg may not hurt, but it seems like he can’t exert any force on it. We can see Lu Yang sitting on the ground, punching his right leg, as if trying to awaken a body that’s already necrotic!”

”Oh my, I find it hard to watch what might happen next.”

”San Remo’s players gathered around immediately, but they didn’t confront Chaloba or step forward to comfort Lu Yang. They don’t know what to do at this point, perhaps having never seen their leader with such a helpless expression.”

”Morici called for the medics to come quickly, and the San Remo medical team is inspecting.”

”It seems quite bad; the medical team is asking Lu Yang some questions, like if it hurts or if he can feel them pressing on his knee, and Lu Yang keeps shaking his head.”

”Chaloba’s collision was just a trigger; Lu Yang playing injured with a cortisone shot is the root cause. Also... that amazing 60-meter solo run earlier might have shattered AC Milan’s pride and confidence, but it also completely broke down Lu Yang’s right leg.”

”That kind of load exceeded what Lu Yang could bear. This is not just about pain; I even suspect that his crucial muscles and tendons might be torn already! I also worry if his meniscus has already been ground down!”

”This is an injury beyond willpower!”

”Oh my! San Remo’s medical staff is signaling for the stretcher.”

”Wait, Lu Yang refused the stretcher! Lu Yang stood up!”

In the center of the field, Lu Yang gestured that he didn’t need a stretcher and stood up himself. He knocked on his right thigh and told the medical staff, ”Relax guys, I was just a bit exhausted; you see, I’m perfectly fine now!”

After he said this, Lu Yang even jumped slightly twice and jogged a bit, trying to prove he was okay.

But soon...

Thud!

Lu Yang, who hadn’t run more than two meters, suddenly collapsed on the ground.

He couldn’t feel his right leg anymore.

He felt like a cripple; his right side was empty and unsupported.

Even the cortisone couldn’t reverse this situation.

This means that there is definitely a serious problem with Lu Yang’s right leg!

Not just a problem as simple as a muscle strain!

There could be an issue with the cruciate ligament!

”Really pressing it!” Lu Yang finally revealed a slight bitter smile as he buried his head on the grass.

After exploiting this for so long, everything had been smooth sailing, but damn, a simple muscle strain got worse. This probably means starting with a cruciate ligament tear; a complete tendon rupture is also possible, right?
